I like the layout and decorations in this place. Its a bit of a maze, clean, has the right amount of tables, and there is some interesting art on the walls. Definitely a «lounge» with not a lot of room for dancing. Depending on whats going on, they will either have more or less areas opened or closed. Went for Halloween which was a blast. They had all the bars open and was very interesting. I would do Halloween here again. On any other night, this wouldn’t be my top choice but its a nice place. If you want to go to a somewhat fancy lounge w/o driving to midtown, this would work. Drinks are pricey with cocktails at $ 10. Service depends on the crowd. Dress shoes and collar shirt or dress to impress kind of place.

I hosted an event here on 12÷11÷15 and had numerous issues. 1. They didn’t serve 3 of the 5 passed appetizers that evening. I even asked about them during the event and was assured by their staff that they were passed and I must have missed them. 2. The salad with dinner was served an hour late(despite asking 3 times) after the entrée was served and most guests had already eaten. 3. There were no napkins put out with dinner and we had to ask several times for that as well. 4. The bar ran out of Coke and Sprite and the staff did not get more from another bar. 5. The Marque valet were not directing guests to the Octane Lounge as instructed. In fact, we told them twice that they needed to direct guests to the downstairs facility and we were still flagging down folks as they walked right by not having clear directions. At the end of the evening, when I surveyed the remaining 20 guests and asked if they had seen the 3 appetizers, they had not. I informed the staff and they assured me that they asked their staff and at least 2 of them were served. As a result, rather than taking my word for it, I was charged for the 2 appetizers their staff confirmed were served that evening. Then I asked if they had video of the event that could be pulled to confirm what was served and the following Monday, they confirmed that those 3 appetizers were NOT served. Additionally, if you still decide to do an event at this venue(good luck), ensure that the emails you receive with pricing matches the BEO you receive to sign. I found price increases on the BEO that I was not informed of previously. At the end, they refunded the money for the food not served, but still felt entitled to collected the 25% gratuity contracted despite all of these issues. It took 2.5 weeks and numerous reminders for them to process the complete refund due. For a venue that charges premium prices, we did not receive even adequate service.

Very elegant experience. Great food. Some drinks have dry ice in them offering a cool volcanic looking experience. Great for meeting friends went there with Events and Adventures club. Got free appetizers. Upscale attire and sometime live bands.

So I have been a member for over 2 years and I have to say that it’s one of the best kept secrets in Houston. From the valet parking to the cigar lounge, to the fine dining in the lounge along with the party scene in Method the level of service is always phenomenal. For me, the Marque has been a great place to meet with clients during the day and hang out with friends at night while also sharing time with business professionals from all walks of life. If anyone has great taste, loves the finer things life has to offer and likes to have fun, the Marque is the place to be. The marque also has one of the best servers/mixologist Luan Truong. He always goes beyond the call of duty! «It’s Shot Time» only at the Marque.

The male bartender here(working the Small Business Today launch party) absolutely sucks. Was at an event last night for a launch party to support friends and went to the bar to get a drink. The bartender was slow and thought he was too cool for school and he clearly doesn’t realize that your customers are why you have a job. If you are busy behind the bar then you will definetly be picking up the pace and have a sweat on bc you are doing what is called multi-tasking. Also, one of the qualities of a successful bartender is personality. This guy had none and was rude. So this place is pretty cool and I had no clue it was in Houston until I went to the event last night. The female manager was very sweet and handled the situation well. Find a new bartender that represents you well and treats your customers the way they should be treated and lose the all too typical guy behind the bar that thinks he is better than he is.

We had a business lunch here in one of the side rooms since one of my business partners is a member. It was a really great place for everyone to get together and we wish we could have stayed a lot longer than we did. The food was excellent and it was truly far superior to a fancy restaurant. TIP: The drinks in the members only area here are really inexpensive because of the membership fee, so take advantage if you’re invited. On another trip where we used a meeting room in the members area, my beer and my whisky only cost $ 7.50 total.

I came here with my best friend for a GNO this plays is amazingly beautiful & fancy inside. Jonathan I guess the cigar guru introduce me to my first cigar the Blondie in the cigar lounge, which was very nice of him to do that. The people there were very respectful and nice.

bouncer is strict on dress code. i watched him turn down people left and right based off of what they were wearing… however, he wasn’t rude about it… GUYS: don’t wear a polo shirt and jeans… you will get turned down… GIRLS: no flats allowed. you MUST be wearing heels.

I should give this place a 5 but getting in the door meant getting past the stereotypes. That was a challenge and thank goodness cooler heads prevailed. Once inside life was great. They almost lost a lot of money on July 13 because of the doorman.

Décor is amazing. …possibly one of the most trendy hip spaces in Houston. Bartenders are friendly and for us ladies the restrooms are extremely clean. They have a happy hour with $ 6 wine and wells. Domestics are $ 3. I tried the happy hour wings, sliders, and margherita flatbread all were great tasting and flavorful. I prefer this happy hr instead of near by Ra because there is usually no long wait for seating and fast service. My friends and I had a great time.

This is an upscale place for upscale clientele. You must dress the part to get in. Fridays are the best night to go. Love the atmosphere but be aware of the bottle service girls… last time I went she completely screwed up the check.

I came here the other night on a Friday evening. The place inside is nicely decorated but it’s tiny. They have a velvet rope and a door guy. It’s not what you would expect from a place outside of the loop. When we were leaving we did see a group disallowed inside. They were causing a ruckus. I had no problems entering and I was just wearing jeans and a polo. Inside, there seemed like a lot of secret rooms. The music was ok, not really much of a dance floor but it has it’s place for those wanting to «club» at city centre.

The 80s called, they want their club back. Well don’t send it back, because I love this place. Marque is a luxurious hot spot to experience the glamour, intrigue, and night life that the 80s were known for. I’m not a member, but my friends and I were able to check it out on a night that was open to the public. They’re not racist, because the only color that matters in this place is green. Drinks are pricey, but that is to be expected in a place like Marque. The décor is so posh, you have to see it for yourself.

I’m torn on this palce. Granted the venue was nice, I liked the different areas and really enjoyed just being able to shoot a game of pool in a decent atmosphere. I didn’t care for the crowd. Now, I’m not being racist, REALLY, but the night I went there I was literally the ONLY white person there. THEONLYONE. I felt like the music stopped and every eye was on me the minute I walked in. Really, like a scene from some bad 80’s comedy. It was basically packed with people bounding to rap music and drinks in plastic cups being spilled everywhere. Now I don’t know if it was because it was memorial day weekend, or maybe it was the DJ that was there, but because of that I have serious doubts about ever returning to this«private“club.

Total deushy bar, after a HS reunion In T&C my wife & I went to meet some friends here, most of them were already there & had already entered as a group. The total d-bag«doorman» wouldn’t allow me in w/flip flops even though I had a nice long sleeve button down shirt & jeans on. I know for a fact that quite a few others that entered before us in our group also had flip-flops on. Anyhow, will never go near this place again I suggest you all do the same.

I do not normally post reviews on here because I think most people only post bad reviews or really really good fake reviews. I’m only posting this review as advice to the bar manager or owner that they need to make sure their bar staff are being honest behind the bar. It is not good for a business when your bar tender is behind the bar drunk and messing up your customer tabs. It is also not good when your bar tender is giving free drinks to their friends and then putting those drinks on other people tabs to cover the missing inventory. I’m not saying this happened to me. I think my tab screw up was an honest mistake and I’m going to assume he accidental hit two wines instead of one but you have to be drunk or really stupid to think someone who have had only two drink would not notice a discrepancy with their bill. I thought the bar was nice and the staff was nice but they need to pay more attention to what they are doing and not get drunk behind the bar or hand out free drinks to their friends and hide it on other people tabs. I do appreciate them offering me a free drink for the mistake but it really isn’t a free drink when you have already charged me for a drink I never ordered. I have learned my lesson next time I will just close out after every drink I order because I just can’t trust opening a tab at this bar ever again. To add I’m not the only person today who had to argue about their bill being wrong so I hope that other person post a review too. This bar is nice but be sure to double check your tab or don’t open a tab all.

The Marque needs a fair shake. I have read the few reviews and honestly though I can see where some of those incidents could happen keep in mind of the context. I also hate the crap out of those reviews where the person that posts has only one review(which is that one), no friends and no profile photo. Marque is an extension of the auto club that is attached to it. It serves as the social club for its members You remember those places that you used to hang out at and hated it because trashy people or the riff raff hung out there and ruined it? Places like this solve it. The price of the drinks is to price those that can’t afford it out of there. Because, though money can’t buy class it can mitigate those«trashy people and riff raff» from hanging out there. The idea is to be ostentatious and over the top full of excess. The fast that there is a red carpet style entrance and marble floors with gold plated interior foyer should have clued you in that this is far from the run of the mill club or bar. The layout is pretty nice otherwise. I like the patio area the best. It is more less a playground for European expatriates who work for oil and gas in Houston, older guys who want to make it rain to get some attention and sugar babies who overtly dress sexual in hopes of landing a rich sugar daddy or hoe it up for the evening. In the middle of all that are people like me who from time to time end up there for odd reasons like being a guest of a member or knowing the door guy/manager/friend who is a bartender, etc… If you go clubbing in Houston running into pretenders, db’s, and party girls are gonna happen; This place is no exception. Just step up, talk them down and move along. After coming here more than a few times in the last 6 months I can say that the people who work here are pretty cool. There was always mutual respect and often times I get hooked up with free drinks or shots. One of the managers, Adrian, is a stand up guy. I’m not a member, I don’t act like a douche, and I don’t throw money around like a $ 30K millionaire. Marque isn’t for everyone(heck not even for me) but it isn’t a bad place. I can name a few dozen places that are more expensive and more terrible.

Nice spot for sure and even more so it’s nice on the eyes! I feel guilty taking a piss in the restroom, there’s no pee on the seats. The staff is hotter than the actual women who come in – my opinion. My bottle service was by a breathtaking black model I’m sure of. The implants were a nice touch to the good service. Drinks are strong and the music is alright. Not a fan of house, but they switch it up nicely. There are several doorways that lead to rooms which are membership card entry only. Those rooms are simply exquisite. From the plush décor to the beautiful staff you can’t ask for more. It’s more relaxed and quieter. Perfect getaway if you’re looking for a night out, minus bumping into a groupie. The cigar room is my favorite as they sell the best Fuentes and Cubans a man can ask for. Match that with a decade or older scotch and you got yourself an evening I will be returning.
