NTB National Tire and Battery

Let me begin by saying I have been a in medical sales for years. I have been through more sales training sessions than I care to remember. I also understand quotas and upselling very well. The managers NTB have me beat however. Unfortunately, they are swindling consumers on a daily basis. My wife went in because her brakes clearly needed replaced. When the manager came out to speak with her, he led off with a quote of ma’am how much do you really like this vehicle. He was clearly trying to take advantage of my wife who knew nothing about car mechanics. He proceeded to tell her that she needed nearly $ 3000 worth of work. Including brakes, rotors and calipers on all of my tires. I got on the phone and explain that I had all of this done about 24 months ago at the same location. Floundering a bit, he told me that all Toyota Sequoia’s had this issue. In fact, he explained that every couple years was normal. That is total BS!!! On the advice of a friend, I took at next-​door to an independent mecanic shop call Koehlers. These were true gentleman. The shop is old-​school, but they are very fair and reasonable. Instead of thousands of dollars, I paid them about $ 400 for a rotor and brake pads on all of my breaks. Additionally, they did a few other minor things for free. Do yourself a favor and avoid NTB at all cost. In speaking with one of the managers a few months back, he explained that they were on a quota System at all of the stores. And guess what, Hudson leads the pack in the region. Surprise surprise.

I ended up here after having a horrible experience at the Lakewood NTB. The Hudson NTB was honest, fair, quick, clean, and professional. Although the price for an oil change was a little on the high side, I left feeling happy with NTB. They also quoted tires at a price better than what I found anywhere else, even on
. Granted there was a discount promotion at the time; however, the promotion wasn’t posted anywhere. The salesman just knew and he offered me the promotional discount. This told me that they are looking out for the customer. I was very pleased with the Hudson NTB location.
