Decided to try this truck out as I saw on the UH campus. I had the shrimp, chicken breast, and beef tacos. Overall, the tacos were pretty good. Nothing spectacular or super original, but you could tell they used fresh ingredients from the first bite. I only gave it a 3 stars because three tacos after adding cheese on them at $ 1 per taco was $ 17. After finishing all of them I was still hungry (mind you I’m a skinny 140lb male). Definitely not worth the price given the portion size. I probably will never go back. Clearly a ton of better options in the Houston taco market. As for the other reviews about the rude service, didn’t have any problems with the lady that took my order, but I’m not sure if it was the same lady everyone is referring to.

Taco Nazi. That is the best way to describe the person taking the orders on this truck. The food was very good, but I was made to feel as if she was doing me a huge favor by serving me food. I have NEVER encountered such a rude person in the service industry. I was berated repeatedly. Not worth it at all. Will NEVER hire her for a private function ever again.

The food is actually good. We had a couple of tacos and we enjoy them. The service is terrible. Tila (the Mexican lady who owns the truck) is extremely rude and aggressive. We pointed out that we as clients we deserve better treatment. Her answer was ‘just shoot me’

Tila’s truck finally came to UH and I have eaten there 3x the food is actually delicious, but the lady can be somewhat aggressive. She was only there 1 of the 3x. The others that work on the truck are very pleasant. I recommend the the shrimp tacos, fish tacos and the Taos al pastor. The corn is also yummy and the hand chopped guacamole is really tasty. The prices are kind of high for college kids. One taco can cost $ 6 if you want cheese and avocado. A tiny container of rice cost $ 5. 3 pork tacos cost me $ 17. The food is delicious but it will have to be an occasional treat for me. You might as well be sitting a a restaurant for those prices

I’m not sure if the lady who takes the orders and hands them out is Tila or not but she is incredibly rude and spiteful. I’ve had two unpleasant experiences with her, the second one being so bad that I felt the need to share with others. I won’t go into details but chatting with my friends and neighbors reveled that these were not one-​time flukes but rather her normal persona. I will not give my business to someone so unpleasant. Two thumbs down to Tila’s Tacos.
