Overview: Nice chain sandwich shop located very close to Hershey Park. Food: I came here recently and it was my first time to eat at any Isaac’s. I was happy to see they had not only a large variety of sandwiches, but also a large variety of breads! The chips aren’t anything too special, but I really did like the pickled veggies given at the start. A nice touch! We ordered their special fall dessert, which was a pumpkin-cranberry layered cake. It was divine! Recommend: The pretzel rolls are very tasty! Atmosphere: Bright, airy, and open. Great place to bring children. Service: Our server was kind and attentive. She refilled out drinks quickly and brought us everything we needed promptly.

I wish I could give themNO STARS! I drove from harrisburg becasue I was told how dirty the other isaacs were. I was seated by a pretty blonde and mustve waited 12 – 15 min with no waiter coming by to even give me a drink. Skinny blonde male waiter in the back seating area… be aware your surroundings!!!

i have to say, we have been to Isaac’s two times in the last year after our visit to Hershey Park and it is the best food in town. The menu is very kid friendly, vegetarian friendly and seems to have fresh vegetables all the time. The staff is also very kid friendly. I wish there was one in Silver Spring.

We were vacationing in Hershey with 2 kids, age 3 and 5, so we needed a kid friendly place. We saw the takeout menu for Isaac’s in our hotel lobby, and decided to try it. First of all, Grace, our server was as nice and friendly as waitstaff gets. She was just a happy person. Right off the bat, the kids got bags of Goldfish crackers, to appease cranky hungries that kids often get! They got crayons and menus with puzzles and coloring pages. They loved it. My daughter is into anything ‘jungle’ these days so she was totally into it. The food: so many choices! Especially for kids! They got the pizza, it came with chips and carrot sticks. My kids are veggie eaters, so they loved this. I got the pepper jack soup and a chicken salad on French bread with a side of greens. My husband got 2 sandwiches, with greens and applesauce. Everything was fresh and tasty. We even got dessert — Kids got cookies and a sundae(included with their meal) and my husband and I got the peanut butter pie and caramel apple pie with ice cream. Everything was delicious. Overall, I wish we had Isaac’s in NJ! Such a great family place and so many options for kids and health conscious! They even have gluten free flatbread! What more could you ask?

After living in Hershey for about 4 years and not trying Isaac’s, I decided to stop in for lunch with a few friends. Unfortunately, I found this restaurant to be not worth the money. I ordered a turkey club and it was pretty tasteless; the meat was bland and the bread wasn’t even properly toasted. My friends also thought that their sandwiches were just okay and nothing special. With many good lunch options in the Hershey area, there’s really no reason to spend your money here.

Ok, sandwiches can come and go based on the the fixings. You can only make a turkey sandwich so many different ways. Same goes for any other meat or fixing you put into it. HOWEVER, Isaacs has found a way to blow you away. I don’t know how they do it, but they do. This place rocks! I had the Gooney Bird Sandwich and the Pepperjack Soup as a combination. It was so good that I had to go back and do it again the following day. The food, the atmosphere, the staff(which can be a smidge pushy), etc… all good to go. If I had a gripe, it’s the lack of selection on their sides. I wanted potatoe salad instead of chips… they could do that, but as an added side, not a replacement, then charge it as an additional side. Worth complaining about, not really, but just watch out none-the-less as all you are really getting with your sandwich is chips or carrots.

Amazing tomato pepperjack soup and a wide selection of sandwiches — with vegetarian options that are actually good and creative. I don’t get the bird theme, but Issac’s is full of win. The Hummelstown location is in a strip mall, but is surprisingly clean and spacious.

We go to Isaac’s quite often and are signed up for the e-mail list, which regularly sends coupons. The staff is always friendly and the food is generally always pretty good.

My husband and I met for lunch and needed to stay closeby. Not wanting greasy fast food such as KFC next door we decided to give this place a try. It is good but pretty pricey. I got the salty eagle which is ham and cheese on a pretzel. For $ 7.99 I was expecting a bigger sandwich. it was pretty small but was very tasty. The fresh cut corn chowder was amazing, the best part although expensive as well I believe the bowl was around $ 6. The medium size is $ 5.79 and the large is $ 6.59, can’t remember which one we got. The décor was cute. lots of real life bird pictures. In summary. nice clean place with decent service and tasty food but sadly overpriced. I’d probably only go back if I had a coupon to bring down the price.

What you need to know about Issac’s is in it’s name. It’s a restaurant & deli with all the trappings that you might expect. Pros: 1. Wide selection of sandwiches, both pretzel and normal. The pretzel sandwiches are quite delicious. 2. Free pickles and other vegetables if you care to sit and eat.(Although for me this is a con. Pickles are cucumbers soaked in EVIL.) 3. Tasty soup of the day options, with or without bread bowls.(The pepper jack tomato soup is quite wonderful) Cons: 1. Kind of pricey for what it is. Ordering a soup and salad ran me about 11 bucks.(To be fair, I added chicken in the salad… but still! It’s just a salad!) 2. Service is sometimes bad. One of my friends had raspberry vinaigrette spilled over his pants, and the waitress had now idea what she was supposed to do.(Eventually this was rectified by the manager.) In summary, Issac’s is a decent place to grab a quick bite. Not a place that makes you want to hang out for a while, but definitely clean. I’d give it 3.5 stars, but Unilocal won’t let me and 4 stars is too much.
