This is a fantastic place to buy instruments of all kinds, from guitars, to drums, to horns! The thing that sets it apart from Guitar Center and the likes is the staff! A man by the name Rod Robert works there just about 24/7, and he is truly a wonderful guy to do business with! Always very friendly and helpful, I was blown away with the service there! I am currently taking guitar lessons there, and I look forward to it every week! They have an array of instructors, so you’re likely to find one you like! Also, Rod is in a Beatles tribute band called The Fab 5! If you ever get a chance to see them, do it! He’s the drummer! All in all, a great place to buy instruments of all kind, with fantastic service, and a great place to take lessons!

I was in a pinch and this music store was out of new music stands when I called, but Rod went the extra mile to sell me a used music stand from the teaching studios in the back just so I could get to my gig on time. Thanx Humble Music Center!(or Band Together, whatever your official name might be :) Will definitely go back when I need more music equipment.

Okay, I have lived in Humble since the day I was born and know a lot of the local shops. About 10 years ago I started to play guitar and like any guitarist I needed to find a place to purchase musical merchandise. The options are few and far between and it’s either Humble Music or Pawn Shops. Learn from my mistake, choose the pawn shops. Humble music is overpriced and their workers were always rude to me as a younger musician just trying to learn the basics and find things to get me going. They’ve robbed me blind one too many times. Example: Inside the store they have a Crate tube combo practice amp marked at 200 dollars; I was interested in it until I ebayed it in store on my iphone. The going price was 75 to 100 dollars. I’ve tried to use them as a place for upgrading gear, but they are unfair in trades. My proposed trade was a 72 Guild Jumbo Body. Their offer was 100 dollars towards a cheap acoustic guitar that they had apparently invested some stock in and had a truckload full of(Plus the 100 dollar deduction would have put it closer to MSRP than at a true sale price). Finally, I dropped off a hollowbody there for upgrading pickups after I had removed most of the hardware. Gene quoted me at 140 dollars(100 just to attempt to do this«daunting task») and said it wouldn’t be done for 4 or 5 days. I called up Neil Sargent after I heard about his shop and he only charged 30 bucks and did the upgrade in 20 minutes WHILE I WAITED. The point is that this place has NO real selling point for me. I love local shops and enjoy find hole in the wall shops to do business with, but I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do business with Humble Music ever again.

This is a good local music(instrument) store. I have purchased a used guitar, strings and music books from them. I have taken lessons there as well. I took guitar lessons for about a year from Brian Turner. He is good teacher and an excellent musician. They offer lessons for drums, piano and other instruments too.
