When I came to Houston I knew I had to try their famous Airport Wendy’s! And boy howdy it did not let me down. I had the spicy Baconator!(So named because it has bacon). Nom nom nom This meal gets one star… A LONESTAR! Just kidding that would send mixed signals. They play great music in this Houston airport Wendy’s too, and while you’re here stuff a few extra napkins in your pocket cuz they’re literally giving them away.

Wait was pretty long but they were trying hard to roll things out. My fries were fresh and crisp. My problem is our order was wrong and I had to walk back to fix it. I ordered the portobello cheeseburger and got another sandwich. I also ordered a regular cheeseburger and got one with two patties. Staff looked pretty young.

Horrible horrible food. Stale fries, long wait, plus an employee in training. Her manager pretty much abandoned her halfway through her training. They did not have any coke because their carbonation machine was screwed up. Took over 20 minutes to get my food and it was awful.

We had a connecting flight. Two hour layover. Breakfast anyone? Too early for sushi or a salad at 7:30 am. Starbucks only sold oatmeal or pastries. Want something hot? Wendy’s got breakfast items. Bought a bacon and egg sandwich on a biscuit. It hit the spot. Washed it down with a Starbucks coffee from Starbucks a few counters down.

Concourse C Wendy’s shares a space with La Salsa and a bagel spot. We were drawn to this area because they conveniently had outlets at every table and of the three, Wendy’s sounded the choice. There were three women at the counter all asking questions about my order. Usually there is one person taking your order. This can be confusing. It was also not a service with a smile place. It was more like hot mess, let’s get this shit out and get outta here. I got the order in to-go fashion in a bag. I think they all come that way. The Baconator was better than what I get at home but, it still had that artificial butter spray or whatever taste. I usually like the taste of dipping fries in a Frosty and although they were both good. They were good separately. Dipping did not go well here for some reason.

About what I would expect from a Wendy’s location. They took care of the line fast enough. Order was ready fairly soon. It tasted like the spicy crispy chicken with Cheese that I am use to getting at other Wendy’s. I was serviced with a smile, and told to have a nice day at the end.

Out of Chili… out of barbecue sauce… And they just ran out of nuggets… Don’t waste your time here.

Who makes coffee with ice cream!!! Wendy’s does! Yuck! Coming straight from the club in Miami at 4am to the airport at 6am– to Houston at 7:30am, I was feeling like crap. So what bright idea did I have??? I decided to go to Wendy’s and get a chicken biscuit(very good) and a vanilla iced coffee. They made the coffee with vanilla ice cream and poured hot coffee over it, then put ice in it. Who the devil eats ice cream at 7:30am!!! I took a few sips and tossed it. * luckily there’s a starbucks a few feet away.

I thought this location was below average. not the best so I give it 2 stars. First they asked me if I was planning to eat there or take out. I choose to dine there but they still gave me a to go bag. I thought it was odd until I looked around and everybody had a to go bag. Why ask that question if everybody’s going to get a bag? Just curious that’s all. Everything tasted way too salty also so that’s never a plus unless you want high blood pressure and miss a flight. It made the food we get served up in the air seem pretty decent now. This place needs to get their act together but I’m sure people will keep coming here. Too many first timers so change isn’t going to happen anytime soon: /!! We’ll just keep on voicing ourselves until then. Added note: I’ve been away for over a month overseas and I was desperate for some real American fast food. LoL. Now I’m done with it again ;) Thanks Wendy !!

If you want service without a smile then this is your place. I know it’s six o’clock in the morning but can a weary traveler get a «hi» at least. A good minute must have passed, as the cashier and I looked at each other, till she finally said, «can I help you». If she doesn’t acknowledge my presence there how else can I know she’s ready to take my order. Also, when I asked for a refill she set cup under the spout and let it over pour for a good minute while she was doing God-knows-what. I think I’ll just buy a bottle of coke at the newsstand next time. Horrible, simply horrible! In case of any confusion, this is the Wendy’s near Gate C42 I’m talking about @ IAH.

Wow this may be the worlds worst Wendy’s. I was craving a Baconator to take another year i won’t need off my life so I ended up wasting not just that year, but also 10 minutes waiting in line for the incompetent staff just to take my order let alone another 4 – 5 minutes to receive my order. There were like eight people there but one guy spent about 10 minutes sorting lids while the line got longer and longer. The people from the BBQ place next door were like, «We have no line!» but to no avail. The cashier seemed mildly competent although there seemed to be no teamwork going on at all. Pathetic staff there… but then again they are working at an airport that shares two names with one of our worst presidents ever.
