On the Rox Sports Bar & Grill

Use to go here a lot a when it first opened because of the no smoking side. Stopped when we were kicked out of the non-​smoking side so some people from another bar could watch a pre-​season football game in it.
We went here for a friend’s birthday on Saturday because he can smoke in the bar. Waitress was really fast to get us drinks but then copped an attitude when a friend as about a certain drink. Then it was another 30 minutes when we saw another waitress. Even thought the first helped everyone around us. We ordered food only to find out that there was no French fries, no sour dough buns, and ran out of Dr. Pepper. Just wondering how you run out of basic things. Food was good second waitress was awesome. Pretty sad service from the first one

This spot has a welcoming feeling and many smiling faces. The happy hour prices are very good. The crowds are always great and the food isn’t bad.

This place is ok. The bartenders are nice. The crowd is descent. It seemed a little low energy for me. The smoking inside is by far my biggest complaint. Beers were reasonably priced. I would come back if I just feel like getting out of the house because it is close but I wasn’t dying to go back.

Went last Friday night and arrived before my friend. I was immediately hit on by 2 regulars (the bartender knew their names and their friends). Once my friend arrived, they returned and hit on the both of us and one was particularly vulgar. The bartender did nothing to help us from falling victim to their nasty attempts of getting our attention. I won’t even go into what was shouted at me on my way to the restroom. Although we had our drinks and food put on the other peoples tabs, we were in such a rush to leave, we forgot to tip. I returned and gave him some money but I was literally running in and out. I Can’t help but think John Taffer needs a visit to this place.

This is the hubs & my go to spot when we want to go out for good drinks & music in the neighborhood. DJ Antonio Cerdafied Cerda is the best DJ in Texas! And their kitchen doesn’t close until 1am hello! Went after the fight last night & had a great time as always, and also celebrated my birthday here a few months back. Atascocita is lucky to have a cool spot like this.

This place has great daily specials and the bartenders are on their game. On weekends they have a DJ and a dance floor. It’s smokey inside, but that would really be my only complaint! The food is typical bar food, but pretty good.

This place reminds me of a Florida-​Georgia Line concert, that’s not really a compliment. It’s crawling with cowbros and drunk patrons. If you are depressed and hating life, I encourage you to go to one of their karaōke nights. You’ll immediately feel much better about yourself.
With that said I’d give it 3 stars since I’ve always had good interactions with the staff, they have above average food, a good selection of games (big buck, pool, golden tee), and a decent selection of beer.

I feel like I’ve traveled back to the early millennium when you go to a bar and come home smelling like a chimney. The city of Humble needs to get their sh! t together and ban smoking inside venues. Even my friends who smoke complained about this. There is a huge patio in the front for smokers… use it! RANT OVER.
On a brighter note, the DJ is freaking awesome. I was the dancing queen of On The Rox that Saturday night. It wasn’t even my birthday and I stole the show… per usual (kidding… but not really). The DJ played a good mixture of rap, hip hop, country, and EDM. I get that this place is not really meant for dancing but they have a small dance floor in front of the DJ booth. After two songs, you’ll be drenched in sweat because it’s such a small area.
I would never imagine getting bottle service at this place but my friend managed to do so for her birthday. Interesting — definitely not the same atmosphere you would get at a regular club/​lounge but I guess if you live all the way out in Atascocita, this is the best they have for the area.

Only my second time here. Service is great. Waiters make you feel welcome. Had the hot dogs, which were delicious!!! Not to mention Titos shots on sale on Thursdays along with TNF and a DJ after the game… Will be back soon… Ask for Chrissy she is wonderful…

It took way too long to get our food, the waitress was not attentive, we had to ask for more drinks, napkins, forks … She did not pay attention to the needs of the people at the table. The fried fish was not cooked thoroughly, the chicken quesadillas did not have a taste to them and the chicken was dry.
It wasn’t busy when we arrived, but they do need more than one waitress by this time. As time went by, she was taking care of the bar and all the tables and yeah that didn’t work.
Don’t think I will be visiting again unless I just want to play some pool or darts and drink up..

OTR turkey on jalapeño bun and Karbach Double IPA. EXCELLENT match. Didn’t get my 20% off as stated on Unilocal… so we have a little problem here with the advertising here on Unilocal. No reason to downgrade the service, selection of beer, and food because of it though.
The service was still great and Tabby gave me a little discount but could not approve the 20%. Great referral to the IPA and sandwich.

Got to say this place is awesome. The staff is amazing. When you walk in they make you feel like family welcome you and ready to serve you. Everyone has their own idea of what a sports bar is supposed to be. And mine is this place. Love it do to have the time to go as often as I used to go. But I go every chance I get. Anytime I am in town this is the place to stop in and say hello. Great food. Great prices. And the best part they have the best staff working to make sure your happy.

Pretty cool place to hang out and have a few drinks. They have good food at decent prices. Staff is really friendly and will hang out and chat when they arnt slammed

Came here to try something different for dinner. The atmosphere seemed like a fun place to bring lots of friends. We both ordered burgers and I am an egg and bacon burger junky so i ordered that. It was very yummy. The ONLY HUUUUUUUGGGEEEEE complaint and the reason we will never go back is the SMOKE! They are in the county were its ok to smoke inside. So if you’re ok with the smoke then you would love this place. The music is great too.
Also its REALLY hard to find based on your phone maps. We drove around a huge shopping center parking lot looking for it because they didnt have a sign from 1960. Only the small back road on the other side.

I had a few friends that came into town for the weekend visiting their families, and they wanted to have drinks to catch up. I normally am not a sports girl kind of gal, but i decided to go. First, I’d like to start with the location of this place. The location itself is very frustrating trying to find. On The Rox is located in a strip center practically hidden from 1960 all together. I had to call my friends a handful of times because i was completely lost! After 30 minutes of driving around in circles (literally) i found the bar. From the outside it seems like your regular sports bar and grill, and on the inside it is the same as well. Lots of beer advertisement and décor all over the walls. The place itself was not bad, but the service was so bad my friends and i walked out within minutes. A waitress came to our table, said hi, and walked away. One of my friends even gave her our drink order, but she never returned.

My boyfriend and I have been going here since they opened. We usually sit at the bar and always get great service. As for the food, we usually only get burgers, but they always turn out just the way we want them. Tuesday’s are the best day to go as everything on tap is only $ 3. This is our go to place in Atascocita.

We’d driving by this place so many times since we live down the street. We finally decided to try it. Meh… It was more of a young guys/​college crowd; which isn’t bad, but we’re a little just past colleg aged. The DJ had good music playing, but it was so loud, my husband and I couldn’t hold a conversation. The smoke was also too thick for me. We ended up seated at the end of the bar, by the bathrooms, because some guy was saving a seat for some girl, and he wasn’t nice about it. So it did take the bartender a while to see us. The bartenders were 3 young girls, wearing as little as possible… I’m guessing that’s why it looked like a college frat party in there. They do have an outside patio, and maybe if we ever decide to venture there again, we’ll sit outside for the fresh air.

My wife and I love On the Rox in Atascocita! Great drink specials and tons of beer to choose from on tap. Tuesdays are my favorite day to go. Everything on tap is $ 3 and the burgers are buy one get one! The place also has a really friendly staff and management. We always get treated well when we visit. This is without a doubt the best bar in the Humble/​Atascocita/​Kingwood area. The only negative part which isn’t their fault is the smoking. It’s not allowed in Houston bars which is great but once who leave the city limits and get into Atascocita it’s ok to do. That’s my only small complaint. It’s not so bad that it keeps my wife and I away. We still love this place!

I totally disagree with the person who commented on the crawfish below, I have had nothing be great experiences there with my husband and friends at this location! While I don’t eat crawfish — my husband and all of my friends order them by the pounds all the time! In fact, I have taken several photos of the crawfish as it has been served and have attached a couple as well.
In addition, the service and ALL of the other menu items have been amazing! Love this place! Ask others around in the area and they will tell you the same!

We were on the hunt for crawfish yesterday, and as the season is in full-​swing, I called around for availability and pricing. Reluctant from reading the previous review, we took our chances, so glad we did!!! The prices were by far the cheapest around, and AMAZING! Perfect seasoning, and actually had some heat. We went on a Sunday, who knew happy hour all day! Looking at their calendar, On The Rox offers a lot of daily specials through out the week. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning soon.
Don’t be scared, try the crawfish!
