Be careful of any photographs you take while there if you post them on social media. They have been known to steal the photographs and post them on their social media accounts as if they were their own. Never giving credit, asking permission, or acknowledging the copyright holder of the photographs. It’s pretty bad when a business resorts to theft for promotional material. If they are willing to violate copyright law, what other laws are they willing to violate? Do they violate that could pose a health risk to the public? I use to frequent this establishment on a regular basis. Now that I see the law is disregarded by them I will no longer frequent their establishment and will advise everyone I know to avoid them also.

Came across this food truck on a late Saturday afternoon. Ordered the strawberry crème brûlée waffle and Omg it was to die for! I loved it! Not to sweet, just perfect. Will for sure be back to try other items on the menu.

The Waffle Bus food truck was at Houston Whatever Fest. I remember someone telling me this food truck was awesome so I decided to try out their Chicken Thunder Fries. Waffles fries and pieces of tender chicken are a match made in heaven.

I had went to them a while back and I had got a sweet waffle. I waited 15 mins for it while others who ordered after me got the chicken and waffles FRESH off the fryer. So I went and told them and they said they forgot to put my order in. So I waited another 15 mins for my order. I forgot to mention it was cold outside so that did not help at all. How hard could it be to scoop ice cream on a waffle add whip cream and sprinkles?

Yuck and yuck if you’re going to have a food truck it needs to be unique and outstanding just putting something in a waffle is not unique and the taste was not outstanding the burger on a waffle with some flavored mayonnaise big deal I know 5 year olds that can cook better than this no wow factor And over priced

I’ll give it 3 stars cause I never wrote a review when it first started but when I first had it in 2013 it was amazing! Unfortunately, now I cannot say the same. I ordered the savory sandwich. The chicken was so hard and dry almost burnt. I took a bite and could barely even chew it. It was almost like a dry duck. The spicy mayo was a weird consistency but still tasted good. The waffle was great, just the chicken killed it. I’ll probably not go back again unless friends want to. I will say the staff is always awesome and friendly!

I have to say the first time I tried this place at UH it was a lot better fast forward 2 years later I was in midtown and decided I wanted to try it again and it was quite disappointing. The chicken looks burnt the waffle fries weren’t burnt at all. Other than the chicken being burnt and dry that was my negative response.

I ate at the waffle bus about 3 years ago and it was so delicious. However, I try it again in midtown recently and it tasted alright(3⁄5). The chicken was super dried and for some reason it was so dark. The only things that were good are the sauce, waffle and fries.

Delicious! I had the fried chicken and waffle with a mix of spicy mayo and ancho chile honey and the flavor combination was awesome! The waffles were standard and paired well in size with the tender chicken so you could eat it as a sandwich or be prim and proper and go with the fork/knife method. The waffles come out soft so try asking for it to be crispy, just because the inside will inevitably get soft from the sauce it would be nice to have a little extra crunch factor. But really no complaints about the food, would definitely get it again. Service was friendly too! They travel around the city so you have to follow their posts to know their location, or find them by happy chance. Other reviewers have mentioned the no seating factor– context clues should tell you it’s a mobile operation so you should expect to make a seat for yourself(don’t be above popping a squat curbside, you are going for the food not the ambiance here) but normally they frequent areas that have chairs and tables nearby.

Best chicken and waffles ever! It was my first time trying chicken and waffles. My boyfriend has raved about them for a while now. I was pretty anti-chicken and waffles but after a few drinks I figured I’d be a little adventurous and give them a try. They have inspired me to try more so now I’ve had them from two places, this place and another place that I will not disgrace in this review. I ordered their signature dish and I also tried a smaller waffle-fry-looking situation, both magnificent. The perfect way to end your night out in midtown.

Licking my fingers as I type! This place is so AMAZINGLYDELICIOUS!!! I think they should steal the«finger licking good» phrase & coin it for themselves. The sauce that they use is sweet & zesty and is just simply wonderful. I ordered the Chicken bites & fries combo this time. Last time, I had the chicken & waffles. Both were equally delicious. No wonder the line was so long! I had to wait 40 minutes to order. Then, get in another line & wait 20 more minutes for my food. But, boy was it worth it! This place is a must try!

This one star review is purely for customer service since I didn’t have the chance to try the food, as much as I wanted to. My boyfriend and I ventured out to find where the Waffle Bus was located a week ago and the address they had listed wasn’t specific enough to find since it was on a big campus. At 7pm my boyfriend called them to clarify where they were located; we finally found them– huzzah! We scurried out of the car, enjoying the wonderful aromas from the Bus as we approached. As we got to the window, the guy inside said«oh, we’re closed.» Online it stated that they were open until 8:30. We called at 7 to clarify directions and arrived 5 – 10 minutes after calling and they were suddenly closed an hour and a half early? The guy on the phone couldn’t have told us they were about to close early? Seriously? Not sure where they learned customer service skills, but I would recommend a refresher course!

I’ve been dying to eat at this food truck, but was too lazy to venture out into houston. Luckily my job sponsored to have them come out this summer and I finally got to eat at this place!!! I got the waffle fries chicken sliders and the Strawberry Irish Cream crème brûlée! It costs $ 14 in total, but tbh it made me full very quickly! The chicken was seasoned well and had flavor! The waffle dessert was also very sweet, not too sweet, but delicious just the same! Wait time was about 10minutes as well for the food to be prepared, but there wasn’t really a line so can’t really comment on the line wait of things. I would love to go back and get some more… maybe one day

Being named«The Waffle Bus», you’d think they’d have good waffles. Not the case. The waffles here are less than mediocre, and the fried stuff is overly greasy. I mean, the flavors were there and def had potential to be amazing, but it just was not as appetizing as I had hoped it’d be. The sauce and the fries were probably my favorite part. And the guys working the bus were extremely friendly! The wait for some okay food just wasn’t worth it for me.

I waited in line for an hour for insanely greasy chicken and waffles. Was it worth it? Hmm, I’d say semi, but only since it was my first time here. I wouldn’t wait that long again. I got the buttermilk chicken & waffle with spicy mayo. Honestly, the spicy mayo is what did it for me. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to eat more than half. The chicken was dripping in grease and the waffle was mediocre. Overall, it was good and I’d order it again, but maybe split it with someone next time. I felt like a huge, melting, jiggling blob of unworthiness after devouring this overwhelming entrée.

The waffle bus is the best place for a fast delicious breakfast. I ordered the chicken waffle sandwich with some spicy mayo. It hit the spot. My roommate tried the chicken waffle sandwich with the chile honey butter sauce that was also very tasty. The waffle was not very sweet which is why it paired so well with the crispy chicken. Plus I’m more of a savory not sweet kind of person. I will definitely be going back!

Let me qualify this review, if you get the chicken and waffles with the honey aioli sauce, 5⁄5 hands down. If you venture outside of that, the quality goes down. Had the cheeseburger fryders which is a cool twist on the slider: mini cheeseburgers sandwiched between large waffle fries instead of buns. Sadly, the idea was better than the execution. The burgers were overcooked and they don’t ask you how you would like them done. Spicy mayo that came on it however was legit. I haven’t tried their dessert waffles so can’t comment on that. Also saw the inside of the food truck when one of the cooks came out and it wasn’t as clean as you would like. Yeah it’s a food truck but the cleaner the better.

Great spot with amazing food. I go to the waffle bus every time they come to the UH Campus and I always get the Strawberry Irish Crème Brûlée. It is easily my favorite dessert dish on this planet so far. I also tried their chicken and waffle, and their waffle cheeseburger, both incredibly delicious. The amount of money I have spent on the waffle bus is ridiculous so i think ill just stick to the desert . The service is good, no complaints there, no praise either but no problem haha. Highly recommended

Who doesn’t love waffles? When I saw this place pop up on the UH campus, I had to try it. This was my first time trying chicken and waffles, and I have to say, I was not disappointed. The waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was well seasoned and crispy and juicy. You get a choice of sauce and I chose the spicy mayo. I should have asked for extra sauce, so there’s your tip! If you like sauce, ask for extra because they only put a drizzle. The next time I’m back in town I’m going to try the dessert waffles. Be their friend on Facebook to find out where they’ll be and their hours.

Waffle sandwiches and desserts. The waffles are good, but not special, so focus on the right filling and sauce. I have been to visit this food truck a couple of times. The first time, my family seeked them out on a weekend, and the second time, I found them sitting in front of the downtown Houston library. During both visits, I had the Smoked Salmon Waffle. This is a delicious sandwich with a great blend of spinach, cream cheese, tomatoes, and balsamic. The sandwich is a good price at $ 8 and has some healthy ingredients. Taking a bite of the waffle by itself, the waffle has more of a bread-like taste… not like the sweeter waffles you get at the Waffle House restaurant. The folded waffle does make good bread for the sandwich, though, and is not greasy on your hands. My friends had the fried chicken and waffle… one with regular honey and the other with spicy mustard. They enjoyed their sandwiches and I will have to try a chicken waffle next time, most likely with the recommended ancho chile honey butter. My daughter loves the WB dessert waffles.
