Well… I wanted to go back to this place to get my hair weaved. And usually they do appointments on Mon — Thurs. But, I was told by the owner that since it’s «income tax season» there is no guarantee that I will be seen at my appt time. She pretty much recommended that I just walk in and take my chances on getting the stylist that I want. Well, I told her that if I wanted to wait all day to get my hair done that I would have simply«walked in» on the weekend. I think that it is unprofessional to change your own procedure of honoring appointments Mon-Thurs all because of GREED. I told her that they should be consistent and because they are not, I will be going to a different stylist. She didn’t seem to have a problem with that. She politely said, «Ok Doll.» Smh… Terrible business ethics.

Easily the worst experience I’ve ever had. Now as black women we know that there is no such thing as getting in and out the hair salon. I always prepare for that. Especially because this place takes mostly walk-ins I understood I would be waiting for a while which was fine for $ 50. But I actually didn’t wait too long but everything else went wrong. Just like everyone else said they charge for everything! I came with my natural hair in two French braids and they charged me $ 10 to take them out. Seriously?! Just to undo two braids? The braider definitely braided my hair too tight then when the stylist started to do my sew-in I couldn’t take it. I left with my hair undone and went home to take some Tylenol. I took out some tracks and sewed the rest in myself the next day. When I took out my hair a month later I had a scab from where my hair was too tight originally. I really didn’t have high expectations going in because it was advertised as being only $ 50 but wtf.

I’m only giving a one star because I have to give at least one to post a review. This place should be closed down. For starters, the hair they sell and claim to be Human is not!!! Don’t be fooled, it looks silky and soft and after about 5 days it is dried out, sheds like crazy, matted and looks horrible. I went to a real hair dresser and said I should sue them for fraud. my scalp was infected from the synthetic hair and I had to get on antibiotics. Don’t fall for their cheap advertising, cheap isn’t always the way to go. These con artist are ripping off clients as well as there employees. We should file a class action against these shysters! stay tuned and stay away people. …

This place is soooooooooooooo Fraud!!! They got me on their Bait and Switch I just left there today and I looked the receptionist right in the eye on my way back and told her nicely I won’t be back! They advertise a basic $ 50 sew-in and walk-ins welcomed. So foolishly I walked in today with my hair for the basic $ 50 install… but I was immediately told that my 3 bundles plus closure made my service automatically $ 170!!! Keep in my i was NOT requesting anything special. But supposedly the only way they will install a closure is if you pay a minimum $ 170. At first I was going to walk out, I wish i would have, but since I was there and my hair needed to be done I said I’d do it. So they told me to have a seat and my stylist would be with me shortly. 30 minutes later my stylist, KIARA, walked in with her food. She went to eat first then she came out to start my hair. I was still optimistic at this point. She washed my hair and told me someone else would braid it. Then she went to the store. When she came back and seen that my braids hadn’t been started she then braided it herself. What bothered me the most was the OUTRAGEOUSPRICE. I could tell Kiara was fairly new. I didn’t have a big issue with her being new(stabbed my head with the needle at least 3 times, burned me with the curling iron once). But at the rate of $ 170 I should get an experienced stylists not some newbie who was very cold and seemed to have an attitude towards me. She was friendly to her co-workers but very cold and moody towards me. I knew then I would never sit in her chair again. I don’t need a stylist to talk to me but I don’t like them to be rude and dry either. I got the impression she didn’t want to do my hair. But I didn’t request her so I don’t know why she got stuck with me. But she won’t be bothered with doing my hair again! So she finishes up and it’s just ok. Nothing WOW about it. Looks a little wiggy but I can fix that myself. But imagine my surprise when I went to check out after my service and was told my total was $ 193(no Taxes included). So I ask why is it over $ 20 more than the already outrageous price they gave me before? Apparently, there was an extra $ 20 shampoo service that I wasn’t informed was not included in their earlier quote! I WILLNOTBEBACKTOTHISHORRIBLEPLACE!!! I have heard about super weave express but there was so much mixed reviews I decided to check it out for myself. I went to the 1960 location and I bought 3 bundles on sale totaled to be $ 270 ish. I got a 16, 18, and 20 in Brazilian loose wave. I saw the bundles in the receptionist hair and it was laid! I purchased the hair about 3 weeks back however It’s only been 2 weeks since I’ve installed the hair and I am not happy. Originally it was soft and beautiful after about 5 days. Now it is stiff! It sheds a LOT and gets matted very quickly. I have deep conditioned it 4 times to see if it would help and it only helps until I walk outside. After that’s it’s done for. I will never purchase from them again. Damn near $ 300 wasted smh. At this point there is probably nothing that can be done and I am really just over it. Maybe you might have a different experience but I will just never make this same mistake twice.

It takes forever to get your hair done, they will keep saying you are next but you won’t be and they will nickel and dime you for every service. I really need to find a stylist out here because this place isn’t ok.

So far, so good. The receptionist is polite. I should’ve come earlier though. Will update afterwards.

If you are looking for a step up from a student then this is the place for you. Experience is under 5 years and they can only do hair within certain perimeters of what they have been taught. They charge professional prices but the quality of work and customer service skills have some maturing to do… They are trying…
