Was great when it was open. Been closed for a few months. Anybody know when it’ll be open again?

the first month Tobins was open I had a lot of fun. several months later I returned and it had gone down hill. I love a good dive bar but this was not a dive bar nor was it good. There was a fight, the bartenders were taking forever, and the staff just seemed rude. Very disappointing since I was a really big fan the first few tries.

Love the concept as far as the outdoor games and everything go. But if I’m not inside sitting at the bar, my service absolutely sucks. Really sucks… Waitresses walk around outside the whole time and I’ve literally sat there with an empty drink and menu in my hand and just get passed up continuously and have to walk up to the outside bar to finally get service. By then I’m like why should I eat here? So I don’t bother. This place is 5 minutes(if that) from my house and I always end up driving to the Willowbrook area instead for better service. And drinks here are pretty pricey. ***check out Shamrock’s in Willowbrook. WAY better…

A friend of ours told us that one of his friends raved about this place, so we decided to check it out. We walked in and it was really nice with a few pool tables, a couple of TV’s, and a good mix of tunage. But we couldn’t figure out what made this place so special. We kept seeing people walk out the side door, but weren’t really thinking about what was happening. It wasn’t until we started chatting it up with this other fella that we realized we were missing out on something back there. So, we made our way out back and it was clear why this friend of a friend had been raving about it! We walked out to see a ginormous TV, giant Jenga, Sumo suit wrestling on a stage, trash can beer pong, corn hole, basketball, skee-ball, etc. There was an outside bar, fire pit for the cooler nights, and mysters for the hotter summer nights. It was pretty awesome and we had a blast! We come back pretty regularly, maybe every couple of months and each time there’s something different. They’ve definitely found ways to keep things fresh, figure out what’s not working anymore and bring in new trends. Now, they have added another bar outside as well as brought in hookah. Like most places, you’ll have some good service and some not so good, same with bartenders, but it’s never been just downright horrible. Really it’s just too hard to not have a good time at this place.

Paid for chicken fajita nachos to go, got stale chips, cheese and salsa. On top of that it took the bartender 30 mins just for that!!! Will never go there again!!!

It’s your basic neighborhood bar. Crowd was ok. Would have given 3 stars except I really liked the back patio area so that bumped it up. There are several games to choose from. I know I saw some giant Jenga games and maybe corn hole or something. Seemed cool that people had something to do other than sit there and drink. Liked that they had a big screen showing the music videos going along with the music. Provides a little more interest. Parking is good. Atmosphere is ok. It’s in a strip center to not much to write home about except the back patio was fun. Drink prices were good. I would go back.

I went here on the advice of a co-worker about two weeks ago. She hadn’t been there in about 6 months but you figure it can’t be that different in 6 months. …well… Or so one would think. In this dimly lit abode for drinking you will find sticky floors, with a hint of mildew in the air, or maybe that’s some European brand of air freshener? Cigarette burns cover the table and bars. I think the A/C must be on its final legs as well. The bar is filled with surly tattooed and pierced bikers, just itching for a fight. This haven for the criminal element is no friendly place. Probably not a place to bring your co-workers to for happy hour after work, unless you are employed by a Mexican drug cartel. The food is one level below the refuse one might find in a trash can after lunch at a public middle school. The bartenders(unless you refer to them as drug dealers) cannot be bothered serving you unless of course you need a side order of meth. Draft beer or vinegar, or whatever it is don’t order it. In fact just don’t go here. A very good chance you will contract Hep C from breathing.

This place is okay. I drink cognac and of course they did not have any. I put a bunch of money in the jukebox only for them to turn it way downbecause they did not like the music I chose. I will not be going back

I like Tobins as a neighborhood bar. The drinks are good, the outdoor patio is nice and why not play a few games while you are there. I would not hang out there during the club hours. We go for FREE steak night, free crawfish(yummmmmmmm) just to chill things like that. There Hurricane was great. Just a place to chill.

Ordered a french connection(hennessey and grand marnier) and explained it to the waitress when ordering it. She seemed like she understood. The bar said they had to charge me for two drinks when in all actuality ever other place I have been to charges me for either a Hennessy or grand Marnier which ever is higher because it’s a mixture of ½ a ounce of Hennessy and a ½ a ounce of grand marnier. She told me the bar would charge me for two drinks because they could pour a ½ ounce. The total was 18 bucks. 9 dollars a piece. I ordered a Hennessy and cranberry for my next drink and got charged 11.75. How when you order one drink is it higher then then combo drink. I asked the dj to play some to short and after a hour never got it. I went to him again and he said give me a second. I gave you a hour bro. Apparently he doesn’t understand that you play what the customers want to hear. I thought this would be a great place to hang out because it’s around the corner from the house but since they can’t seem to get their stuff together I will drive into Houston. By the way while writing this review a busses just came and stuck his fingers in my water trying to pick it up while I’m sitting here. I had my back to him but when I noticed him picking my cup up he walked off. Excuse me sir I don’t want the water after you put your fingers in it. Ugh I’m fine with this spot App

Houston is running out of sports bars like this one. I have never been to an indoor/outdoor bar like this one but got to see how a sports bar in and out looks like. And people sometimes only come here for one admiring food: crawfish! I went here and they were having an all you can eat crawfish deal, but I decided not to get some because the line was almost out the door to get crawfish. Instead I had a chance to sit outside and view this nice area to watch TV. They also have a play area for kids including soccer, ping pong or play football. Since I didn’t have crawfish, I had a Tobins burger. Boy! This burger was one of the biggest I’ve laid eyes on and I couldn’t even finish it. It was good though; the flavors of the burger were spot on and I loved the appeal to it when it came out. It could get messy if you try to pick it up, so I’d suggest cutting it and eating it with a fork. The indoor part of the bar is decent, but it was a little dark when I went inside. The outdoor seating is covered and they have heaters on when it’s cold. I enjoyed the big screens outside and the area where we had a group sitting. The waiters were nice and there’s even a guy that opens the door for you when you walk in. Parking is great because it’s in a strip center. I enjoyed this sports bar to see how a sports bar outside Houston is expanding. It gets 3 stars because of some food choices on the menu I found a tiny bit awkward, but I’d say this location is A OK.

Fun atmosphere, laid back people. This is my type of environment. I like how there are several things going on and lots of big screens. I love the life sized board games and the outside area. I prefer going in spring or summer because the inside isn’t really big and the outside is obviously cold during colder weather, although there are the big heaters. For so, e people I’m sure the heaters help, but I a, always freezing cold as it is and I don’t want to have to bundle up to have a good time. Other than that I would say it is a great place, and it’s nice not having to get super dressed up, but there is a dress code.

In my opinion this place is deceiving from the outside(granted it was a Monday or Tuesday evening and my first time. The parking lot was empty and it didn’t even look open) This is a suburban gem, I was surprised by all the tv screens and picnic tables in the back. Sadly it wasn’t football season when I came but definitely enjoyed pigging out on bar food with my friend even though she doesn’t prefer«dude» bars. I will be coming here when I don’t feel like driving all the way downtown or to Montrose area for a drink!

First time being here. The atmosphere is really relaxed. There is an outdoor and indoor portion of the place. The outdoor is cool with music playing. Granted it’s cold but there are plenty of heaters to keep you warm. Will definitely come back!

Let me be very clear here. You CANNOT mix up the flavor of Jack Daniels with any other liquor. Yes, I’m starting with that. I don’t care what you mix with Jack… when its Jack… you know its Jack. So for a Jack & Coke drinker, whether the coke is flat or not, you can’t fool a consistent Jack person. Well… my experience at this bar was clear evidence of an establishment refilling bottles. I even witnessed the pour from the bottle the 2nd time… and I told the bartender… That Is Not Jack. Now that that’s clear, lets get on with the review. I could have stopped right there, but I will make this a bit more in-depth to seperate the rookies from the Elites. I can understand why people like this place. As everyone says it has a big patio with plenty of games and areas to entertain. Its a bit different. Kind of a spring break spot. The best part however is the DJ there is fantastic! He makes even bad music sound good. But now there is my but rant… Simple…its just not for me. I didnt feel like a guest there, I felt like a number. Its that same feeling you get when you’re at a cheap packed Chinese buffet. The place is theme-less with no thought to design. You just exist where ever you are and you lose that comfort of finally getting familiar with your surroundings. Every 20 feet you’re in a different area that looks like a different bar with a different crowd. I’ve been more comfortable in a one room dive. There is a wait staff. Not many but they exist and are pretty attentive. It wasn’t the waitress that lead me to feeling that way but just the environment. Its a big mix of every walk of life dressed any kind of way and ladies were free to enter but men was $ 5 bucks. Even that was tacky. So you’re paying like you are going to a club but at a bar. Huh? Yeah.exactly. Like I said… felt like a number and taken advantage of. If you are in a frat and/or still love that frat house lifestyle from 21 and haven’t experienced nothing out of life, then this may be your hangout spot. But if you prefer a little more sophistication(and believe me it doesn’t take allot) then this isnt your spot. And don’t let me forget… don’t order Patron shots here, they pour just enough of it in the shot glass to make vapor. Get Cuervo instead. Dont risk getting Jack and don’t order a Martini of any kind. In fact… if you like any of what’s in this paragraph… this bar isn’t for you. Drink Jack and Prosper.

I’ve been here 3 times and each time I always have fun. This is a great addition to the Copperfield area. No issues with parking. Great music and awesome service. Big props to accommodating for the rain. I had reserved a table this past Saturday for my friends bday and it so happen to rain. But no worries. They had the outdoor patio covered and closed off to protect from the rain. Not bad at all!

Last minute decision for me and my sis to have a girls night. She’s in Htown, I’m in the ATL, so girl time is priority! We settled on this place after high recommendations from our peeps. Plus it was five minutes away from my sisters house lol. May I say I was pleasantly surprised! This bar had it all… pool tables, dart board, dance area, patio seating, large bar and the music was off the chain! Yeah, it’s a neighborhood bar in the Northern Houston burbs, but I was satisfied. :-)

Went to Tobins last night for Fat Tuesday fun with my guy & guess what?! They had FREE — YESFREE, ALLYOUCANEAT(TILITSGONE) Crawfish! I was shocked … no gimmicks, no holding back, FREE, my friends. & to top it off, they came complete with corn on the cob & new potato. They filled the Styrofoam plate to the max and although the crawfish were kinda small, they were tasty and steamy hot. The drinks are priced moderately low, the music was great & not too loud. There were plenty of people milling around, but not a crazy crowd — the people watching was nice. We really had fun watching the Rockets win! The crowd diminished a bit after the game, but it was still super cool to get FREE eats. Oh yes, I broke down & liked them on Facebook :-)

Rode my Bolt to meet some friends here to watch the playoffs. The inside seems a little small, but I’m used to the Slick Willie’s type of sports bar/pool halls. They have a couple of pool tables, as well as a couple of electronic dart boards. From what I understand, the ultimate draw is the backyard area — which we didn’t venture out to see, because it was a bit chilly(even thought they have the cool lamp post styled heaters). It looked pretty cool and I could imagine the crowds during the summer. For most of our time there, Claudia was the only waitress servicing the inside and those brave enough to sit out in the chilly air, in the back. She did an awesome job! I tried some beef fajita tacos and they were surprisingly pretty darned good! I didn’t drink any alcohol, because I was on my motorcycle, but I saw that they had some pretty good deals on brews. I could see myself coming back here… especially if Claudia is my server!
