Lisanne made our day. I had reward points and she went above and beyond to help me use them. She exudes what customer service should be. Even though i was stressed and upset that the cashier did not know how to access my points without a pin, Lisanne really stepped up. I like shopping there because it is not as crowded and i can usually find what i need and the reward points always help.

Classic. Old school. Slower pace but kind of quaint. Some interesting items and seasonal fare tucked here and there. Not everything is priced, ie. missing price tags. It’s a low key alternative to Wally World. There’s a Nathan’s. fries. fried dough.

Yesterday I forgot to use my reward points due to everyone was so rude, I guess they were all busy getting the ad set up. Called this morning they said I had to come in with my receipt. Roseanna helped me at CS desk and was extremely nice and helped me in every way she could, helping other customers in between. What an awesome and friendly experience. Thank you again Roseanna.

Unilocal should create a time travel category just for this store. Walking in, I felt a gust of wind and smelled that Kmart smell. It has been six years since I previously walked into a Kmart, but it was all too familiar. Once inside, I knew I just stepped into the 90s. Humming lights, those huge round air vents, and some band nobody has heard of was playing over the speakers. Everything in here feels… old. Aisles are so tight, sparse selection and not to mention high prices. If you’re hungry, there is a Nathan’s hot dog counter/café, complete with a quater-full lemonade machine wirring away, workers sweeping nonexistent messes, and one person eating cheese fries all by themselves. Be sure to look at the faded menu boards to see if your meal comes with a cup with the 1990 Pepsi logo. On the positive side, the checkout employees were friendly. Unless you’re looking for Halloween costumes(like we were, and I found a Roman king costume for our Halloween wine party), go to Walmart next door.

Slower and less busy than Wal-Mart. Nathan’s hot dog inside. Cheese fries were OK. Got a futon here and everyone was friendly. It isn’t the most modern store and looks the same as other stores, but I like this type of feel. It is a certain comfort level and the atmosphere always is positive.

How in the world has this time capsule survived? I walked into this store just before Christmas looking for a school item for my son. The place looks exactly like it did when I used to go with my mom as a child! Even the strange round air vents are still there! Not only is the store extremely dated, but the merchandise looks old too. Maybe it’s just the way it is organized and displayed. With a glimmering new Walmart a stones throw away I can’t see this store making it.
