I use to love this Panera, however the last few times I have ordered togo from them their portions have gotten much smaller! The salad was in a tiny box only half filled, which is annoying when you are paying for a full salad.

Service was friendly, food was what you’d expect. I have to only give 3 stars because the place was rather dirty. Tables were messy, silverware had to be replaced twice for being dirty.

This spot never fails to disappoint. Whether you are on a diet or you want to stuff your face with bread, this place is the place to go. It even has gluten free options for all the people with«gluten sensitivity»

Too expensive and the manager with the blonde hair should be fired. My mom went to pay with $ 100 bill and the manager made a big deal that the machine was not accepting it and made us seem like criminals trying to pay with fake money. We paid with another form of payment and proceeded to get our food. My mom got a soup and sandwich and went back up for sprinkled cheese. The manager was telling another employee about the«fake $ 100 bill» and my mom was standing right there. She then tells my mom«I’ll do it this time, but next time you need to tell them upfront so they can charge you extra». The menu does not even list«extra sprinkled cheese» so I would’ve loved to see what they are would’ve charged us. As for the nasty manager, if you don’t like working in food service, there are plenty of other jobs out there or community colleges to go to for a brighter future.

I’m slightly confused on the bad reviews for Panera, this one in particular. I’ve been going to the Panera in Howell for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. The only aggravation I experienced was the day they stopped making the ham and swiss breakfast soufflé, it’s absolutely delicious, and I was NOT a happy camper when it was removed from the menu. But then to my surprise it was brought back! The servers seem nice and courteous, the food is pretty good. I don’t really feel the prices are that bad, they are a little more than other establishments but not overboard. I love the French Onion soup and the panini’s. The only gripe I have is with the rewards program. It’s ok. You get free items every 6 or 7 visits, but why don’t I get a free soufflé? I go to Panera for breakfast on my way to work a couple times a week and I always get the ham and swiss soufflé, yet every reward I get is a bagel! I don’t buy bagels so why give me one as a reward? And it’s just one after the other. At one point I think I had about 3 or 4 free bagels stacked up and they just expired because I do not want bagels! If you see that I am a regular and I purchase the same thing every time I come in, then I should receive that item as a reward once in a while, not something I do not eat over and over. This costs a star for me. I wish they would fix this aspect of the rewards program. Mmm, i’m getting hungry just thinking about those soufflé’s…

One word for this location… disgusting! So dirty. The high chairs look liked they never have been cleaned ever. Worst part my mom found a freaking bone in her chicken sandwhich!

my husband ordered a super egg sandwich platter and I ordered chili in a bread bowl. mine was ok but my husband literally got half of a sandwich on a giant plate. Something missing? he said to them. «Nope I don’t think so» and it cost us a grand total of $ 17.00 Can you say RIPOFF!!! Won’t be going back there anytime soon.

Very good food and good service! They made an item that they no longer carried on their menu which most places will not do. Every coffee pot was running empty and I could not get a full cup and they refunded my money, made a new pot and have me a larger cup!

Had special, cup of creamy tomato soup, not enuff chunks of tomato for me. Also had half a salad, not enuff veggies to feed a rabbit, so good thing it was all just an appetizer before I ate more food later. And I really could have passed on the half roll they gave me, too hard to chew unless I dunked it in the soup!!!

I was really kind of surprised to see such low reviews to this place. Albeit, this was my first check-in, but I have been here a million times and never encountered a problem with the food or service. It is most definitely in one of the busiest strip malls in town. So, with that, you are going to have mistakes made and maybe some under-staffing. However, you know before you walk in the door where you are and how much you are paying for a sandwich and soup, so for people to review based on their corporate-decided prices, to me, is not fair. As I said, I have been here lots of times and never had a bad experience. The food is good, it’s quick to come out, even on the busiest afternoons,(was there during a lunch rush today, and it took less than 10 minutes for our food), and while the staff does look a bit overworked, they have never been rude or unprofessional. It’s a staple establishment to go to, and not a bad one at that!

I only gave it a 2 because their whole grain bread is very good. They make nasty sandwiches that are overpriced. Everything but the bread comes prepared, nothing fresh. Yuck!!!

While most of the time I usually like Panera, this one I don’t usually go to. I found the soup to be a lot saltier than the others. The salad was ok but just a notch below the Freehold one. My wife said basically the same thing about her food. Other than that, the place is a typical Panera. Service here might be a little better than Freehold. Usual group of people who don’t seem to have internet connections at home all hovered over their tables with their laptops and coffee!

I love Panera Bread. The employees here are great, the food is great, and the environment is great.

The food is good here, but the to go service leaves a lot to be desired. They tend to leave a lot of things out and often mess up sandwich orders. If you eat in, service is fine, but getting it to go is a crapshoot!

I love Panera… but the last time I was at the Howell location I was a little disappointed. I always go for the combo… usually salad and soup w/bread bowl. but this time I went for the salad and the mac&cheese combo. I’ve had the mac&cheese before and its really delicious. but this time it wasn’t that warm and kinda was just like a blob of mac&cheese. It may have been because I went on an off hour of the day. i dunnooo… This little set back will not change my opinion of Panera… and I will definitely go back to this one. also, the cinnamon crunch bagels and choc chip cookies are ridiculous. so tasty!
