A good place for Brazilian blow out. I like the fact you can get a discount price for booking consistently.

I went to this salon after noticing how beautiful the color in my moms hair looked! She is 56 years old and the color was appropriate for her age, not quite the ombré and just enough highlights to give her some nice depth.
I made my appointment shortly after that evening and was extremely pleased with my hair color and cut! The staff there is very nice and professional while maintaining a fun atmosphere. I’ve now gone back twice for a root took up and highlights and once again I am very pleased. They also gave my two daughters much needed trims/​haircuts. Both girls look adorable! Their hair looks healthy and stylish
This is my new place and hope Dee and the other ladies stick around for years to come!

Helpful and engaging staff. They recommended products that would make my hairstyle long lasting but I didn’t feel pressured to buy them. They also offer great deals for loyal customers which I’m always looking for. In my opinion if you frequent a place of business it would be nice if they offered deals to thank you for your repeat business. I enjoyed talking to The owner while she worked and she also gave me plenty of information on hair care. I will be a repeat customer for sure.

If you’re needing a new stylist call Paula!!! She knows all the newest styles and techniques that could possibly be done with color and cuts, not to mention she does the BEST ombré! If your hair is looking dry or dull ask her for a keratin, it makes your hair feel and look FABULOUS!!! Everything about this salon is professional! Love it!

They really aren’t the most professional. Hard pushers of their specific product line as being the only stuff that would be good for my hair. But really, that is false. They’re also a little gruff in scheduling and just service in general. I also got a hard push on how I need to get out and meet a guy and maybe I should try online dating. I am a quiet sort of person, have no interest in going clubbing, and would really rather not confide my dating life with my stylist. Honestly, I’d rather just relax and not talk at all. So for me, the experience is not that pleasant. The girl who washed my hair was also not very gentle. She pulled it a lot. And it hurt.
That said, they do a really good job on my super fine, coarse, curly hair. So I’ll keep going back. My hair looks AMAZING at the end of the day.
So if I find a place that gets as good or better results without pulling my hair or lecturing me about my love life, I’ll definitely go there. Especially if they offer snacks or beverages. Until then, I’ll keep going to the keratin salon.

This place is great! I always get my Keratin treatments and two-​tone color done here with Paula. Paula does an amazing job at giving me beautiful high-​lights and low-​lights, as well as making my hair soft and healthy with the Keratin treatments and trim. The staff here is always friendly, and the wait time is not bad at all. I highly recommend them if you want shiny, healthy and beautiful tresses!

My g/​f bought a Groupon for a Keratin treatment and made appointment. When she arrived at the appointment, she told them she been here before and had a groupon. They told her since she been here before, she can not use the groupon, but will be allow to use the face value and pay $ 100 to get the Keratin treatment. She told them no and they told her that they can not help her in this matter. Do not go here for any reason. the owner will not service your needs, just want your money.

The owner is a rude and stingy guy. I did the keratin treatment over there, the first time was OK, but the second time they charge me 70 $ extra because they hired the unprofessional hairstylist. she waist lots of product on my hair., and they charge me for that

This is overall the best salon I have been to in NC, DC, Dallas and Houston.
They recently changed their name to the keratin salon from salon firdous, but nothing else has changed. When you walk in, you see modernized furniture, wood floors and hip modern music. You will be promptly greeted with friendly people.
Dee was my color stylist. He has been working in this industry for many years and moved from Boston to Houston to start his own salon. This was his dream.
He said «trust me» with this color, don’t be scared, it is green but it will be beautiful. And yes it was! I got many compliments, with many people saying it was very natural!
Mind you, I am Asian so my hair is black black and i have always wanted lighter hair. This is a pretty brown caramel color, rich, never dull.
And it is also the FIRST time anyone has done my hair right the first time! I did not have to go back and get it redone because the color isn’t right (ie. Aveda nightmare x3).
I also tried the keratin treatment. There are many versions to try. I am a daily hair washer so mine might not last as long. But it was totally beautiful, my hair was so soft, straight and no frizzies. I also bought the line of GK shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioning cream. The leave in is the best so far, I feel that it really softens and straightens well.
This is my second time. THe color again was perfect and my hair still soft. I have found a good place, will definitely be back.

I highly recommend this salon. Very nice people. I had a blow out done here and I was really happy with the results. They also have really great promotions. I will definitely be returning to Salon Firdous!

Okay. It’s been 3 weeks since my appointment & I wanted to update my review. When you get the keratin treatment that lasts 3 – 4 months you can’t wash your hair for 3 days following the treatment, which isn’t as bad as it may sound to some people (there’s also one where you can wash the next day but it only last 6 weeks). My 1^st post was during the 3-​day period when I couldn’t wash. Now that I’ve washed & styled several times since then I’ve even happier! My hair is so soft & manageable & I can’t believe how much time it saves me getting ready. I mentioned in my 1^st post that this isn’t my first treatment & I’ve always used the same brand. But for some reason my hair reacted better than ever this time & I’m sure it was because Dee took the extra time to make sure my thick hair had enough product covering it. I used to hate fixing my hair but now I just love it thanks to Dee & his magic. No more pony tails for this girl!

I had a certificate for a haircut and blowdry and this salon is in my area of town so I thought I would give them a try. Dee cut my hair and it was a great cut but they must have squeezed me in between appoinments because the cut took about 20 minutes and then product was put on my hair and I was put under the dryer while another person’s hair was cut. Not exactly the most pampered experience and I agree with the other reviews that have stated that products were pushed. Although the haircut was great, I did not get a good vibe so I probably won’t spend $ 65.00 in the future.

I bought a groupon for the Coppola keratin treatment. I was told it will last for 3 – 6 months. It lasted 6 weeks. The stylist was careless and burnt me a couple of times during the straightening process. He had to use an extra treatment (I have long hair) but told me that I will be charged for it, so no surprise on my end. In all, very disappointed by the longevity of the treatment. Maybe they used the 6 week treatment instead? Also, the stylist suggested I get a quick trim. The cost: $ 65. For a trim. In the end, they didn’t impress me. Not returning anytime soon.

I bought a Groupon for the Keratin treatment at this salon. The Groupon was for one Keratin Complex treatment, but while in the midst of getting my treatment, I was told that I required additional product and was charged extra. This was not disclosed on the Groupon. I asked for the additional money back citing that reason, but they refused. In addition, the whole experience had a sleazy feel to it. The stylist and receptionist both pushed the hard sell on products and hair cut that were necessary as part of the treatment. I won’t be returning and I dissuade anyone else from using their services

I’ve been on the hunt for about 5 months for a great stylist since my old one no longer is available. I have finally found my new home at Salon Firdous.
I called and was able to get a same day appointment right after work. When I got there, I was promptly taken to the back and had Brooke’s assistant (either Mari or Maria, not sure) started washing my hair. She gave a great scalp massage!
Once in the chair, Brooke asked what I had in mind and I discussed my need to go from shoulder length hair to some sort of bob. She agreed that it would be a good look and politely yet graciously mentioned that because I have a rounder face, an angled bob falling just at my chin would be my best bet for a slimmer look.
She was so good, extremely professional, efficient and also fun to chat with. She mentioned her husband Dee has over 20 years experience and whenever I’m ready for the keratin treatment, that they use the non-​formaldehyde option. She didn’t take forever to cut my hair (as some salons seem to do), she knew what she was doing and I was out in about 35 minutes. I will most DEFINITELY be going back for the keratin treatment and future cuts/​salon needs.
My hair looks so freaking amazing! I even ended up purchasing their Kim Vo products because I loved the way my hair looked.
I have easily found my new hair styling home.

What a great salon! I cannot rave enough about Brooke and Dheea. Their attention was very personalized, and it’s obvious they know their stuff. In addition to their many years of experience, they use excellent products. The color they used for my «overall red» turned out amazing! I know they’re new to the neighborhood, but don’t hesitate… you won’t be disappointed.

I got an email from Firdous announcing their opening. I’ve been looking for a new salon, so I threw caution to the wind and decided to go with it! Plus, I knew that since they had just opened, they’d probably be able to get me in that weekend.
I got a haircut and keratin blowout from Dee and Brooke, and I am so pleased with the results! They were very precise and clearly knew what they were doing despite being new to the Houston scene. (The couple told me they owned 2 salons in Boston but came down to Houston to be closer to family).
They have a very personalized style. Dee listened to me and was able to clearly translate what I was saying into a great cut and style. I think this salon will do well.
I recommend Firdous. If you’re looking, you should give them a try!
