Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Hershey at the Park

This place is closed and does not exist anymore. There is a Hampton on there instead.

There are two hotels. I stayed at the Harrisburg location but accidentally reviewed this one.

Beautiful accommodations; hop, skip & a jump to Hersheyworld & Park. Best breakfast ever at a hotel. Nice pool, friendly staff, there’s not a thing to dislike!

The ONLY place I’ll stay when visiting Hershey!
** I’m admittedly reluctant to give the shining review I want to because I feel like this is my own little hidden gem. A secret wonderful affordable place to stay that I’ve discovered before the masses
But since we’ve just returned & probably won’t be returning for a year or so, I guess I’ll share …
LOCATION:
1 very short straight run directly into Hershey Park
SERVICE: Very friendly & accommodating
ROOMS: Clean, new + nice amenities. Compact microwave (they even sell frozen meals in the store lobby), coffee maker, mini fridge, good hair dryer, quality shampoo/​conditioner/​lotion & soap. Great water pressure, comfy beds & pillows. Temperature controls worked excellent.
*I’m subtracting 1 Star for the lack of lighting. Even with the windows open in the daylight the room could’ve used another brighter light. Sounds trivial but when a female is getting ready & trying to apply makeup — it matters.
The POOL /​Jacuzzi area was clean & kept at a nice temperature. They provide towels so no need to bring your own. Plenty of chairs to sit & relax while you watch the kids.
The gym was cute & clean — a few treadmills & an elliptical. Towels provided there also.
They also have a washer/​dryer room if you need to wash anything.

FREE Breakfast! Yes my family of ‘4’ ate a FULL tasty breakfast for freeeee! Ok I know a lot of hotel chains advertise breakfast included but its usually a «continental» type i.e. a few bread pieces I could’ve thrown in my carry-​on. This was a full meal. The friendly staff served up:
Egg & cheese omelets, sausage links, French toast, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, cold cereal selection, coffee, 3 kinds of juices, tea, muffins, even make-​your-​own-​waffles with fruit, chocolate & different toppings. Couldn’t have asked for more!
Did I mention eating it in a full lounge of tables, chairs, flat screen tv with shows on for the kiddies AND a «Children’s Corner» with child size chairs, bench, toy box with activities such as coloring books & crayons! This came in very handy on a late night return when the hubs & I wanted to sit & relax with a coffee :-). There is also a mini library in the lobby –next to the fireplace– with books to read or browse & return when finished. Lots to keep the kids busy!
They keep fresh baked delicious chocolate chip cookies throughout the lobby for your taking.
I really loved it here! Hope they keep up the quality for years to come. We will definitely stay here again. I’m hoping to have a little more time to relax around the hotel & maybe enjoy the outdoor porch area one night. Nice teak tables & chairs with a couple rockers thrown in. Adorable.
*Also — they sell discounted Hershey Park tix right at the front desk.

Clean, nice, convenient location. Stayed on our way home to Indiana from NYC on Spring Break with 6 and 10 year old kids. Close to Chocolate World and attractions. Nice pool and hot tub. Good breakfast. Decent high speed Internet, but most importantly… free. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Quite. Breakfast included, although not made to order. A little bit out of the way but freeway entrance and exit is close. Really clean. Free Internet. Lots of free parking.

Good stay and friendly and clean hotel. Breakfast needs to go up a notch (microwave egg patties) to get five stars. Very close to Hershey Park.

I have to say this was the first time we stayed at country inn and suites. It was excellent. Staff was wonderful, rooms nice and clean. Very comfortable. Food service staff is A+. Has a nice pool and jacuzzi, worth using. I would stay here again and again!

Great hotel. New, clean, close to Hershey park, and friendly staff. I am a pilot who stays in hotels 4 – 5 nights a week so I consider myself an expert judge of hotels. I brought my family here on vacation. Nice and clean with fresh cookies waiting for you at front desk. Breakfast in the morning was great-​plenty to choose from. Coffee in the lobby 24hrs also a plus. Less than 5 minutes from the Hershey campus. Only downside would be a pool that is a little small and crowded. I would recommend to anyone!

Great hotel — very clean with courteous staff. Nice breakfast spread includes which saves you time and money in the morning as you try to wrangle the family together to hit the local attractions. Nice indoor pool and hot tub that are open until 11pm to wind down after the day is through.
