The Lighting Gallery

Likeothers I was told I would get in the light fixture I ordered in October and it’s now mid December and just today I was told that it had shipped today. Wonder how long this will take to get to the store?
This is not a store I will shop at again. Not trustworthy! And NO Returns! Awful customer service.
Also I found the same light on Amazon 150.00 cheaper!

I purchased a chandelier from this store and while it was being rung up I got the impression it was in stock. Unfortunately it was not, but I was told it would ship in a couple of days and be in the following week. It’s a month later and it’s still not in. I tried to get my money back but all sales are final so even though they don’t seem to have a clue when it might arrive I’m stuck waiting. As the other people have mentioned in reviews these people are very rude. I don’t ever plan to go back.

Recently moving to Houston from Dallas, my husband and I bought a beautiful older home in Huntwick Forest and are slowly making it our own. There are literally at least five lighting showrooms within two miles of our house so I would think the competition would be fierce, but maybe not. I chose The Lighting Gallery because I mistakenly thought it was the store listed as a place to order Candice Olson light fixtures. Researching again when I got home, I realized I should have gone to The Lighting Boutique which is just a few doors down from this one. I walked in with Candice Olson’s book under my arm with a picture of the chandelier we want for our dining room. I anticipated it would be as pricey as the fixtures I saw in their showroom. There were two ladies shopping together when I walked in that the large lady was helping so I browsed through the fixtures while I waited for an available clerk. There was another woman behind the counter sitting at a computer that never offered me any assistance. When the two ladies soon left, I assumed I would be next. She wouldn’t even look up at me, instead kept busy doing things at the counter. I kept browsing and moving closer to the counter waiting for her to finish what she was doing. I can’t imagine what her problem was with me; I’m a 52-​year-​old white male nicely dressed driving a nice vehicle and I can afford to buy any fixture I saw on their floor, but you’d think I was a leper by the way she treated me. I finally just stood on the showroom floor and looked at her until she spoke to me. She wouldn’t even come out from behind the counter. Instead she leaned over and looked at me from underneath one of the fixtures and said, «Can I help you with something?» I was a bit taken aback, but proceeded because I really wanted this Candice Olson fixture. When I realized that this «lady» didn’t have a clue who Candice Olson was (a prolific designer with TV shows that have been on for decades and her own lines of furniture, wall papers and lighting) I turned on my heels and immediately walked out refusing to waste the effort of another word on such a nasty and arrogant person. The only thing I would say to her now is Karma’s a bitch, lady!

Rude ! Rude ! Rude !. I knew I was not welcomed the minute I walked into the store. The large lady who apparently owns the store seemed too lazy to get her ass up to help us look through her collection. The place was also damp and has presence of undesirable odour like a bacteria invested damp cloth that’s been left sitting for days. When asked why her collection was pricy, instead of boasting the quality (if any) that differentiates her collection she arrogantly shut me down as if I had no money and should shop elsewhere. She ain’t got no class and I ain’t got time for her attitude !

Rude people. Woman asked to help us. Started helping us, then ditched us in mid sentence when she saw a regular customer walk in. Hope she treats her regulars better than new clients. Ill spend my money somewhere else…

I was building a home in town and decided to visit several showrooms in and around Houston. My builder wanted me to use a specific showroom to do my selections, however everyone has unique items and taste. I was very pleased with the Lighting Gallery’s showroom and knowledgable staff. Especially their interior designer. I would recommend the Lighting Gallery to all my friends and family for all their lighting needs.
