Texas Hookah Lounge

I have came here several times. Not much seating but it is fair. Parking is horrible. The BYOB price is pretty stupid to me there are plenty of hookah bars with actual parking that do not charge you to bring in your own alcohol. The hookah itself is okay the price could be a little cheaper. I do however like that they let us pick a Pandora station which made the experience a little better. I would not really recommend but i would not tell anyone not to come here.

This place is poppin! It gets super loud inside, the set up is like a club. The people who work here were very attentive and nice.
Usually we visit this place with friends and have fun all night, great atmosphere and service.

I came here because the reviews were pretty good, and I thought this place would be killa… But it’s not. I guess Austin has better places? This place is expensive for the shitty environment it is in lol. I would never recommend this place nor come here again ^_​^ just being honest.

oh my 5 stars for this spot good customer service, great hookah, excellent music, very comfortable and good prices! a must go hang out sam took care of us gave us some snacks and we watch a good movie!!! thanks so much for the very first time will be back!

I’ve been to places that are nicer and little less expensive but overall it was just okay. Don’t think I’ll be coming back though.

Great spot with late hours and ask about Sam’s pineapples :). Great customer service and they have every flavor you can imagine. Very laid back atmosphere but with good music.

I love this place! It definitely has a very chill atmosphere. I really love coming here to bring my friends who are new to town and they seem to love it. I’ve tried a bunch of flavor combos and they don’t disappoint, and I always get the fruit bowl and the ice hose or whatever it’s called lol. Anyway, this place is great, the management is great and they’ve got a super welcoming staff! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend!

This place never gets old. I haven’t been in a while but each time its always on point. The guys are nice and friendly and Erin makes the best bowls too ask for him.

Also a lot of hookah flavors with the option of adding an ice hose. BYOB is $ 5. Great swanky location but hard to find parking. The valet across the street is $ 5

Been here twice now. The vibe is right up my alley. First time was for a friend’s birthday party and the second time was a year later on 4^th of July. We BYOB’ed and had two Pineapple bowl hookahs. They mixed the flavors at no extra charge and let us control the Pandora radio so we had it poppin’ in there. I’ll be coming back before the summer is out.

Sam and raj were awesome. Best hookah place in town. They hooked us up since the place was packed!

Hookah was okay, until we asked for coconut natural coals.

Sam, the manager. was ultimate great service; along with his servers Aboody and Mustaz. We got decent clouds when we asked for our 2^nd bowl. But here in Texas, they like quick lites. In Cali, lounges give natural coals every lounge we’ve gone to. So we had to adjust. Regardless, great spot.
We only give 4 stars because we wanted more heat: regardless their service was 5 stars. Very attentive about how the bowl was hitting. Onto because we know how the bowl would hit, according to the bowl they gave us.

Arrived on a quiet week night in the summer, so it was just my friend and I. The guy behind the counter was sweet. He gave us complimentary chocolate bars (probably because we’re cute).
The hookah– kinda expensive, don’t you think? I think our bowl was around 30 – 40 something dollars, and it was the smallest size. I believe it was the grapefruit bowl? It was new to me to see real fruit incorporated. I’m not sure if it was for aesthetics or if it actually served a purpose, because if I was supposed to taste grapefruit, I didn’t. Also, I coughed a lot while taking hits so I’m not sure what that means. Is that a good thing or nah?
I really liked the chill environment and would probably return again on a calm night, but I will definitely be splitting the cost with my friends.
Also, parking does suck. I had to park in a nearby neighborhood and walk here. Kinda sketchy with the homeless people lagging around at night.

Grandpa makes this place! One of the most animated characters I have ever come across.
We were passing through on our cross country road trip. We are no experts but we asked for a double apple mint hookah.
The hookah god also apparently known by locals as Grandpa said he can whip up a specialty hookah and our request is a joke!
I am so happy that we are open minded. We proceeded to watch «grandpa» whip up a magical creation for us.
If you want great hookah with a show, this is the place!

This place is one of the best lounges I’ve actually been to everyone here is totally down to earth and just chill.
There’s no awkwardness here for sure, haha. I came alone which I normally don’t go out alone so it’s pretty cool I’ve been talking to grandpa and Frodo and they’re supppaa sweet. :)
I’ll be coming regularly! P. s. you can’t tip via credit card so bring some extra cash

This place is legit! The manager was hospitable & friendly! The hookah guy was beyond knowledgable! He wasn’t just your typical pushy sales guy! He listened to what we wanted & what we expected & went beyond our expectations!
I wish I lived closer, I’d rather smoke & drink here than other places! This place is fantastic!

I tried this because I’d seen a Hookah lounge on a reality show called Hookah Hollywood and I originally thought it was a play on words for Hooker Hollywood until I realized that Hookah was an actual thing to smoke. So I tried Texas Hookah lounge. He should rename it The Minute Hookah lounge because it is so small and not at all large like anything associated w/​Texas. The Hookah was $ 21 (he will remind you to tip him) for about 30 mins to an hour.
The man that served me I thought was kind of obnoxious. When I would ask him a question about the Hookah he acted aloof in front of the other guests but when I asked him something when no one else was around he was more attentive. Maybe I was embarrassing him w/​my naiveté on Hookahs. He kept telling me how he was the best Hookah taste maker in TX which I beg to differ because the Hookah he made for me which was some kind of citrus was weak.
After about 15 minutes I was waiting for it to be over it was getting kind of pointless. I could see if I were getting some kind of buzz or more alertness or tingling feeling in my head or limbs but nothing but some weak smoke blowing out. Also, parking is terrible. You have to park across the street and hope that your car either doesn’t get stolen or towed.

Parking– sucks. They have no parking, and the on street parking around THL is either packed or non existent because of street parking rules. I understand that they’re a small spot, but this made it difficult to visit.
Atmosphere– it’s «okay»… The furniture is old and the «theme» (if any?) is confusing. I appreciated the musical selection though. It made it feel like a night spot.
Hookah– SUPER expensive and honestly not worth the price. It seems as if it relies on the gimmick of hookah than the actual hookah itself. For $ 35 you would expect something amazing (the pineapple bowl that they promote), but you’re better off just getting the traditional hookah or going to places where you can get hookah at a MUCH lower price.
BYOB is nice… But don’t necessarily like the charge per item after the money you drop on the hookah here.
Overall, I would suggest finding a different spot to go unless you want the convenience of the place being on westheimer.

I like that I can come here after drinking along the Westheimer Curve.
The hookah is flavorful and nice. The staff could be more attentive.
I have never experienced the manager, BYOB fees, nor the time limit.

I really wanted to like this place. But the service was just nonexistent and the actual hookah was very harsh. I tried to redo the hookah assembly myself to get it «smokeable,» but I think it was beyond repair. Perhaps the tobacco they used was too harsh, or stale, or something.
Also, whenever we tried to ask the staff for help or anything, they just blew us off and/​or were visibly rude.
So even though I really wanted to be able to add a new hookah spot to my repertoire, this one won’t be it.

I went to Texas and fell in love with TEXAS HOOKAH LOUNGE! Imagine a hookah lounge that is BYOB, offering a wide variety of brands/​flavors and gives you the opportunity to control your own music. I’ve been to many Hookah Lounges, but I must say that I was quite impressed. Raj was awesome, and did a great job in creating a special blend with an ice hose for myself and Paul C.

You feel at home at TEXAS HOOKAH LOUNGE and I will definitely return in the near future :)
