I agree that this company is a joke. The lot I park in decided to place a large construction dumpster next to my car. When I saw my vehicle, there was a huge dent and scrape along the side where the dumpster was. I called Prompt Parking, because they rented me the space, and told them about the situation, and they said, and I quote, «So, why are you calling us?» They argue that I had signed an indemnity agreement so they are not responsible. Nothing in the agreement said the lot owners can engage in deliberate action that causes damage to your vehicle. They said they would have management call me back. Nothing. Had to call them 2 more times before they told me, and again I quote, «we only take payments, we have nothing to do with the lot.» They said I would have to find and deal with the owners of the lot myself. I don’t mind the ineptitude as much as I mind the callousness when you have a problem with the product they sold you. «So, why are you calling us?» It’s because I pay you every month, you idiot.

This company is a joke. They«manage» the parking lot behind my apartment building in East Orange. They charge $ 50 and won’t let you pay it via credit/debit card over the phone unless you pay a $ 5 processing fee. They won’t accept a personal check through the mail, only a money order. They do not send billing statements either. If you call them during business hours to complain that someone is parked in your spot they tell you to call the police department and then after the police ticket the offending vehicle you have to call the towing company yourself. Parking enforcement is not a priority for the police department so you will be waiting a while. Need something after hours or the weekend? Forget it.
