I’ve moved 8 times in the past 7 years and have always used movers. This was, by far, the worst experience. The move was for my parents; from an elevator apartment building into a ranch home less than 3 miles away. I wanted my parents to see how much easier moving was when you get movers. Well, my parents were not impressed. It could just be that they were having a bad day? So, if you’re thinking about using them, take a chance. Either way, I will not use them again and would not recommend them. There were multiple issues with the move; a broken platform bed plank and a sizable tear in our sofa. The first issue was eventually resolved on the night of the move after multiple calls between us and the movers. The second issue is still an issue. Hector stopped by the house and attempted to fix the sofa by putting multiple pieces of tape over the tear, again after multiple calls 3 days after the move. This is quite unacceptable. Packaging tape!!! The biggest problem that I had was that, while movers were still at the house, they promised to fix both problems later that day or the next day at the latest and then FAILED to deliver on those promises. My husband had to call multiple times and eventually someone picked up and they only made good on the promise to get a new plank for the bed after some very stern talking. We needed the new plank because my 75 year old parents needed to sleep in their bed that night. My family helped move the apartment by helping to carry down boxes and we had already moved smaller boxes previously. We gave plenty of water and a sizable tip for 1hr and 45 minutes worth of labor. I notified Michelle multiple times to ask for her help in rectifying this situation and also to pay for the repair of the couch. Silence. The issues, lack of communications and lack of accountability made this a very stressful move. The reason this is 2 stars and not 1 is because it wasn’t all bad. Hector and his guy did arrive on time. Michelle was good at confirming times/dates. Overall, I think they’re nice people, just not good movers.

One of the best moving company experiences I’ve had. They showed up early. They notified me before they arrived. They charge by the hour but they worked at a break neck pace; I had a hard time keeping up. I was worried it wouldn’t all fit into their truck but they kept saying, «We’ll get it!» and they did. Friendly while they worked too. They were VERY careful moving my three expensive and very large heavy motorcycles. Not a scratch on them. Most other movers won’t move motorcycles. They packed everything away on arrival just as quickly as they loaded up. Only issue was the office. Michele was not the best of communicators. I asked if I could pay with a credit card. Michele said, «No.» But said nothing more. So, I assumed a check would be OK. When the moving truck arrived, they wanted cash. Which would not have been a problem if I had known in advance. Should be on their WEBSITE and on in their automated email responses. Also, Michele told the movers that I had small dirt bikes. She never asked me what size my motorcycles were. It was also difficult to hear Michele on her phone and she always seemed distracted. Best of all, they charged what I felt were reasonable rates. I definitely got my money’s worth. Would have cost me twice as much with other movers and i would have had to move the motorcycles myself. Hector was great to work with. So, if you choose Stuttgart, be sure to be very clear with Michele. I would recommend communicating by email(writing) so there is no misunderstanding.
