I have been wanting to write my review for a while. Out of all the Laredo locations, I usually come to this one for breakfast. They do have good breakfast tacos(I usually get mixed with eggs and link sausage), but as another Unilocaler stated, they are ridiculously stingy with their salsas. When I asked the server how many salsas per taco, she stated«1 salsa per taco», when I asked how many for 2, she stated«1 salsa for 2.» Obviously, this math didn’t make sense to me, and I need at least 2 salsas, they are little to begin with! We kept going back and forth and she finally caved in and gave me 2 salsas, but geesh! Who’s to say they were both for me? Please get better with your service and don’t be stingy with the salsa! It’s not like we’re asking for 10 cups!

The barbacoa taco is amazing! It’s just so good that I keep craving it. We tried Taqueria Laredo because of the Texas Monthly article that recommended the spicy chicken taco, which was good, but the barbecoa taco stole the show. And the tortillas were fresh and fantastic. I also tried the egg and chorizo but thought it was a little dry – my friend had the egg and chorizo taco with refried beans, and it was definitely better that way. And at $ 2 per taco, it’s a good deal for lunch. The only downside is that the line is a bit long.

Great food. Parking sucks. Wish they had better hours. Food is a bit different than the Washington location but still good

I can’t believe I came here and they were closed. I really wanted to try. I came 30 minutes before they closed and they closed early? What kind of place does that? I’m extremely upset. I never want to come here if they do that kind of injustice.

My favorite of all the Laredo operations /locations. Deep in the hood, and the flavor is for real. The tortillas are excellent and you really can’t go wrong with the choices of fillings. My fav is the pork in red sauce, but I always balance it out with a barbacoa and /or the chicharron. The salsa’s are as close to perfect as you can get. Good food fast and worth the money. Always a good combination.

The best breakfast tacos! Delicious homemade tortillas. This is the smaller location but feels cleaner and much more well lit. The last two times I visited the cashier was super friendly and actually spoke to all the customers which is why we knew coming back to this location the other location and flat out rude and seem bothered when you ask them something

So now that I’ve been to every taqueria Laredo, I can safely say that my initial opinion was correct… that opinion being«meh». Why are there like a million of these in Houston? I’ve had every taco on the menu, and only once for that matter. The one on Washington is always busy as hell… maybe they like it when the lady at the register is rude to them. Go to Gerardo’s down the street and have the best barbacoa your mouth can take.

This part of town really has a good amount of Mexican restaurants in the area, so its really not that hard to find a good one, but this place just has that better feel to it. The place is very clean, but since i’ve only been here once, I really can’t give it more than 3 stars. I can say that the food was very tasty, but their salsa needs to be way more hot!

This is one of my favorite breakfast taco spots in the city, for good reason. I think it may get the least business of all 3 locations of Laredo, but it is very close to my favorite thrift store too, so I hit them both on the same morning. My typical order is a spicy beef fajita taco(flour), picadillo(flour), barbacoa(flour) and a large melon agua fresca. It’s $ 8, they include tax in their prices. The homemade tortillas are some of the best in the city. I recommend visiting during breakfast or lunch when they are busy, the food is hot fresh and tortillas are continuously being made in front of you. If you visit during dinner, you are likely to get tortillas left over from the lunch service.

There is a picture circulating on Facebook showing a rat going into an air vent here. When the owner was confronted they claimed that it was their pet. This is hard to believe but either way it’s completely disgusting. I completely advise anyone from going to this restaurant unless they don’t mind mystery meat tacos.

For good home-made tortillas and HOT salsa, check out Taqueria Laredo. I’ve been coming here for years and just now and writing a review Located right by the corner of Patton St & Fulton St, this small taqueria has a line almost out the door, every time we visit. That should tell you something. Along with the aforementioned delicious home-made tortillas, they serve the food cafeteria style — so that you can see and choose the types of soft tacos you want. Most days, they serve a variety of mexican breakfast tacos(Potatoes & eggs, Mexican sausage & eggs, Eggs & Nopal, etc). They also have traditional tex-mex tacos(Ground beef, Picadillo beef, Carne Guisada, etc). On top of all this, they serve frijoles a la charra and Mexican fideo with chicken. The Fideo by itself is delicious. Fideo is a very thin pasta that is cooked in a soup, usually with meat, veggies and spices. They also serve chips, salsa(watch out for the green salsa) and mexican soft drinks. We will return

My favorite of the taqueria laredo’s. Place is super clean. Line is never too long and the tortillas are always spot on. Prices are reasonable and it’s a really cool neighborhood. I pop by for breakfast tacos after hitting up the YMCA around the corner before venturing back home to the Heights.

I hate to be the one to add a bad review as i see many have written good things about these places. But who knows maybe i went on a bad day. But anyways here is my story because i too use to love their tacos more so then any other place and now that has changed. But a few days ago was sadly my last trip. Never again will me and my bf will return to any of the Taquarilla Larado places in houston. Back in 2008 – 2010 the tacos and serves was great. Now it has new faces managing the place and the ladys are all rude and sadly the tacos are not the same anymore. We noticed the tacos tasted different and have WAYWAYTOOMUCHGREASE. YUCKGROSS! NOTHEALTHY! Why hasnt the city or anyone called the city inspector and health inspectors on these people? We were so affraid of having a heart attack just eating the tacos so we asked nicely to exchange them for the way they tasted and they had way too much grease dripping from them and they refused to be of serves and stated they couldnt resell the tacos. Really? If i was the next customer in line seeing that which i know everyone there clearly seen and heard what was going on, i surely would have left and not wasted any more of my time or my precious money. So sad to see there are careless people that have small resturants like these here in our own city that doesnt care about the health of their own customers and would rather be stingy to make quick money instead.

I’ve eaten at all locations, but this one is my favorite! It’s so close to home, food never disappoints, and it’s never packed like the one on Washington or Cavalcade. Well maybe in the mornings it is, not sure. I always go for lunch or after. I prob eat here about once a week. The one thing I’m not crazy for is their soup, so I just stick to the tacos and it’s all good.

YUMMO!!! I dropped in for a quick lunch. The ladies were really sweet. I tried the spicy fajita & puerco verde. both were super yummy!!! The tortillas are handmade & fresh. I asked for beans on my tacos & it added great flavor. I liked the red salsa just a lil more than the green, but both were good. Service was very quick & ya can’t beat the price! Also ordered a lemonade which was perfect! I will be coming back for sure to try their other items.

Tacos just got real, yo! A good friend of mine lives a few blocks from here and introduced me to this TL location several years ago and I’m so glad she did! The tortillas are light, pliable, and delicious! They’re perfect for cradling delicious pappas, frijoles, and huevos… or whatever you like in your tacos. I obviously like breakfast tacos. It’s a cafeteria type setup. Walk down the hot tray aisle and tell the lady what you want in your taco. They have nopales, barbacoa, tripas, and other nasty bits that I enjoy. I’ve never been to the Washington location but I can definitely recommend this location! It’s in a slightly sketchy area … so you know it’s good.

The Washington location has become an abysmal mess. The long lines are unwarranted, the food is mediocre at best; the hand made, flour tortillas taste as if they were made the night before, and the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen, a sign that states:“one serving of hot sauce per two tacos” What… I need at least two per taco, and what if one taco was for someone else? We’d have to share one lousy, teeny, tiny cup of salsa? that put the final nail on that coffin. This taqueria used to be one of my favorites, now its just a bad joke.
