This restaurant was very dirty. And very pricey for the food that tasted like freezer. :(

This is the BEST and CLEANEST diner in Hugo AND in Oklahoma, and anywhere i’ve ever been as far as quality goes. I noticed the cooks even wear hair nets, so that means no worries about hair in your food! You never see hair nets used in restaurants any more. The waitresses and cooks take special orders to your specifications, and if you’re on a diet, it’s still Mexican food! This place is awesome and I highly recommend. I will definitely go back and get their chili rellenos! Don’t pass this one up. Oh, if you get the Very Spicy Shrimp(their Jumbo Shrimp is HUGE) take heed, they mean it, No lies there, cuz your mouth will burn and don’t blame them, because they warn you on the menu. They follow through with your order. ENJOY! Also, Chicken salad is so big, you can’t finish it.

Tried to find this spot to no avail. Found the address, but business was closed. I think the address is wrong. Try 2401 East Jackson Street. Found the new address post-trip.

We drove into Hugo to do some DOT work on local bridges. We are northerners and have traveled extensively over the past three decades in this line of work. How awesome to stop in a Mexican restaurant and be treated like old friends. The waitresses both beautiful and dutiful brought us great tasting authentic cuisine and cold, cold, cervesa. Everything felt right. There was a yard sale going on outside on the patio. Music was playing… Some happy Latino tune, everyone was smiling, children with their parents laughing, a romantic couple looking at each other like lovers do… And my wife and I painting another wonderful mindscape of the perfect ending to a long, long, day. Gracias Dos Amigos.
