Tasty food with a helpful friendly staff. This is a lunch counter in the McKinney Place Tunnel under the McKinney Garage. I really don’t expect much from food court type counters, but I was very satisfied with my meal, the price, and the service. I was directed to eat there by the McKinney Kiosk and given a discount coupon to try it out. The presentation of the counter could use some work. There is a lot of saran wrap floating around, and I had to lean over the sneeze guard to see the food options. That is perhaps my only complaint. Any other person would have stood back and read the menu posted over the counter, but I wanted to check out what I was going to eat. I was immediately greeted by the owner, and when I asked«what have you got?» he steered me directly to some very tasty looking rotisserie chicken in a heated pan under some saran wrap. So, I picked the breaded tilapia that was next to it(call me crazy adventurous!). You get two sides, so I asked the lady hovering over them to pick her favorite for me. I ended up with vegetables and mac & cheese. Everything was put into a divided to-go box(which is important as other places do not do that and you end up with soggy things that shouldn’t be soggy). At the cash register, I was told that Friday was free drink day, so lucky me! They have most coke items and possibly tea, but I was in too much of a hurry to check, and just grabbed some soda. My credit card was not overly strained by the transaction partially due to the discount I got from the Kiosk. When I got back to my office, the food was still warm. The fish was not too dry, and the breading was flavorful and quite interesting. This is where I wish I was a trained chef or something, because I could relate what spices and such were used to please my palate, but basically it was just a good piece of fish. The vegies were seasoned and buttered, and the mac and cheese was tasty without salt or pepper. I have to say, it was a pretty good experience all around. I’m definitely a fan, and will go back. :-)

Rotisserie & Grill Co. replaced the Mexican/Indian outlet previously in the McKinney Place Garage food court(tunnel level). Initially stopped in for a healthier breakfast. Loved the Bombay omelet — onions, bell pepper, tomato & jalapeño with toast on the side. $ 3. Yep, only $ 3! Went back later with a co-worker who ordered it with egg whites only and spinach added & they still charged just $ 3. Not only was the food good, they had a variety of sauces — regular pico and red sauces, plus a tomatillo, mango-habanero, and a couple of others, The lady(wife of the owner) gladly let us have as many as we wanted. They also offer breakfast tacos & sandwiches. Returned today for lunch. Thought about the chicken salad that was on display, but opted for the Friday-only tortillia crusted tilapia. Wonderful! Came with 2 sides — to stay healthy, had the zucchini-carrot and steamed broccoli. Both good. My lunch buddy had the chicken tikka breast meal with creamed spinach & whipped sweet potatoes — she enjoyed it & would order it again. Total for both was $ 16-something. ~$ 7.50 each, good deal! Other sides included mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, rice & some others. They make the salads in front of you, so you can add/subtract items as you wish. Also offer a variety of sandwiches & of course, rotisserie chicken. Since they’re in the McKinney food court, they are part of the frequent diner program. Get a card from the lady in the kiosk, have it stamped 10 times by any of the restaurants & then get 5-$ 5 gift cards to their restaurants of your choice. LOVE that deal!
