I have loved these swim lessons. I am a first timer(one child, 4 years old), and I was very skeptical at how this would go. I am an elementary school principal, so I am critical of the quality of any programs aimed at children or some type of learning. I was surprised at how professional and knowledgeable both Nicole and Justin are(the two swim instructors I know so far). Nicole is our instructor. She has been incredibly patient, firm, and loving with my son. My son can be moody, and we have had a rough lesson or two where he was very defiant or screamed the whole time. Nicole continues her patience with him, and continues to push his progress. I have already seen tremendous progress in my son’s swimming after just two weeks with Nicole at Waterworks. Because I have a flexible schedule this summer, I have elected to take lessons 5 days per week. Once my son is actually swimming/floating independently(hopefully by the end of the next two weeks), my plan is to purchase an additional lesson package and take my son 2 – 3 times per week through the school year. I am also an LA Fitness member, so this location is convenient for me. I drop my son before or after his lessons at the Kid’s Club, and then I go work out as well. The only drawback is having to walk through the locker rooms to the pool, but due to the structure of the building, I’m not sure that there is a viable solution to having to do this.
