Might be in a bad part but it’s delicious and cheap, love the fried chicken here and the portion size is always great. Suggest getting it to go

So my first thought of this restaurant was OMWord. I was like what am I doing here. I walked in a no one was there. But looks can be deceiving. I walked up to order and the cashier was friendly and sweet. The menu had a wide selection, which was a good thing cause I didn’t know what I really wanted. I got my food in a timely manner and hot. Got home and enjoyed my food and it was good. I got a lot of food for the money also. But it really wouldn’t matter to me about that cause I eat very little. I would def come back one day.

The wings make me a fan of Timmy Chans! Huge portions; big juicy wings fried crispy; SooOOooooo de-freaking-yummy-licious; and last of all, the prices are almost unbeatable! 10 big, big yummy wings on a bed of fried rice with a fried biscuit all for only $ 11.99. I doubt one can find such good prices elsewhere. Some of the fried rice is a little dry and tastes bland, and the fried biscuit is good only if you opt for very greasy foods; BUT, the wings are really truly tasty especially when they are still hot/warm! May I suggest buying to-go orders and eating at your own favorite places because the restaurant is old and smells like a mega-sized fryer in itself. Also, it is located in a shady strip mall that makes me feel not very secured, and parking may be a pain in the butts. One more thing, cash only. Anyways, I definitely will return to take home more yummy wings! :)

I love Timmy Chan’s restaurants. I really do. I’ve been to so many Timmy Chan’s restaurants, it’s not even funny. I’ve been to the one that used to be on S. Main St(has now been moved), I’ve been to the one on Bellaire and Renwick(closed), Bellaire and Highway 6, and I’ve been to the one Scott. However, the Bissonnet location is now the closest one to me and so this is the one place that I’m doomed to go to. Just like all the other Timmy Chan’s restaurants(except for the Bellaire & Hwy 6 one), this restaurant is pretty sketchy. The inside looks like it used to be a club or something because there’s a big ass bar area in the middle of the restaurant. Obviously no liquor. Also, there’s a funky ass knight statue inside for whatever reason. Anyway, enough about that. I usually always get the sweet and sour chicken with egg rolls and some chicken wings. I gotta say, the chicken wings are good. I love them. The sweet and sour chicken is okay, but hey, it’s sweet and sour chicken. Although the S. Main location used to put some sliced pineapple in them. But not this location. I always get the food to go though. I would never. And I say NEVER eat in here. Yes, it’s that sketchy lol. But when I’m craving some Timmy Chan’s, I won’t hesitate driving here and get me some wings!

I work near this location so it’s convenient for lunch otherwise I probably would never have eaten here. It’s not a great neighborhood and it doesn’t look the cleanest from the outside. What is amazing is how much food you get for what you pay. There are plenty of deals for under $ 7 and it seems like you get enough to just about feed two people. Most of the stuff on the menu is just OK. The fried rice and other Chinese offerings are just meh but the wings are actually pretty good. I ALWAYS get drive/thru or take-out and the food has always been super hot still after I get it back to work. The bottom line is that if you want a place to get a lot of food for cheap, this is the place if you find yourself on the Southwest side of town.
