Found a few decent finds for great prices. When I tried to check out, they told me the prices are incorrect and someone must have labeled them wrong and refused to give them to me for the prices marked. I tried to get a 3 piece organizer and they told me each piece was sold separately. Even though there was strong around the whole thing with one single price. When the manager came down she did not even talked to me. Just simply told the employee it did not matter. That is not the price. It was not my fault that their employees made a mistake. If multiple items are all marked as one price. They should honor that. Left without buying anything. Was too frustrating.

I enjoy both parts of the store: The Buy the Pound part is a great place to find inexpensive items at dirt cheap prices. It really is like finding treasure. As long as you don’t have a preset idea about what you’ll find, you’ll be fine. The Retail side of the store is the largest in the State. It’s always well-organized and clean. I like the selection of books they have there, and the other items are great as well. The staff always has been friendly and helpful. The only minor complaints I have is how a select few people will crowd around the shoe cart when it comes out and throw all the shoes in their carts before anyone else gets a chance. They sort out the shoes in another area and then bring the crumbs back to the shoe cart. I think efforts should be taken that everyone gets a fair chance at looking at the shoes. I have found excellent books in the buy the pound places… it’s suprising what you’ll find.

Let me first say that the buy the pound section should be fun – it’s a true scavenger hunt digging through the bins. There are bins with mixed household goods such as small appliances and décor items, others with just books, others with just shoes, and still others with a mix of clothing and linens. And, while some it is not great, there were some very good pieces mixed in. We found a brand new, perfect suede jacket and skirt, some excellent made in Portugal bedding, and a few nice tops. The problem for me is the frenzy that happens as each new bin is wheeled out and the lack of security to at least try and let everyone have a chance. The day we were at the store, there were three guys who would angle their carts to block access to the newly arrived bins and literally elbow others out of the way. It was simply impossible to get anywhere near the bins until after they’d already scooped up anything of value. And, in the frenzy I saw several instances of people getting hurt such as cuts from broken glass; I saw one of the guys pick a large sewing machine out of the bin and very nearly hit a women in the face with it as he pulled it up over her head. Also, I had a few things stolen from my cart when my back was turned. I realize it’s first come, first served, but the atmosphere wasn’t fun; it was unpleasant and at times just a bit scary. Please post some signs reminding others to show some manners and step in when it gets too intense.

Goodwill Industries operates this large thrift retail store, «buy the pound» outlet store and donation center, which just opened up in the former Super Stop & Shop building at the corner of NH3A and Wason Rd. This Goodwill Store is divided into two discount stores in the same building with the traditional retail thrift store to the right side and the«buy the pound» store to the left side. Thrift retail store: Similar to other Goodwill Stores, this location offers plenty of new and used goods including apparel for women, men, and children, footwear, toys, games, music, movies, video games, books, accessories, home décor, housewares, electronics, furniture, craft kits, and much more, at BARGAINPRICES! Most of the donated goods sold in this retail store are of decent quality and not trashy. There are plenty of bargains here, most shirts $ 5 and up and two piece suits $ 10 and up. There were $ 3 jeans in front of the store. Most of the used books, music, and movies are $ 1-$ 3 with yellow, blue, & gray tags. Most used CDs were only $ 2 each including some of my favorite pop artists. The books were sort of organized by fiction, non-fiction, childrens books, and cookbooks, so the book titles and subjects were mish-mashed. Buy the Pound Outlet Store: Located next door to the retail store. This side of the store is like going on a big scavenger hunt at an «indoor landfill» for lots of «treasures»(lots of bargains and«junk goods» in a nice way). There are plenty of big blue wheeled bins filled with what looked sort of looks like a big trash piles of random stuff(books, old toys, turntable, radios, tennis racket, records, CDs, VHS movies, photo books, old clothes, etc). The books they had in the big bins were in decent condition, most likely what could not sell in the retail store. Also, a pile of someone’s personal photographs were in the mix too. Grab a shopping cart and fill it up! The pricing of this«buy the pound» experience is as follows: Textiles: $ 0.99/lb Electronics(corded items): 10 – 19.95 lbs($ 1.99/item), 20 – 29.95 lbs($ 2.99/item), 30 – 39.95 lbs($ 3.99/item), 40 – 50 lbs($ 4.99/item), some items priced as marked Half cart of books(20 – 40): $ 4.99 Full cart of books(40+ to rim): $ 9.99 Books & Records: $ 0.25 each All other table items: $ 0.99/lb Suitcases and totes(w/or w/o lids): $ 1.99 each Furniture: Priced as marked, some wooden items were $ 9.99 Glass ware: $ 0.05 each When I was shopping here, all you could hear was a lot of «clunking» as shoppers were rummaging through the many bins on the sales floor. You need to see this place for yourself! — — — — – Anyways, I also enjoy shopping at other Goodwill stores to find more great bargains because I never know what I’m going to find. That’s the fun part of shopping at Goodwill!
