Texas State Optical Northline

I made an appointment. They called and sent a texted to remind of my appointment I though that was awsome of them. When I arrived the staff was very nice and quick to assist me, they are very sanitary with everything every time before having me place my face on one of the machines they wiped it down. When it was time to pick my frames they where very helpfull on choosing the right frames for my face. Overall great experience best I’ve had in an opticals office.

Pleasantly surprised.
I was hesitant to go back because the optometrist that I had been seeing the past two years was gone. New guy — ugh.
I made a 4 pm appt on a Friday and it was fairly empty when I arrived.
Everyone was very nice and courteous. The young tech girl (did not get her name) was very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything to me and talked to me instead of at me. Win!
The doctor — Dr Le was great. He came in and was very informative — explaining things and he showed genuine concern. My allergies have been acting up esp in my eyes and he noticed that and wrote me a prescription for some eye drops to help. He also gave me a sample of refresh eyes to help my dry eyes. I was impressed with the fact that he took time to even check and look.
After the exam, he walked me outside to the lobby area and talked to me the whole way. He handed me off to the salesperson and she was great. I picked some huge nerdy frames and she was so professional and really made me feel comfortable about my decision.
Overall I’m glad that I went back here!

This is my 2^nd time visiting this location after 3 years. On my first visit it was a little chaotic because the place was packed and my appointment kept getting pushed back. This time around my visit was flawless. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. When I went in I was the only one waiting and I was quickly helped. The docotor I seen and his student were both very friendly and knowledgable. In fact everyone in the office was extremely friendly. I was dreading going in because I thought it was going to be a long drawn out process, but it actually ended up being very quick. They also weren’t very pushy in trying to get me to buy things I didn’t need. They explained all of my options thoroughly and helped me make the best choice. Before my visit I probably would have agreed with the 1 star review from 2009, but I can safely say that I recommend this place 100%.

Never coming back to this place ever again. They are never on time for their appointments. There is no point of even calling to make one when because they always seem to over book themselves and still accept walk-​ins at the same time.
Last time I went they were hours behind on appointments. I took off work and arrived a about 9am, my appointment was at 9:30am. So my time comes and I don’t get called, another 30 minutes went by and I still don’t get called. I go up to the desk ask whats taking so long. She says there over booked and they only have one doctor. Why would you over book and only have one doctor?! I would have left but I had taken the day off and I really needed new glasses. I didn’t get out of that place til about 2pm. Needless to say I ain’t going back.
There selection on frames aren’t that great either. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
