I was really let down. I used to live on the south shore, but moved to Oregon a couple years ago. I’m on a trip home, and I wanted to get some fried belly clams, because you can’t find them on the left coast. My Dad(who lives here) said we should try this place — he hadn’t been, but it looked nice. We ordered two clam plates, and waited about a half hour. They gave us clam rolls instead. When I pointed out the mistake, they simply removed the rolls and gave them back(Clam rolls don’t have as many clams, and cost less). We had to run, so I didn’t get a very good look at them until after we left. Everything tasted like the fryer hadn’t been changed in days. The portions weren’t great, the fries were overcooked and a bit chewy, the clams had tiny bellies, and they were a little tough. I’m not sure if they were supposed to come with coleslaw, but we didn’t get any. I’m really sorry we went to this place. My Dad said he won’t be going back either.

My wife and I went to Lobster Express on a Saturday afternoon to make use of a Groupon for a lobster bake for two($ 45.00). I called the day before at 5pm for a noon-time pickup of a cooked lobster bake(otherwise, they would have given me uncooked lobsters). After paying an additional $ 3 for cooking the lobsters, we took our food out of the shop to eat by the fog-covered berth. Included in the meal were two 1.25-lb lobsters, a bag of mussels(~2 lbs), two bowls of New England clam chowder, two cobs of sweetcorn and a bowl of ribbon pasta. Despite the size, the wild-caught whale-friendly lobsters were very sweet and had soft shells which made for easy cracking. The lobsters we got also turned out to be female so we had a good deal of bright and rich red-orange roe which was delicious yet not overly cloying. The mussels were also very sweet but pretty small in size. Try popping a few into the clam chowder! I found that to add more flavor and texture to the chowder. The chowder itself was not too creamy and had a liberal amount of chunky potato and carrot cubes. I also liked that the chowder was not too cloying and had a pleasant seafood flavor. I would have liked more/larger clams in the chowder, though. I liked the crunchy sweetcorn, which was cooked perfectly and wrapped in aluminium foil to retain the heat. The ribbon pasta was al dente, and tossed with generous amounts of sundried tomatoes and spinach. It was delicious although a tad too greasy from the amount of olive oil used.

Today I had a party catered by lobster express. They brought their own equipment and cooked the lobster in our yard, along with steamers, corn on the cob and chowder. They also supplied paper towels, wet naps, forks and spoons, lobster crackers and picks. The presentation of each persons meal was great. The men working brought every tray to the tables where people were sitting. They were so attentive and checked while we were eating making sure everyone was all set. They stayed for hours cooking, even reheating food as people came. At the end, they even took the trash away! My friends and family could not say enough good things about the food. Saying they made my party fantastic is an understatement. I highly recommend using them if you have a special occasion made even more special! Thank you, lobster express!

I discovered Lobster Express when I was in Hull for a few days last week, and I’m really happy that I did. It is a take-out place, and when I was there, most people just ate in their cars, but there is a picnic table outside. Service was excellent, prices were reasonable, and my fish tacos and onion rings were very hot and fresh. I really enjoyed both. I look forward to returning this summer for a lobster roll and/or for more fish tacos.

An absolute gem! I came here on a warm spring weekend and was in the mood for a lobster roll. Lobster Express did not disappoint. The Naked Lobster roll was simply delicious! Big hunks of perfectly cooked lobster with enough just enough butter! Mmmmmm! Service was extremely friendly as well. A must go if your in the area!

The very best seafood. Nice new clean and crisp Fish Market. Helpful friendly young lady suggested, cut, weighted. I visit often for the freshest caught choices of Atlantic Salmon, Maryland Haddock, Cape Cod Scallops. Open till 8 pm.

I had a groupon for this place, for a lobster meal for 4 people. on the groupon it said you had to make a reservation so we thought it was an eat-in place. When we got there it wasn’t. They do have some crates and chairs in front of the establishment for outdoor eating but the weather was too cold to sit outside. No big deal. Completely overlooked by us and we should have checked it out more carefully. they were close to closing or maybe a lot of people have ordered today because they didn’t have enough corn. The guy there offered us a plate of lobster mac and cheese in lieu of a few corn missing, at no extra cost. i thought that was very thoughtful of them and generous. When we got back to my friend’s place we only needed to heat up the mac ‘n cheese. everything was good. There was a bit of sand in the steamers but i suppose that’s somewhat expected. The lobster were good size. they were only steamed but i like it steamed :) We all did. The potatoes were steamed with salt and pepper sprinkled on top. Not very tasty but it was fine. It was a really good deal and would return next year :) Maybe this time we can plan better, go on a warm day and sit outside.

I love this establishment, always fresh product and hardworking staff. They’re very helpful and polite; nothing like some one who is an expert on seafood serving you the freshest seafood around. Have never had a meal here that I didn’t enjoy to the fullest. Highly recommended!

Came here last weekend for sword fish and shrimp and fries . Sword fish was good. It was my first sword fish. Mako shark taste almost the same. Shrimp this time didn’t taste so Juicy, tasted like frozen shrimp? Or small ones but still some what good. Fries reminded me of Johnny Rockets.

We were just passing through, from Oregon and looked for seafood on Unilocal.I was a little wary as there were not many reviews. The food here is great! Amazing clams and great lobster bisque. Home made onion rings. Not much for seating. But the food is wonderful, great quality. I grew up in New England and know quality seafood.

Came across this place randomly. My mom and I were going to go to Wahlburgers, but it was packed. She decided to drive down to Nantasket, and eat at the first restaurant we could find. It was busy for a Sunday night, an hour before closing. The people working were really nice, and the service was great! It’s has a fresh seafood market on one side, and prepared food for you to order on the other side. A lot of people were coming in and out for both, and the wait for the food can take a while. I think I waited around 20 – 30 minutes. My mom got the Lobster roll, and I got the New England fish tacos. We wanted to get a small plate of clam strips but they were out. While waiting they gave out samples of fried clam bellies, and those were delicious. It made me want to order a plate. The tacos were good, I usually don’t like fish tacos, but I liked those. My mom’s lobster roll was delicious. She got a small one, but it was packed. Worth the $ 12.99.

Was in the area for a wedding and stopped here for some lobster goodness. As the name implies, it’s not a sit down kind a joint, rather you order and find one of two small round tables outside our eat in your car like I did. No problem with that. Got the lobster bisque and a naked lobster roll. The bisque said it was a new meaty recipe but to me it wasn’t very meaty. It was good, just not meaty. The lobster roll on the other hand was insane. I’ve never seen that big of a chunk of meat on a roll, usually it’s chopped up but here, they make it Damn clear you got a lobster roll. And the lobster is excellently cooked and seasoned with the right amount of butteriness. A most satisfying meal!

Came here for the prepared food, so I can’t speak much to the fresh seafood market. However, they did bring out an 18 pound lobster that was almost as big as me and let me take a picture with it! The lobster rolls were superb and fairly priced(the small one was plenty for me, as it comes with a side). The onion rings were also fantastic, not too breaded. The only thing wrong was that the clam strips were a little too breaded, but still good! Will be back next time I’m in Hull!

So we have visited the place 3 times now. Twice for the fried platters avg once for cooked lobster to go. The food is very good and plentiful. Service has been good with the exception of a young lady that had a bad snobby attitude.

Best fish market. Thanks for Unilocalers and we found this place during our trip in hull. We got one lobster which was 1.48 lbs. It was only 14 bucks. They also cooked it for us for no extra charge. The lobster was so good and I would definitely go back when I visit hull again. They also have HUGE lobsters selling there but if your willing to spend 100 then it’s all yours. Massive… The guy also let’s you take a pic if you don’t want to buy it.
