We went for mothers day. Fun, inexpensive, and free parking. Loved the option to buy homemade jams.

This was my first time at Bob’s Blueberry Farm. It was a little hard to find, as there are two addresses where they have the fields, but we found it. I would call them before you go. Everyone was very friendly, the blueberries were delicious and well maintained. I am planning to go back to pick blackberries and peaches. They also have honey, delicious tomatoes, and a few other items for sale.

So I have been looking for some low cost, fun things to do lately that are outside of my normal eating out and dealing with my clients. My Mom is in town, so I thought, let’s try something different, cheap and possibly fun. Something crossed my mind about u-pick farms in Fl, since I am recently obsessed with Fl grown products. After searching several farms, checking out pesticide practices, chemical used, water conservation and responsible farming practices, I ran across Bob’s Blueberry Farm. This place is great. They are easy to find, the farmers are very nice, they give you gathering buckets, plastic bags to take home, education on how to store and use the berries when you get home and basically free range of their farm. Even though we went there to pick blueberries, they let us have at the soon to be blackberry crop(which isn’t quite ready for the public yet) and I spotted a sweet peach that I munched on during the whole picking time. The farmer said«eat as much as you want, just make sure some of it gets back into the bucket». :) I probably ate 30 blueberries off the vines, plus my one peach and 9 blackberries, and still brought home 4lbs of blueberries! The prices are just silly, $ 3/lb for off the vine blueberries. I mean how much did you just spend at Publix for that imported ¼ lb??? If you can get out here, do it! They have rotating u-picks all year long, treat yourself to some TRUEFLORIDA produce. Pick it yourself!
