I was really dreading going to this place because the reviews on Unilocal were not very good. I was really expecting the worst but was desperate as my regular weaveologist was booked for until November. I figured I just go in for a sew in because I needed it badly. To my surprise, I must say that customer service was on point from the moment I walked in. The receptionist were informative, cordial and professional. The next point of contact happened to be the braider Ms.Lorraine. She worked really fast and always made sure to ask if the braids were on too tight or if I wanted something to drink. Next, finally off to get my sew in, in the hands of Ms. Carissa. She was quick and really nice. I was able to ask her questions about different types of sew ins and hair types, as I am not very familiar with what would work on my type of hair. I ended up paying $ 130 for the services which included leave out and 3 bundles. Im not sure what the $ 50 sew in entails but either way I was satisfied with the results. Overall, every single person working here was very attentive, friendly and professional. The sew in looks great and I will definitely come back.

I’m new to Houston but like every woman finding a hair spot is of the utmost importance!(LOL) this place was recommended to me and it was as good as she said. Staff was polite and friendly, everyone introduced themselves and answers all my thousands of questions, prices are reasonable, being a natural girl they are very gentle with my hair esp the edges. I know I’m going back! U should too!

Decided at 12pm on a Saturday that I wanted a new do for my upcoming birthday. Clearly didn’t have time for an appointment. I gave them a call and they politely informed me that they accepted walk-ins. I arrived and was greeted with great service. I asked for Joi(who i found out later was the owner) only because we had spoken on the phone. She gave me the run-down on all the different packages and hair selections. So here’s the order of service. Each person that touches your head will introduce themselves and give you a brief consultation. The girl who washed/braided my hair ran through different options of braiding for versatility in my styling. She didn’t rip my edges off or braid too tight! The next chick sewed my hair on(i bought their hair and it matched pretty well) and styled it for me. Every one was nice and informative. There was music blasting in the shop as background noise and a few movies on the television to watch while i just.well.sat there getting my hair played in. I have natural hair and i’m picky about my straightening so that’s why I didn’t give them 5 starts. I wanted my own hair a little straighter. Getting a weave takes a while, but I wasn’t in there ALL day. from wash to curl was about 3 hours. I have a brief wait while my stylist ran to grab food.(so typical) I also thought the place was a little dusty. Not dirty, just needs a deep clean and some upgrades. That will take the shop from good to great. Presentation is always key. You never know how tight something is until you wake up the next morning. No pain! braids aren’t too tight. I mean they’re tucked in for sure, but i’m in zero pain. I certainly recommend this place. There was a diverse clientele as well. Everyone walked out with a smile while i was there.

This is the LAST place I ever expected to buy hair from. The ONLY reason I did, was bc I needed a quick hairstyle and the orignal place I normally go to(boojee hair) is a ways from me. my hair quality eh, it’ll do… for about 2 or 3 installs probably just 2. but my lace closure… the worst. Entirely way too thick. i had to purchase another one… $ 130 gone. It was terrible, I couldn’t even wear it. The front of my head looked like George Washington. Never again.

I absolutely love this place. I have healthy natural hair and I believe that it’s important to maintain your natural hair as well as your weave. The process here is simple. The hair lasts a long time and the sew in I get is quality. My stylist from day one has been Antania. I have never had a problem at this location and I like to go where everyone knows my name. I walk in I’m greeted with a smile they know my name ask me how’s my day etc. This is a place that I not only get my hair done but I come to unwind. The staff are friendly Amy is great. Support the business. This is quality and you get what you pay for.

HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE ! I came there about 9 months ago and the wait was okay and the receptionist was kind of rushing me even though they just opened. I had a shaved side so they referred me to someone who knew how to do it. I waited a little over an hour before the lady showed up to do my hair. I took my hair out less than 2 weeks later because I missed my natural hair when I took it out I had sores and scabs in my hairs and ended up with a big bald spot in the middle of my head. I kept trying to call the main manager but the receptionist kept hanging up on me. So I finally got in contact with Joi, the Manager and she blamed my big bald spot on ME like I’m the one braided it. Even with the sew in I took care of my hair so how was it my fault. I got my money back and had to get shots in my head to make my hair grow back. Never again I will go to these people.

They take walk ins and are great with being upfront about pricing. I felt comfortable however I got more done than it was necessary and the weave quickly became uncomfortable. I called and I was put on hold 4 times so I went elsewhere.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would… Ladies, if you enjoy having a head full of healthy hair but is only looking for a weave as a protective style, this ISNOT the place to go to. I went to Superweaves because of the pictures loaded on their Instagram, and the advertisements on the radio… If I could do it all over again, I would. I went in and got TheWorks only to find out that a week later, I’d be bald! First, I was sent off to a braider. As she began braiding my hair she asked me if it’s too tight… Problem #1: If you have to ask, then what do you think??? After telling her it was too tight, she continued to braid… even tighter!!! Once she finished braiding, the stylist came and got me and began her painful process. Problem #2: I paid extra and got the net applied to my braids to «protect» my hair… well, as soon as she applied the net, it got even tighter! Problem #3: Then she began sewing the tracks to the net, and at this point I was in excruciating pain! After telling the stylist over a dozen of times how tight she was sewing and how much pain I was in, she simply replied,” I Sew tight, would you like an Alieve?” REALLY!!! That’s how you respond to a hurting money paying client? Long story short, my hair was sooooooo tight, I couldn’t sleep at night, nor turn my head. I had bumps ALL around my perimeter, and even scabs in my scalp! I only kept this worthless sewin for a week, and still ended up with a patch of missing hair! So PLEASE ladies, you have been warned!!! If you want a cheap sewin, inexperienced stylist, and a head full of scabs, this is the place, if not stay FAR, FARAWAY!!! You truly get what you pay for!

This is a review on their«remy» hair. And I use that term lightly. Pros Its inexpensive. True to length. Cons Thinly wefted bundles(mine weighted in at on 3 oz) The quality of the hair is sub par. You may get 2 installs out of it if your lucky.

Ladies please do not be fooled by the $ 50 sew in. That is only there to pull you in. YES, they do offer a sew in for $ 50 however, to get a quality sew in, be prepared to pay at least $ 100 – 130. These young ladies do decent work, but do know that they are weavers, NOT hair care specialists. There is no reason any stylist should have to charge extra to not cut tracks when weaving. It is 2013, there are TONS of youtube videos showing the fold-over method. They charge you to not cut your tracks but get this, if you bring in hair where the tracks have been already cut, they charge you to use it. Stop cutting tracks! This is a one stop shop as they sale hair as well. The hair I got from them was the crème de la crème raw virgin hair. It was fantastic. Will definitely buy again. All in all, this is a decent weave shop, but honestly, you could find someone who works from home to do the same job cheaper. Save your money ladies and go to someone licensed.

I’ve had the best experiences here and I’ve been twice. The first time, I had an appointment early on a Friday morning and it went well. The second time, they were not accepting appointments on Fridays or Saturdays anymore so it took a bit longer — but no problems. I, too, was handed off to someone else to braid my hair but it wasn’t because I wasn’t getting a net… because I DID get a net. The young lady who did my sew-in was nice but really didn’t talk too much and that was fine with me. I absolutely love the job done on my head and I loved the hair I purchased there(3 bundles for $ 250). Maybe I’m a lot easier to please… I’m not sure. But I will return when I decide to get my hair done again.

I went here only because I was short on time. The receptionist was professional and polite, but I waited about 2.5 hours despite arriving a half hour early for my appointment. Important points * I didn’t see any cosmetology licenses in that salon and the attitudes of my ‘stylist’ was very poor. *She didn’t trim or flat iron my hair which I paid for the in the package. * They do not clean or sterilize their needles/combs between customers so risk of infection is real. Be careful! *The sew ins are not good quality. Too many humps and lumps because they sew double tracks instead of singles. Long story short, you really don’t save much, go somewhere else and get what you pay for.

This is my second time trying them out. Yes, my original day was LONG. I had an appointment and still had a six hour day at the salon but, the owner was very professional, apologetic and accommodating. This second time I’m here, I had no appointment but its a Tuesday afternoon. I waited fifteen minutes and I have no issues. My stylist Monica washed/conditioned and styled hair in no time and I have no complaints. I’ll definitely be back.

I need to preface this with I have done sew-ins for over 12 years off and on to supplement income and make it through college. I’m not a licensed«weavologist» but I have been braiding and twisting since I was 7! So… when I say, the professionalism and quality of service is very lacking at this place, I mean it. I came in for a sew-in and didn’t want my hair left out since I am natural and I wanted to avoid applying heat for a true protective style. I was in the shop from 12pm to after close at 7:30pm(Sunday hours there are 12−6pm) for no apparent reason other than they don’t know how to assign stylists and have a general nonchalant attitude. I take responsibility for not running the other way when I saw so many signs! The stylist look like strippers… literally, there is a strip club called Fetish in the same plaza, plus they wear hot pants, and have 40″ weaves, massive amounts of make up… smdh…yet I didn’t judge. Then, the worst part is the UPCHARGES on everything, $ 12 extra to braid my hair in a circle wtf! that’s not included in the $ 88 package??! $ 30 extra because my hair is used? The last thing, was my stylist passed me off to another girl to braid my hair after I refused a net(extra $ 10) and she proceeded to braid my hair so tight that I got dizzy and had to take it out. They came over very concerned and I explained please stay away from me I will re-braid it. That’s when I should have left! But, I gave them the benefit of doubt for the 5th time and sat painfully as she sewed on my sore scalp. The next day my whole head was throbbing and I am not even tender headed. Needless to say I took it down that night because my hair falling out or my scalp getting an infection was not worth a fly bob, and considered the $ 130 a lesson learned. Please do not go here, this place is a hot mess that needs to hire real hair stylist and not strippers. Better value if you went on craigslist or to a freelancer.
