In town on business and stopped here for some steaks with colleagues. Great looking restaurant and great service. I had my favorite cut, the ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly. Sides were good but not special. Star of the show is the meat. Great wine list too. Will be back when in Houston!

This used to be one of our favorite places to go for Friday lunch when we lived in Houston so we were very excited to go back this past weekend. We stopped in Thurs. evening to get a snack and cocktail and make reservations for lunch the next day. After the dismissive attitude we rec’d from the bartender we left and decided we wouldnt go back for lunch… FYI…If you are paying that kind of money to eat/drink somewhere pls. hire ppl that can try to act like they give a sh! t about the customer…(at least fake it)

Best steak house in Houston! I don’t care what some publication says about another steakhouse in the galleria area, this is by far the best on every level. I’ve been here over 50 times and only once have I ever had a truly bad experience; pretty good odds in my book. Not only that, when I emailed the GM the next morning to express my disappointment he reached back out to me the same day and offered to have my wife and I back for a redo at a later time on him. When this meal came around the GM spared no expense and sat us at the best table in the place and comped well over a $ 500 meal; alcohol included. With that being said, this is not a cheap steakhouse. If you want that from the Landry’s chain go to Saltgrass which I also recommend. Back to Vic & Anthonys. For starters the bar is very lively and there is usually always a performer playing the piano or a string cortet playing in the corner. The bartender will make whatever drink you want large and strong; just the way I like them. They also have a very extensive wine menu with bottles on the cheap to the thousands. For appetizers you can’t go wrong with the shrimp cocktail which has an amazing in house made cocktail sauce, the quail which has a slight hint of maple syrup or the fresh oysters on the half shell. Any one of these three; or all of them, are going to not disappoint. For the soups and salad course you can’t go wrong with the lobster bisque. It is finished with brandy and let me tell you, if this were not fine dining I’d pick up the cup it’s served in and drink it down. Everyone I have ever taken here all leaves agreeing that this is the best lobster bisque they have ever had. For steaks I always go with a ribeye. Always cooked to order and the perfect temperature when brought to the table. The filet is equally as good but you miss out on all that flavor from the marbling on a ribeye. I also get the foie gras butter topping every time. For sides there are a lot of options. My favorites are the mushrooms and broccoli for low carb options. All of the sides are very large here so get a couple and share with the others at the table. The broccoli usually has two huge stalks and is dusted with sea salt and topped with melted butter. The mushrooms come in a boat shaped dish and are slow cooked and so tender. I can’t tell you how many different varieties there are but their looks to be about 4 different kinds in the dish. They are also cooked in what I’d guess to be a red wine reduction. If you’re not worried about carbs the duck fat fries are really good as is the lobster mac and cheese. Here they have a cast iron skillet with Mac and cheese and a crunchy bread crumb topping. All of this is topped with a whole small crusted and fried lobster tail on top. Now comes desert. Do yourself a favor and save room for the bread pudding. You’ll thank me later.

A truly wonderful experience. We celebrated a birthday here, and while this place is usually out of our price range, it is worth it. We ordered oysters, shrimp scampi, king crab legs and the bone in filet. Nothing dissapointed. The service was also the best we’ve EVER had.

Great crab cake! Steak wasn’t worth the price and had that chain steakhouse taste. Great potatoes au gratin. Little pricy for the overall. Pretentious atmosphere at best. 3 stars for the crab cake only.

Regarded by many as one of the better steakhouses in Houston. Service and food preparation are top-notch. I’ve always had a good experience here. There are a couple of things I’ve had(other than steaks) that have risen to the top of my recollection and I highly recommend. The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, finished with a chive beurre blanc, quite possibly may be the best crab cake in the greater Houston area. And a dessert, if you’re lucky enough to find it on the menu, their croissant bread pudding, served with a homemade caramel ice cream. Both spectacular.

This place is amazing. Came here for a NYE dinner and ended up staying the whole night. The atmosphere was great. For a table of four we got the tomahawk steak, a humungous steak, baked potatoe, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and bone marrow. Everything was amazing here. The price was very very expensive at the end but it was worth every cent. Probably could have done without the salad and one the sides. But everything was so good. Would come here again without a doubt.

I heard from a couple of people that this was a really good steakhouse. I have been to many steakhouses(fine dining restaurants) in Houston. The person waiting on us was very professional and nice. I order the special for the night and I wanted my steak medium rare, came out almost cooked, so I had to send it back. Overall it was a good place to eat and would’ve given it 5 stars but since it’s a fancy fine dining steakhouse(very pricey) and had to send mine back, 4 stars is right for this place.

My wife’s hair CAUGHTONFIRE at Vic and Anthony’s last night due to an ill placed candle. The staff at Vic and Anthony’s DIDNOTHING. No applogy, no offer to pay for a trip to the hair salon… nothing. Other diners came to our table to see if she was okay. We are finished with this restaurant.

Trying to decide what to get as my only steak meal in Houston was tough. I did tons of research late one night and decided in Vic and Anthony’s. I ended up ordering a California red blend to start off with. I am from California so definitely had to get that one. Since I really just wanted steak, I decided to filet mignon with foie gras butter. Damn I’m so glad I decided to get that butter because who doesn’t want duck liver and fat on top of a great piece of meat. Damn so good. Looks great too. I ended up getting mac n cheese too, you know to try it out. I definitely didn’t finish it all since the portions are much bigger in Texas. Since I walked in around 4:30 for dinner, I sat at the chefs counter and honestly, I preferred that. I often to places myself and it’s awesome that I can talk to the chefs in front of me and get some conversation in. Definitely a great experience if you get it. Overall, I loved my experience.

I went out with my mom to a fancy dinner in Houston. She’s a vegetarian, but insisted that she could find a great meal at a steakhouse. And she was right! The service was outstanding, which I expect from any high-end place, but still worth noting. Our waiter made us feel comfortable and made a phenomenal beer recommendation(Yellow Rose IPA). And this place is beautiful — even with a packed house, it was never loud or crowded. My mom got the mushroom gnocchi and called it the«best meal of her life.» I grabbed an NY Strip Steak with a bleu cheese topping and was bleun away. The one downside was that we spent $ 10 on sea salt fries, which were delicious, but arrived lukewarm. As soon as we mentioned this, we were brought an overflowing batch(new fries, not re-heated)… and our dessert was comped. Vic and Anthony’s: Worth every penny.

We had a nice dining experience at Vic & Anthony’s. For starters, I ordered the Fresh, which was a mighty fine concoction of vodka and some other stuff, like cucumbers. It was really refreshing. Our waitress recommended it and said it was a good«sipping» drink. Uh … I don’t sip my drinks … I grew up in the Country and get down to the bid-ness when I’m drinking! I was tinkering with the idea of having an appetizer, so I opted for the ceviche. It has chunks of grapefruit(you know, for those watching your figures) and the fish was so fresh and tasty! I rounded out my evening with the black pepper tuna cooked medium rare. Delightful! Thankfully we walked from the Four Seasons because I honestly felt like a fatty after that meal. It was overall very good, even if it is a chain. ;)

We went here for our«Mini-Moon.» No words are equivalent to the deliciousness of their food! Literally the best steak that simply melts in your mouth. Best dessert I have ever tasted. Hands down, this is Heaven on earth! The staff is a treat and very helpful. We start, we ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. Perfection. I wish there were more than 6 on the plate! I ordered the filet mignon with jumbo lump crab Oscar. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing this was. It’s a huge hunk of meat, so I had to take about half of it home. Which, to my surprise, is just as good the next day! This steak melts like butter, and the creamy crab topping is … Orgasmic, haha! Duck fat potatoes and asparagus were ordered for sides, and these were unbelievable as well. I asked that the asparagus be cooked a little longer than the usual, as I cannot stand super crunchy asparagus. They delivered perfection, and I was very pleased! We couldn’t fit in dessert, but our server insisted and surprised us with a complimentary croissant bread pudding as it was a special dinner for us. Unbelievable dessert. We were SO full, but we practically licked the plate anyway. ONLY thing that we weren’t keen on was the fact it was very loud and noisy on a Saturday night. We wanted more of a romantic, candlelit dinner. But the food and service is so amazing that it didn’t exactly matter! Can’t wait to go back!

Very nice and very expensive steak joint downtown. Dinner for 8 was. Blast with great service and a great sommelier. Both helped us pick some great entrees and a great Pinot Noir. They have no trouble charging you $ 60 for a steak. Veal chop was fantastic and my dinner companions devoured their various assortment of steaks and chops. We had four sides; Brussel sprouts, au gratin potatoes, mushrooms and creamed spinach and all were great. Whiskey selection was top notch with very reasonable pricing. Here’s a tip. Park on the street and bypass the wait for the valet.

Food was delicious… as usual, but I did notice a few things this visit that really bothered me. For starters, the valet guys(4 of them when we pulled up) never opened my car door. I’m sorry, but this is standard at ANY4 star restaurant in Houston. Not only did they not open my car door, they also didn’t open the door to the restaurant! I mean they do that at Carrabbas! I certainly expect doors to be opened for me when I’m dropping $ 400-$ 500 on dinner(for two)! Once inside, we were seated promptly, had great service and delicious food. My husband did find the lobster Mac-n-cheese a bit too salty for his taste.

Great experience here! This upscale steakhouse really blew me away. I had heard great things about this restaurant especially how fancy it was but I didn’t believe the hype. There are a handful of restaurants in Houston I’ve been to that has been classified as «upscale» and I still see douchey 20 year olds in jeans frequenting these restaurants. It was refreshing to see people my age and older(yes, I’m old) dressed up for dinner. Walking in we were immediately greeted by the hostess. We arrived on time for our reservation but our table wasn’t ready yet so we wandered to the bar and ordered some drinks. There was live music playing at the bar area which was very crowded. The bartenders were very attentive though so we didn’t have to wait long to order. I ordered a dirty martini which was good but you really can’t screw up a dirty martini right? Total wait time for our table took a good 20 minutes but my friends and I met a few friendly people at the bar so time went quickly. Once we sat down our waiter promptly greeted us and was very helpful in giving us recommendations of what was most popular on the menu. For appetizers we all shared the crabcake which was amazing!!! Definitely a must try if you come here! For our entrée my husband and I decided to splurge and split the 40 oz. Heartbrand Tomahawk Chop(don’t judge– we love our beef!!). We ordered our steak medium rare and it came out rare which is due to the fact that it’s a thick piece of meat! That thing was huuuge! My husband loves his steaks rare so he loved it but I prefer mine a little less pink. I did try a piece of the rare steak but I’m just not a fan of the chewiness or rare meat. The waiter was very kind and offered to take back a piece of the steak so it could be cooked more medium rare for me. It came out the way I preferred and it was very good! For sides we all shared the mac & cheese, asparagus, au gratin potatoes, and creamed spinach. The sides didn’t blow me away but they were still good nonetheless. Overall, the ambiance here is what really got me! It was a fun, busy, happening restaurant and I loved it! This is the first time in 2 years living in Houston I’ve felt like I was actually in a MAJOR city. Great job Vic & Anthony’s!

I went here back in September of 2014. It was a celebration of our 16th anniversary. Now service was impeccable; the music was smooth and jazzy(old style). The food was good, but not as immaculate as you would expect for a high-end steakhouse. Further, it was very noisy in the place — it was packed to that gills that night. I could barely hear my wife and our friends talking that night. I think this is due to the fact that all the tables are packed together. Not an intimate ambience. Maybe on an off-hour, it might prove better, but judging from the other reviews, a five-star rating it can’t quite achieve: that would require meticulous attention to getting things done the way you expect.

This is a Landry’s Restaurant. Again not liking the chain restaurants I had a strike against them. But when you walk in you feel like an old school restaurant. Kinda like Original Joe’s in San Francisco. It has just enough formal flare, but is comfortable. The food was great. I had the bone in strip. It was very good. The wine list was pretty good. The mixed drinks were mixed well and tasted superb.

Sometimes I just need a good piece of meat to have a good time and luckily for me there is no shortage of steakhouse in Houston. I have tried mostly all the steakhouses and this one seems to be a bit cheaper then the rest, not by much but still some. I opted for a filet mignon cut medium rare, in its simplest form it is absolutely delicious. Of course I paired it with french fries which are absolutely my favorite side for a steak. Overall, this place did not make my top 3 steakhouses but if you are in the area it is a great choice to curb that meat craving!
