I’m sad to say this was not a good experience. Being a Landry select member we usually have a good experience dining in any of the restaurants. But today was mediocre. The food was not prepared as I requested. Had to wait for it to be fixed while my husband ate his food. The waiter was nice and helped the best he could considering he didn’t prepare the meal. One of the runners who was a young lady was quite rude. I give people the benefit of the doubt but she appeared to have an attitude with everyone. I’m here for the food and a quiet dinner with my family. And to have so many problems with our food. Looks like it’s time to find a new steak house…

Service was absolutely fantastic; but the food was mediocre. Nothing was special about the bread or the steak. The steak definitely needed salt. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that great especially for the prices you pay. Texas Roadhouse is better and cheaper.

Now I remember why we haven’t been back even though we are Landry Select Club Members. Let me start with the wait time: over 15 minutes on a weekday at 5:00 pm. Even though there were maybe 3 other tables occupied in the whole restaurant, our waitress never waited on us. The manager and another waiter took our order and checked on us. I explicitly stated medium rare and was given an over done steak. So while my husband his meal, I sat and waited. I will not return.

Started with the Range Rattlers and Shrimp and Chicken Enbrochette, both were probably better than your typical Chain Restaurant type appetizers. For an entrée I had the Steak K Bob, the food runner let me know that he dropped a Sirloin Piece in transit but that he’d replace it. I appreciated the honesty but the Sirloin was never delivered. The dish wasn’t anything special so I didn’t think it was worth mentioning. I think I had higher hope for Texas BBQ and not sure why the hotel sent us here for our first experience for Texas dining.

This is the best Saltgrass I’ve eaten in. Always delicious steak! Never disappointed with the service. This is a great place for an every day salad, steak and potato. Also, the margaritas are top notch.

The moment I took a bite out of my Pat’s Rib eye steak, I was sold! All I can say is… the beef texture was on point and tasted very juicy and delicious. Cooked medium to perfection and wasn’t chewy at all. I also loved the complimentary bread with honey butter and my side of macaroni and cheese. Everything was perfect! If it’s your birthday, they have a complimentary birthday cake too. The size looks like it’s a ¼ cut from a 10″ cake. No joke.
Thank you Bryan for your exceptional service! He also asked his co-​worker to recommend us good bars and dessert places to go to, as well. Everyone’s very friendly. This place was well worth my time to visit from my layover :)

Pretty good steak house, I came here for my birthday with my husband and everything tasted wonderful! I’ve never had the steak from here and I’m glad I finally tried it. The manager was very sweet as he gave me a free birthday dessert and didn’t have to! I will be back!

We had amazing service on Valentine’s day with no reservations. We waited 45 minutes for seating but that was expected given the Holiday. Once seated we had Impeccxablrle service!!! Mike B was our server and he was extremely tentative. My spouse accidentally forgot to mention to hold the bacon on his shrimp (we don’t eat pork) and the manager was completely understanding and didn’t give us hassle about switching the shrimp out, in fact he brought us double of the correct shrimp. We eat at a lot of restaurants and none have this kind of amazing customer service. I was really impressed with the service and im hard to impress! I will definitely return and recommend this place

We keep going here and we keep having hit or miss experiences. More than anything, I think it depends on where we’re seated. Out in the main room, we feel like cattle packed into a trailer on our way to the feed lot. Seated in the more quiet areas, much nicer. I also think the service runs a little better in the less crowded areas.
Today’s food was OK, but on the general trend, I cannot help but feel that the quality of the beef is on the downhill run. It’s often not as tender as I would hope and not nearly as flavorful as the price would lead you to think it should be. OK, yeah, it’s a steak chain, but dang it, I want flavor of beef, not just a fancy rub and your precious grill marks. This is especially true when the ambiance in your main room is just shy of high school lunch room, the way you have people packed in.
I figure we will probably be back, but it’s going to be a while for me.

Not bad overall, but since arriving in the area, not the best steakhouse food that I have enjoyed. The atmosphere is cheery, and the wait staff is top notch, but the flavor of the prime rib is somewhat of a mystery. The lettuce in the salad that accompanied the meal seemed as if it had been frozen and thawed prior to serving — not pleasant, and certainly inedible. I may come back, but only if someone else is buying.

Very disappointed in the quality of food for the prices they charge. My salmon was overcooked and my salad had lettuce and vegetables that were not fresh at all. Service was all right but I just didn’t think the food was worth what I had to pay.

We haven’t been to this place since it opened and we had the worst service/​experience ever at that time! This time WOWED us! We were so glad to FINALLY give it another chance. No wait to be seated at 6:30p on a week night but the place was poppin’.
We started with the Rattlers appetizer that was phenomenal and perfect heat/​flavor combination. Our salads showed up almost immediately as we took our last appetizer bite. Our drinks were refilled at times without us knowing and dirty dishes were picked up by any server passing by. My husband had steak and I had to try the chicken fried chicken. Although my man finished his entire meal I could only devour about 1⁄3 and was glad to take the rest home for lunch the following day!
We will be returning for sure and LOVE how relaxed, easy, quick and delicious our meal was. Thanks Kyle for being such a great server too!

Strongggg cocktails! & you can call ahead!
This was a great Saltgrass location. I loved it! We had a great waiter, great seats, great drinks and great food. Whenever I’m craving their stuffed chicken breast and sangrias, I will be visiting this location again.
