Tony is everything you want in an auto shop: efficient, quality service at a low cost. I come here for all the typical car maintenance items: oil change, tire rotation, brake pad or rotor replacement, and air filter and fan belt replacement.
Tony is a very nice, quiet guy that gets the job done well. He speaks both Chinese and English. Don’t worry, you can understand him just fine. His shop may look run down, but he provides some of the best services I’ve ever received.
If you’re looking for glamorous waiting round, skip this place. If you know your car will take a while, I would suggest arranging another ride to pick you up and bring you back. Again, choke here for the work and service, not the glitz and glamour.
To give you an example, I just got my rear rotors replaced. I went to Meineke first, and they quoted me at $ 350 (parts, labor, whatever else these companies add on). Tony quoted me at far less than that (almost half).
The only downfall is that this place is CASH AND CHECK only. But that’s how he keeps the costs so low!

Great service! Tony is such a nice guy. I was recommended by my boyfriend’s dad who is friends with him. I had trouble with my distributor on my car and he installed in a new one for a good price. Although I did have trouble with my car a few months later, my boyfriend wanted to fix it so he did. After my boyfriend tried to fix the problem, my car wouldn’t start so I had to bring in again to Tony’s. I got it in a few days, and it turned out my boyfriend put the distributor backwards. But Tony didn’t charge me for fixing the error! So he basically did it for free! If you need something done or complicated on your car I recommend you go to Tony.

Okay so I’m pretty moronic when it comes to cars, so yes, please do bear that in mind and go ahead use it against me (as it’s been done before at Pep Boys and random creepy straggler dudes stalking around my old apartment parking lot with their, «Ma’am, your car is emitted sparks all over the place!» Me, «Oh my gawd, really?! What should I do?!), but I must say Tony Tang is most excellent car mechanic.
I am not certain that his English is so fantastic as I had to stutter along in Chinglish to garner information on whatever issues, but should you overcome the possible language barrier — green pastures ahead.
If Tony makes a well-​informed estimate — he will stick to it. Even if he stumbles upon minor things he hadn’t initially noted — he will still address them. I mean, even if he discovers a major issue, he will inform you and try to work out a more-​than-​reasonable price increase. You gotta love that about a car mechanic.
I will say that that being a loyal patron of Tony Auto Services will entitle you to more «discounts.» And oh yeah, it helps if you don’t totally insult his intelligence/​expertise by low-​balling his estimate because I assure you, that’s just now how they do things over there! He’s quite an honest and friendly guy and he’s possibly the principal reason my car hasn’t killed me yet. ..
