The only place I get my nails done. this salon is well organized and clean that makes me feel comfortable every time i visit. I usually just get a mani/pedi and have never had anything to complain about. The price is affordable too. I really like the way the staff members work here, fast, friendly, they were patient, and took step by step until i’m satisfied. It’s hard to find good places like this! i would come back for another nail done next time. Highly recommended!!!

After years of loyal service, I refuse to go back. The overall service started declining a couple of years ago but after my last experience at Tulipo I will NOT be going back ever again. I had an appointment scheduled for 10:30am on a Friday morning. I had to leave town later that afternoon so I really wanted to get in and out as soon as possible. I arrive, pick out my colors, and am directed to a chair. I sit in this chair for 35 minutes before anyone even begins my mani/pedi. Why even bother scheduling an appointment? The lady that did my pedicure was nice and did a good job; however, when it got to my manicure another one helped out. I had my shellac color picked out, she brings back the color and as soon as she opens the nail polish I tell her«that isn’t the color I picked.» She had a bright sparkly orange and I was going for a coral pink color. The lady insisted and said«it changes colors underneath the light.» She proceeded to paint my entire hand with this shellac. I then put it under the UV light for about a minute and the color did not change. AFTER applying this shellac to my entire hand she went and looked at the color again and realized she had retrieved the wrong«10» polish. She then had to get SHELLAC off my nails which is an extremely long and annoying process. After OVERTWOHOURS at Tulipo, I was finally done. The owner did nothing to help with this matter at all. She walked over as the lady was taking off my shellac and they laughingly spoke to each other in Vietnamese. I understand that people make mistakes; I just felt incredibly frustrated that my time was not considered at all NOR was ANY apology offered.

They took 2 ½ hours for a simple pink and white set!!! I wouldn’t be this annoyed if my nails turned out decent — but nope… She didn’t listen when I asked her to file the nails down because they were too thick, she cut 4 cuticles, and didn’t bother to file the acrylic under the nail. Oh and the nails are all uneven lengths. You’d think someone who spends that amount of time would do a great job?

This is my place for getting my eyebrows waxed, the young lady who services me is very helpful, friendly and always does a good and consistent job. I sometimes get a manicure and pedicure here as well, I like how clean and sanitary this salon is.

NEVERUSETHISSHOPEVER!!! I received the worst service ever. First, I told the nail tech that I only had an hour for a fill. She took forever to take the polish off my nails and then quit to go work on another customer. Next I showed her a picture of the simple design that I wanted on my nails and told her that I did not want to pay $ 15 extra for shellac polish. She said she could to the design. After messing up three times, she finally went to the shellac, without informing me! What was supposed to cost $ 20 they charged me $ 40 because of the shellac! NEVERAGAIN!!! Don’t waste your time of your money on this place!!! Con rip-off artist is all they are!!! RUN!!!

SLOW! Have 2 hours for a manicure? Then go to Tulipo. This place was slow the first time I went, but at least I was spoken to when walking in the door. I went here during my lunch from work though again, and was never helped at the front desk. 10 minutes later I was assigned a place to sit. I waited another 10 minutes and no one came. I walked out without getting a manicure and have no incentive to go back. The place was not busy, and had no sign in sheet to wait. Clearly not run efficiently.

Went on a Sunday afternoon place was busy, I waited about an hour, it was not my first time there, once I started getting my pedicure the lady barely touched my feet I dont know if she didnt like the fact that I declined additional services she offered. I waited for an hour and spent five min doing my pedi, I also got a manicure I had to tell her to re do the polish because she didn’t paint the whole nail, when I told her about it she had an attitude, when I proceeded to sit to the table to dry my nails she didn’t do the back massage that it’s always included no matter what kind of pedicure you get. I still gave her a tip but honestly she did not deserve one, I always go et my nails done yhis has been by far the worst experience. My pedicure didn’t even last one day. Terrible . I will never go back, there are many other nail places around the area, like Diva Nail on Eldridge

Very convenient, and the staff is very friendly. On the weekends, especially the afternoons, they tend to get pretty busy so I avoid going during that time. The place is quite small and can get pretty crowded. Other than that, I recommend them.

I live right next door to this place, so I started going about a year ago. I can literally walk there. At first, I started going to a woman named Kay. She was very nice as long as you talked to her about her family and made small talk. Until one day she snapped on me when I nicely told her I didn’t like my nails. I wasn’t rude or demanding. I just wanted her to re-file the nails that she left slanted. After that time, she never put the same effort into my nails and started being sloppy. Next I started going to Susan, because I noticed everyone was asking for her. She did a perfect job, and I could trust that my nails would come out right every time. Today, I found out that she is no longer there. I tried to give another technician a chance since going there is so convenient. I called first to make sure they weren’t busy and walked over. Once I got there and picked a color, they put me in a pedicure chair to soak my feet while I chose a shelac color for my hands. No problem, right? Wrong! They left me soaking in cold water for 20 minutes while they kept telling me they’ll be right with me and refusing to give me an actual time of when they’d start on me. If that wasn’t enough, they kept talking under their breath in Vietnamese after everytime I asked how much longer. It was weird because they weren’t busy. There were only 3 other women in the whole salon. I don’t have a problem with waiting, but be up front with me. Don’t trap me into staying by leaving my feet soaking in water until you feel like helping me. I eventually asked for a towel to dry my feet off so I could just leave. I’m really torn about going back. It’s so convenient, BUT there’s a huge decline in service and the pricing is just ok. I may try to find another place close by. :/

Not a bad option if you live close by. The massage chairs are old, the décor dated, the smell of chemicals could make a grown man cry, but service is good and price is great($ 25 for mani pedi, I got Shellac mani for $ 22). What I like about this place is it’s not packed even on the weekend, so you get great service and not feel rushed. Lots of colors for Shellac as well, very tempting… It felt like my nails were under the UV light a lot longer than at other places, personally I’m not sure if that’s necessary since Shellac in my experience has always been indestructible, but hey maybe this time it’s even stronger…
