My girlfriend and I wanted a nice bar and grill to go splurge for one of our college friday nights. Barkers has a very nice atmostphere, between the chefs quickly and accurately doing their work, locals, newcomers, and other hungry stomachs coming in to have the delicious and fampus barker fries, this place is excellent for trying new flavors. The staff is very willing to help, at the same time very fast. We waited for 15 mins on a very busy friday night. Overall an excellent place to come back to.

I always have a great time at Barkers. You can sit at the bar and have a beer and watch the cooks, cook your food in the open kitchen. They only serve fresh food, never frozen. Their chicken wings are to die for. You have to have the fresh hand-​cut cut french fries with your sandwich. I always get the root beer on tap. I would recommend Barkers to anyone who wants really good food.

We stopped in here for a bite to eat and beer on a Friday night. I had not been here before but the person I was with had. When I picked it they were more than happy to go again. Great spot! Small bar and grill. Big menu, good beers and very friendly people working.
When I was there they had a grilled meatloaf special that was outstanding! Their fries are great, the food is seasoned and you will not walk away from here hungry!
We sat at the bar and it was great watching them cooking and talking with the people working there. Everyone was friendly and having fun. The place was hopping. Busy. But that didn’t seem to slow anyone down.
I will be back here. My kind of place, love how they do things, the food was delicious, beers were cold, service was great and friendly.

Rather disappointed… ordered marinated chicken breast sandwich… first bun was horrible… Picked it off… ate chicken… no flavor. where was the marinate… Not worth the money at all… on the plus side .Cole slaw was pretty good… few too many carrots but nice flavor. Also the fries my bf had were good too.

Loved this place. We stopped here on our way back to the cities from Willow River. When we walked in, we heard the host saying it was a 20 – 30 minute wait, so we sat at the bar. The bartender was really friendly and served us right away. We had a couple beers (great selection) and ordered burgers. The burgers were amazing. We both work in the restaurant industry and were really impressed. The hand cut fries were also awesome. The atmosphere in this place is really great. The kitchen is right next to the bar, so you can see all the food being made on the grills. It was fun to watch the cooks while we waited for our food. I would definitely come back here!

First impression is that this place is your local, divey bar and grill, but it’s so much more! We had great service and great food at Barkers in downtown Hudson. We were seated on the porch, which doesn’t have much of a view, but was comfortable even on a hot day. We started with the Green Chile Queso. It was smoky and a little spicy and mostly delicious. The chips were straight out of the fryer! We also mowed down a pastrami Reuben. That was also perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients. The beer selection was just enough to be happy, but not so many that it’s overwhelming. We ordered Spotted Cow, because «when in Rome», but then we realized they had Todd the Axe Man from Surly, and we were pleasantly surprised and ordered one of those as well. Yum!

Delicious spicy wings and fried cheese. Sirlion is tender and juicy. The fried carrot sides does not taste that good and I dont like the greezy fries. The manager is very nice and generous asking diners around. I will give 5 star for the manager, 3 star for the kitche delay and 4 star for the waiter.

This is easily my favorite place to eat in Hudson and the main reason why is the atmosphere. Specifically I appreciate that when you walk in the door you are typically greeted by multiple people, and when you leave you are thanked by multiple people. It seems simple, but in a town with lots of options for restaurants and bars, the effort to thank you for your business is appreciated. Aside from that, they also have good food. I like their burgers (be adventurous and try some of the non beef burgers) and the salads and chicken sandwiches have always been good too. I love their bloody mary’s and they have a good beer selection. As another reviewer said they have free popcorn, but the cheese curds are absolutely worth the splurge!

In an effort to keeping it local and irritated by my two old standby’s in town I decided to give barkers a try again — considering the food was decent last time and we enjoyed ourselves. I must remove a star because Service sucked. We were paced in a table in the very back of the building and apparently this is the place to go if you have little kids. WE are empty nesters and do not want to dine with families. It is crowded and loud and food was just average. Prices are average. I think they are a solid three star…

Our recent to go order got messed up, and they still get five stars from me. I’m kind of stingy with my fives, but this place earns it every single time.
So we ordered a few things, one of which was the Southwest Garden Burger. (Which is amazing by the way.) Somebody messed up and made it with meat instead of a veggie patty. I called, and with lightning speed, they had a new order to my house (and they don’t even deliver) in time for me to enjoy my meal with the rest of my party. She even refused to take a few bucks for gas.
The management here just seems to do everything right. Barkers makes me happy.

Great place for lunch or dinner. I’ve eaten here twice in the last month: a great lunch date with my hubby, and a big family get-​together recently for dinner.
Our server for lunch was great. I wish I remembered his name, because he was funny and knowledgeable, with just the right amount of attentiveness. Tuscan Ahi Tuna Sandwich = delicious! Great salad choices, too.
But, of course, most of you come here for the burgers and they are indeed — awesome!
For dinner, there were 7 of us, so I called ahead to ask if I could reserve a table in about a 75 minutes; they said yes! We arrived, the table was ready, and we were served our waters immediately. Per our request, they also brought the kids’ meals out ahead of the rest when they were ready, which made for a much more pleasant meal.

Coming here again a second time. Lat time i read here was about the months ago and i had to come back. Fries are awesome and i got a lamb wrap. Delicious and the staff go out of the way to make you happy.
Ask about their house sauces. I got a peanut Chipotle and is great with the fries

We stop here about once a month, almost always for wings. Food and service never disappoint. Great place to stop before or after the movie or whatever.
