It seems like most people write negative results that are not happy. To bad all people do not take the time and write a review when all is OK. I had my mother in this hospital and also a friend in the same time. Both were treated with excellent care. My friend had a triple bypass open heart surgery, went home in a few days. My mother had a problem breathing and also was very well cared for. Her life was saved as her thought completely closed up. She got a trake that saved her life. The only thing they can improve is communications with their doctors. I asked 7-‘10 time to be contacted by a doctor. He called once, left a message as he could not reach me and never called again. Besides this there is nothing wrong with this hospital. Usually people that are unsatisfied will write a review, if all would they would surly receive 4.5 stars

My grandma had to come here and I went to visit. Her nurse was very sweet. And my grandmother looked cozy. The only problem was the(CCU) check in. the phone was ringing off the hook and nobody bothered to answer it. Also there was no privacy for some of the patients. I would go back.(Just in case) but keep my eyes peeled.

My mother had a mild heart attach and landed in Bayonet Point. She went from ER to Cardiac Surgical Unit(ICU) to regular inpatient for catheterization over the period of a week. Overall nurses were great. Very helpful and informative though you could tell they are very busy and under stress. They care about the important(medical/wellness) concerns of their patients but don’t always have time for minor concerns/whining from some of the patients. I cannot be as positive about the hospital Drs and several specialists monitoring my mother’s multiple health problems. Though polite, they were always in a rush to leave and unwilling or unable to answer questions about negative changes in my mother’s health and why they were pushing through procedures. They constantly said we needed to talk to another specialist — what a classic round around. Looking at their less than good reputation in cardiology(Tampa papers and NY Times articles about recent investigations of for-profit parent company and Bayonet Point for inappropriate catheterizations) I got a strong sense that even though my 80 yo mother had a cold, was weak and had blood thinning issues, they were pushing through procedures with an eye to the bottom line. They were not very helpful and their persistence in scheduling procedures(getting my mother to sign consent forms when she is half asleep late at night and no family members are there) does not create a sense of openness or trust. Tampa General might be a better choice.

I have been a patient in this hospital 3 times. Each time I was treated superbly and with the best care. I recently went in for cardiac catheterization done by Dr. K. Ramireddy. He and the entire staff, from pre-op to recovery did a great job! If you need anything done that involves your heart to your circulatory system, this is the best in Florida!!! Thanks for your great work!
