The Music Box Theater

Friends introduced us to Music Box Theater about a year and a half ago and we haven’t missed a show since. Not only is the cast extremely talented, they are a lot of fun and interact well with the audience. This is huge bang for your buck!

Always entertaining and fun… great talent, fabulous voices. We have attended every show they put on from their beginning, five years ago. After each show we cannot wait to sign up for the next.

The small and intimate venue lends itself perfectly to a fun and friendly evening, shared with both talented and funny, wonderful entertainers. After hearing about this cabaret theater for several years, we finally joined our neighbor friends (& family) and were overwhelmed with the experience. Singing (& joking) from a best-​of collection of five years of performances, these five artists (& their four member «orchestra») delighted us with their harmonic & individual singing, while evoking a variety of emotions from us (especially laughter), and taking the time & effort to really connect with their audience.
Our group of ten discovered many similar past experiences with their cast & crew members, and thoroughly joined every minute of those conversations (pre– and post performance) while also enjoying, beyond words, their evening’s show! Twenty thumbs up!

What a great place. Small intimate atmosphere. The singers are outstanding. I loved the music and the comedy. The band handled a variety of music flawlessly.

This place is awesome! The team is so creative, and the music is so fun! Service is fast … Come see!

Omg! We had the BEST time at this show on Saturday night. We wanted to do something different and found this in Unilocal.The acting and singing were out of this world! We laughed so hard and truly enjoyed ourselves. We were the youngest people in the crowd — and we are in our early 40’s. Not sure why the crowd was so much older because we could totally relate to the entire show. We will definitely go back and bring friends with us next time!!!

My husband and I went there last night for our date night. We had a wonderful time! It was our first time at The Music Box Theater, we really enjoyed the Travelsty play! Wonderful cast. Very entertaining.

Wonderful cast and crew. Small venue with a very intimate atmosphere. The music is fun and whimsical, and the cast clearly has a lot of fun while singing and interacting with the audience. My wife and I haven’t laughed like this on a date in some time.

I’ve been several times and really enjoyed myself — and so did those who went with me. Brad, Rebekah, Kristina, Luke, and Cay are great performers, are the owners, and are often ushers helping you to your seats. I like that intimacy, but it’s also about the performances. They have fun on stage so we in the audience do too. Rebekah has a voice! Wow! And so do Brad & Luke!
If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.

The music and comedy are excellent, but that’s just the beginning. The beauty of a feeling of welcome as well as a feeling of family in this small yet warm and familiar venue make every show magical.
The experience is such that one is inspired to attend not just every show, but rather one is inspired to attend each show more than once! EVERY night is different because the dynamic shifts depending on the crowd and whatever mood the performers might be in. Yet each artist is a professional to the highest degree.
Please take my advice and don’t miss out on these enlivening and heartwarming experiences.

Went to see Broadway opening show. Very friendly staff. Amazingly talented performers loved the end act. Their passion for their craft is infectious Highly recommend this venue and will come back. Cozy local theatre. We reserved a table where we enjoyed a nice beverage. I liked their connection to the audience .
Very funny parts. I loved everyone’s voice but MS DAHL WAS INCREDIBLE !!

I’ve been going to TMBT since 2012 and let me just say, each time, no matter how many times I’ve been previously, is like I’m rediscovering an Unforgettable Experience.
This Highly Talented group of 5, exude that romantic, intimate experience where it feels as if each person is singing directly to you.
Not into that romantic feeling? That’s okay too, because they’re also hilarious and always include comedic breaks that will have you laughing from their transitional comedic skits, to their choreography, and their amazing impersonations
TMBT (The Music Box Theater) run shows that have different themes every 3 to 4 weeks and it’s constantly changing. Examples of past themes are: Autumn in New York, The Luke and Brad Show, Little Shops of Horrors, Motown and Beyond, Broadway, Beetles Christmas, and more.
This troupe can satisfy anyone’s desire for talent and amazing live entertainment and will convert anyone who isn’t into life entertainment, into a regular TMBT goer.
Every seat in the house is an amazing seat and the singers do everything from the ticket sales, providing the guest service at the bar, and of course the main act, the singing.

Friday 1÷29÷16. This was my second time at TMBT with my girlfriend Sunny. My first time was a surprise (she wouldn’t tell me what she was taking me to), as sad as I was to find out it wasn’t a Heavy Metal Death band, I was pleasantly surprised and entertained the whole evening.
The staff is extremely friendly from the moment you walk in. Quick and easy access to snacks/​drinks before you walk in. The crew greets and chats with its guests to give a real homey feel. Plenty of space to sit and feel comfortable yet involved with the show. 15 minute intermission for a wine refill was a plus.
Cast, crew, and band are all very talented and maintain your attention to the end of the show. I would highly recommend TMBT show to any of my friends and family.

I have gone to 3 shows at The Music Box Theater! Every single show was phenomenal! The theater is quaint and has a small cast. The have a bar with selections of wine and a very small beer selection. They do have some pretty strong bottomless memosas, so drink up on those!
I have seen The White Christmas Album 2 times now. It is something they do during the Christmas Holidays that combines some classic Beatles tunes with Traditional Christmas Music! While at the show, they pass out a contact information piece of paper. If you fill it out and turn it in then you will win free tickets to another show! That is how I got to my third show at this theater!
The third of the three shows I saw was «Into the Woods»! They had a different layout than what «A White Christmas Album «had. It was more open and audiences sat on all four sides which was so fun! Both shows had an intermission.

I’ve been seeing shows here for the past 4 years, and I have loved every one. The music is fantastic, the venue is cozy and inviting, and the performers are talented and hilarious. It is definitely a unique experience. If you haven’t been there, give it a try!

Last night we saw Motown and it was just wonderful. This s our second show there and the quality is fabulous. Even bought tickets for their Christmas show already that starts soon. We will be regular attendees!

What a lot of fun in a hidden little gem on Colquitt. The husband/​wife owners star in each production. It is. Small they’re with a well stacked bar giving the place a cabaret atmosphere. The music and acting is great. You will laugh, sing and want to jump out of your seat and dance!

I’ve only seen two musical which were really good. They mostly do a lot of music revues. They have mics and a live band which is unheard of for local theater. The company has superb acting and singing. The building looks like it was set in an old strip mall restaurant or coffee shop so it’s a pretty intimate audience. It also means there’s not a lot of space for the stage, which is a shame because the talent is so good here.

My wife and I went to Houston’s Music Box Theater to see their latest cabaret production, «Autumn in New York.» As usual, we and the rest of the audience were delighted with their performance. Whether you live in Houston or are just visiting, do not miss their productions!
