Comcast Service Center

Folks seem a bit hard on the team here. I came in to cancel my account (Verizon’s cable isn’t as good, but they were $ 75/​month cheaper), and the woman who helped me couldn’t have been nicer. I was in and out in approximately five min. Try to separate the counter side customer service piece (good) from what Comcast corporate rolls out as plans/​equipment.

I am hard pressed to even give Comcast a single star. The customer service is non-​existant… I just called twice, between 6:15 and 6:30 and both times I was put on hold, only to be told «I’m sorry. We can’t complete that request. You can go to our website … or call back at a later time» The website advertises that they are open until 9:00. WTF

I’ve been stuck with xfinity wifi service for the last month, and find it a reminder of the dialup days. I have not had as slow a connection in years. For what you get, the price is insanely high. If this is supposed to make me want to have xfinity in my house, it hasn’t worked.

Don’t believe the office hours on Unilocal and elsewhere. My mistake, drove cross town last night to get a wall power supply replaced in vain. Serves me right not to call first. Hudson MA but I’ll bet an issue for many/​all local offices posted here. This is a Unilocal/​google issue, not a comcast issue.

Comcast is terrible. First of all, they provide us with the oldest equipment they have. Cable box was at least 15 years old and original router was not wireless. We then have to pay SO much more money to receive a wireless router that happens to suck. When I sit next to the router, my wireless internet goes in and out.
In addition, we upgraded to an HD/​DVR cable box. I picked it up from the office myself so I wouldn’t have to pay for a technician to plug it in or pay for them to mail it and wait 10 business days. As soon as I plugged it in it was clear the HD service was not working. The sound was bizarre, so inconsistent. The background music would go in and out, sometimes really loud (when I’m on 6 of 40 on my sound system volume) and sometimes really quiet. The voices were inaudible and the sound effects were so loud they hurt our ears!
So I contacted Comcast to resolve the issue the next day. The respresentative determined that she could not help me and it was a faulty box (her words). My solution was then to pay $ 50 to have a technician come out to fix the box or pay $ 15 and wait 10 business days for them to mail me a new box. In addition, while I am waiting for the service to be fixed, I will not be reimbursed for the HD service I am currently paying for but not receiving. I told her I refused to pay any money to fix something that is not my fault and she told me that once the technician provides an assessment (that I pay for) they will then determine if I qualify for «discounts.» Not even a full reimbursement.
So I said I would be leaving Comcast, fully expecting their promised 30-​day money back guarantee and would be switching to Verizon in hopes of receiving some actual service and not being robbed.

The worst online and phone service and worst deals. I have a Premium Internet connection (20 Mbps) + basic cable and i am paying 72 $ per month. I saw an online offer that was names «Blast Plus» for 59.99 $ that has 50 Mbps internet (29.99 $)+ Digital Economy TV (29.99 $) channel and i selected that offer and tried to updrage my conencton. Then a chat live representative said this is not available in your area and said the same offer will cost you 89.99 $ per month.
When i asked if i can only upgrade my Internet, the representative said that is the only offer avaialble in your area. So, what it means i s New England customers should just take what they say. Hardly any offers here. My friends have FIOS connection and they have way better deals.
Comcast really S***KS in new England area. They are just behinf the money. Offering higher packages when they know what the calling customers need is.
The only reason i had to take comcast is because my community offers only comcast cable + internet.
I would say anyone in New England area… don’t even think about taking a comcast connection. The customer support just wanna send you with higher package deals… They don’t even listen to what you want and how much you want to spend… i asked for just higher internet speed and they started talking about their 139 $ per month Triple play deals…
