You know the pictures help you build a sandwich. They always skimp out on the meat and vegetables. I don’t understand why my sandwich is so small. I am after all paying for this. I asked for banana peppers… they gave me 3 peppers. So I asked for«extra» I got 4 peppers. The lettuce was wilting and soft. Really subway, you cheat us out on an inch of bread and now our vegetables. Not a fan.

Rude employees who make it clear they’d rather be at home. The bad attitudes from employees begins as soon as you walk through the door. One time I walked in and this younger guy sighed really loud. Another time I walked in and the lady working asked me «are you okay?» in a very patronizing tone, and then she began to joke about how long I wanted my sandwich in the toaster…“is 15 seconds okay for you? What about 14? «she was just trying to amuse herself because she hates her job. I’m not going back to this place ever agai.

Worst service of all the subways I’ve been to. Very rude employees. Surprisingly the young employees were the nice ones but all the older employees have been rude every time I’ve been there.

Ok. Confessional. I wear a collar. Not just a plain leather or a metal one. A dog collar that’s rather colorful with a jingly tag on it. With that said, it’s rather understandable when I go into an unknown establishment, alone, that I’m a bit worried how reactions may be. I’ve become more than used to just walking out mid-order. This place, totally accepting. No one, mark you, no one has ever point blank asked me about my collar. The older lady behind the counter — I honestly can’t remember her name, horrible with them — casually asked about it. I explained and she gave a smile and a quiet chuckle. Weither she understood its meaning or not, I haven’t a clue, but she wasn’t mean or rude about it. That alone has made me a repeat customer there. Okay, on to the actual establishment/food review! The shop was clean and, surprisingly, didn’t seem to have that characteristic ‘Subway’ smell. Everything seemed organized. The layout was logical enough with the line winding around to the left and the seating in the center and to the right after a small partition. The food… It’s a Subway. Last I checked, one of the goals of a chain restaurant is to be able to achieve consistent results between all shops. So, this isn’t much of an issue. It tasted like Subway. The skill of the sandwich makers, I feel, was above par. The initial order taker making sure the meat chosen was ‘just so.’ The lady that asked about my collar didn’t overload my sandwich with lettuce — thank goodness! Everyone was attentive and never asked twice. There was an issue with their soda dispenser and tea dispenser I believe, but nothing a quick call won’t fix. They didn’t have enough kettle chips, unlike some of the other Subways I’ve been to. On the whole, collar thing aside, it’s a nice joint. So, in general: 4 stars. Alternatives? Maybe don’t push the envelope, but a collar here or there doesn’t seem to hurt business relations. Try it out with the usual reasonable caution but on my experience: repeat customer, 4 stars.

It’s pretty obvious that I love Subway. If I’m out and want to eat«healthy», this is my number one choice. But not all Subways are created equal; it is a chain and chains are supposed to all be pretty much the same, but we all know that doesn’t always happen. They have remodeled this shopping center and it’s a LOT nicer now and looks less thuggy now See Daniel L’s review). So don’t be skeered to stop by here! I would still lock my car, as I do that any way no matter where I am, but I definitely don’t feel unsafe here. We stopped by on a Friday evening about 5:30 or 6 and there wasn’t anyone there, although about 5 – 6 people came in after us. I’m sure they get really busy at lunch with all the offices nearby. The young workers were super sweet and really friendly. They seemed happy to help us and the girl that made my sandwich even put 5 pieces of turkey on my sandwich! All the other places just use 4! I feel super special! Maybe she lost count but it was a neat little extra! The bread was super fresh and all the veggies looked good as well. It is a chain and really shouldn’t be much different than others and it wasn’t. It was a clean place, with fresh food and a friendly people. Now that’s what I expect from a Subway! And I love when I get that!

This was the original Subway in the area going all those years back. I am surprised nobody has reviewed it yet. This one survived Ike and kept on serving food, the only food option for several days after the storm in the immediate area until Mely’s and the others came back a few days later. The shopping centre has definitely seen better days. It is a bit thuggy — or as the Bone Thugs and Harmony would say — «thuggish ruggish.» Lock your car and don’t leave valuables out on the seat.
