I’ve been a long time Shipleys loyal but this place has made me a fan. Today though the woman who was helping me was really hard to understand and she put half of our dozen donuts in a box nicely and the other half she shoved in a bag. I was so confused by this and by the time we got home all of those donuts were covered in chocolate from the others. Kind of annoying. But– in regards to taste, everything is wonderful and we will certainly be back.

The variety was not as much as I’ve seen in other places but the service was fast, the donuts were good and they have these mini kaloches that are delicious with a touch of mustard. It looks like there aren’t very many donut shops in the area so I’m glad southern maid is here.

My boys love these donuts and kolaches. We no longer go to Shipley’s. And they have boudin kolaches… Nom nom!!!

I go here pretty regularly and I’m not sure if there is a better donut shop in the vicinity. Their apple fritters are some of the I’ve ever had. Also, I love their spicy boudin kolaches! My only knock on them is that they run out of fritters fairly quickly so it would be nice if they could keep them stocked… but I think this just speaks to how much people love their fritters so its hard to hold it against them.

I stopped by this place on my way to IAH to bring some kolaches back with me. They have fresh baked goods and many different types of kolaches (jumbo ones, jalapeño-​filled hotdogs, kountry boy kolache, boudain kolache, etc), cheese/​egg/​sausage buns or bacon buns or cheese croissants, you name it!
This place is relatively new so it’s very clean. Service is great (the lady that works there helped me pick out a bunch of different ones). Prices are good too! So, if you find yourself in the area, stop by and grab some delicious baked goods!
