We moved here several months ago and we are so pleased with Beacon Woods East. The community center and recreation center are outstanding. Recently, I did notice what appeared to be some vadelism at the basketball courts but all in all we love it here and are very happy to see that there are deed restrictions to prevent people from devaluating the properties because of commercial vehicle usage (though we did notice some commerical vehicles with signs on them in driveways on a regualr basis). Maybe they need to step up enforcement of the deed restrictions. I believe it was a house on Shadway Street with trucks and cars parked all over the place. Don’t know how they are getting away with it.

After renting a great little house for a week I thought this place was great. No complaints at all and everyone we ran into was very polite. Great pool and well kept in general. Would recommend.

The Beacon Woods community has a small park adjacent to their clubhouse and pool. Even though it was members only, we stopped in to let my boy burn off some steam. There is a tiny playground with nearby outdoor basketball and racquetball courts. There are picnic tables and benches as well as some bouncing ride on toys for kids. The courts and playground seemed to be in a bit a disrepair. One of the baby swings was broken, the big kid swings looked suspicious with duct tape around the chains and the hoops were missing nets.
