The map and address for this restaurant do not reflect its actual location. It is about 0.4 miles further west, on the north side of Route 52. Also, It is out of business. There is an «Available» sign in the window, although the restaurant name is still above the door. You may note that the newest review is nearly 3 years old, so who knows how long they’ve been gone? Too bad, there are not enough good German restaurants in this area!

This place consistently has excellent German food-far better than the German restaurant farther south on 19. Wiener schnitzel, pork shank, champignon schnitzel, spaetzel all are as good as it gets. Good beer selection and friendly staff make for a laid back pleasant experience.

Traditional Bavarian cuisine with a large authentic German beer selection. Nothing trendy or updated about this place. A lil smokey from the chef, but very cool to have this ethnic food available in the hinterlands.

The food here is surprisingly better than the German restaurant on US-19 near Hudson. I had the sauerbraten with red cabbage and spaetzle. The goulash was tasty, but different than what I had expected. I’m used to it being a bit thicker and with more spices than this. Still very tasty, though. I’ll definitely be back here again to try the rest of their dishes.

It’s like you are in Germany, good food as I tasted in Germany and a selection of german beers. The wurst platter was awesome and the spatzle is like you are in bavaria. The family is from Germany and they will gladly make you feel at home. Come back often the try all the German classics.
