Over priced. A bit pretentious. They need to get over themselves. They sell burgers and fries. Somehow they fucked up the fries… Go to Moes or Cleary’s. PS. Drinks were totally overpriced as well. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Just lame…

I went here because of the new owners. Food was ok. It’s trying to be a gastropub. I feel like with Diamonds and now this place the only reason it gets good reviews is because other people don’t know any better. The food is prepared well but it doesn’t go beyond that. It’s mediocre at best and it tries too hard. The waitress complained about not being able to carry a tray anymore. Give them a tray Adam, it’s not impressing me enough to want to come back for a mediocre $ 12 burger that was well done when I asked for medium. Overall, it’s very pricey for what you’re getting. What you’re getting is decent food but it’s not worth the prices. I’m disappointed that they got rid of the ribs. They did a nice job with revamp inside. I won’t be back though. $ 55 for a sloppy joe, a burger and fish & chips is robbery, especially when there’s a ballet studio above your head pounding on the floor.

A decent place to eat with a nice bar atmosphere. None of the food will blow you away but it’s a great place to grab a beer and hang out. I am expecting great things from the new owner so I hope you’re listening Adam!

Saw the new cool lights in the dining area, so we stopped in to check it out… New owners, completely redone menu(YAY), 20+ beers on tap, and craft cocktails! We had the Salmon with Bok Choy-delish! and the braised pulled pork which was also great! There are so many enticing dishes on the menu I’m dying to try, we will be back VERYSOON!

Mr. B’s Rustic Tavern was recently purchased by the owners of Diamonds Steakhouse. My son and I ate at the new Mr. B’s this evening. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my opinion. Before I continue I should say that the burger was«really good». But, I feel very strongly that DOWNTOWNHOWELLDOESNOTNEEDANOTHERMENUFULLOFDEEPFRIEDANDMICROWAVEDBARFOOD. We already have Cleary’s, Moe’s, who makes an «who makes an excellent(not „not really good“) burger», FOG’s Pub, and Block Brewery for bar food. I will admit that the old Mr. B’s had their problems. It seemed as though the food was either really good, or really bad, which was mostly because of an excessive amount of saltiness. However, you could rely on them for items that fell between bar food and what you would consider a «nice» meal. My daughter and I used to love to split a slab of the Jack Daniels ribs. The pot roast and prime rib were also always good. The new Mr. B’s menu does not feature a single wrap, which disappoints my wife, who does eat any read meat. I don’t eat them, but only offering a black bean burger and salads for people who do not eat red meat seem cliché, boring, and uncreative. Yes, I am aware that wraps are also cliché, but at least they’re more creative and tasty than a black bean burger. Yes, the menu includes two fish selections, but they are both deep fried. I don’t always disagree with a short menu, but it has been reduced to 1/3−¼ of what it used to be. With that said, I think it’s also important to mention that $ 52 for 2 burgers, 2 draft beers, 1 pop, and a piece of cake is ridiculous. I don’t think I’ll be back, because I just don’t see the point in selecting this overpriced«me too» restaurant over the tried and true stapes of downtown Howell. If you want to best bar atmosphere go to Cleary’s. If you’re looking for an excellent burger go to Moe’s. If you want really good local brew go to Block. They’re all really good at what they do, and you’ll pay a lot less for the experience.

Decided to checkout the NEW Mr b rustic tavern. Too expensive for salty bar food. This isn’t diamonds. it’s a bar to watch sports. I went to Cleary s n paid alot less for a great meal.
