I didn’t like this place. It was way out of the way and there aren’t really any other gyms to choose from in the area. Their hours aren’t convenient. They are more focused on making sure they let their employees go to church instead of the customers who want to work out on Sunday mornings. I wish there were a 24 hour fitness around.

W.D. Ley YMCA was home for me during my senior year of high school, and my first year of college. I used to work the front desk and have recently come back to my old stomping grounds as a member! After doing the«work out at home thing» for the last few months I was motivated to get back into the gym. The Y is the place to be early in the morning, because I feel like I have the gym to myself! No one hogging the elliptical and if I want to be brave and try to bench press 100 lbs I can try without witnesses when I drop the bar! ;-) This gym is not your Lifetime Fitness, but I enjoy the fact that I get a «Good Morning» and«Have a Nice Day» every time I come and go. I also enjoy that there are older patrons that like to converse and ask you how you are doing. It makes me feel like home, so I know I will keep going back!

The Day care«Preeschool» it’s not trustful at all at least the 18months to 3 year olds teachers those two teachers are always yelling at the kids I saw one pinch my little girls arms and pull her arms to sit her down cause you could se from the glass doors and wen I told the director she just said I don’t think our teachers would hurt our kids, excuse me I saw her but of course there not going to do anything about it there all friends and they cover each other. There’s definantly something going on in that area of the YMCA the gym itself its great and the staff are great to to bad the other area is something else Horrible experience you can’t trust you’re children with these preschool teachers, these teachers should work in a jail not in a preschool all they know how to do is yell at kids and ignore them wen they are crying I witness so many incidents with different kids and teachers I would go check on my little girl cause I live close and every time I went there something was going on with my girl or another kid but its a clique in there no mater who we would talk to there was never nothing done don’t recommend at all

This YMCA is one of my favorite places to go work out and it’s not because of their equipment or facility, it’s the people(both staff and customers). Everyone here is friendly and don’t mind striking a conversation here and there. Sooner or later you start to see more familiar faces as you become a regular and working out becomes a fun routine. The price is very fair. It varies for each person(i.e student, young adult, family rate), but for the most part they rate competitively with places like Sound Fitness and Fitness Connection. I am not a fan of «re-activation fee’s» though. They recently re-vamped their facility with newer equipments and higher surveillance cameras. They now have a new set of free-weights, a row machine, upper-body cardio machines, and more. All they need now is a Ping Pong Table! Tips: Do not leave anything valuable in your vehicle and park in a bright area during night. There has been issues with security. Even my beat up civic had it’s emblem stolen here.(Who even bothers stealing those anymore? Is it 1995 again?)
