Best find of the day, men’s socks at $ 1.99 a pair, Cole Hahn, HotSox, K Bell, Florsheim, men can’t have too many sexy socks. Inventory seems tired, have found décor items in the past that rocked, but not today. The entire shopping center is in great need of a facelift or a shot of B12. Staff were helpful to search for an item in linens, check out was a breeze, one is the loneliest number and this place is humming that tune.

It’s a Stein Mart. What else is there to say about it? I’m actually surprised this place has stayed in business since it’s tucked away behind Del Taco and Fuzzy’s. Prices are not as good as Burlington, Ross, TJ Maxx, but I think the target audience is for a little higher income but still wanting to find those cheap bargains. Think Target vs Walmart.

I have maybe seen one or two of these stores around Houston(1960 and this one) and never thought a second time of ever stepping into one since the name was pretty misleading to me, but so was the Burlington Coat Factory. I love going into all the Ross stores like going on a treasure hunt finding that one thing that was not expensive that would catch my eye amongst the other mediocre priced things and this is where Stein Mart cuts in. I stepped into this particular one because I had a little time to kill and wow, as opposed to most Ross’s this place is CLEAN! Organized and you know what?! An actual employee really asked me in a friendly tone if there was something she could help me with or look for without sounding like I was being eagle eyed like I was a shoplifter or something! Like Ross stores this place has all the various house hold goods, fragrance candles and oils, clothing, jewelry, toys etc. A few things that Ross does not have and vice versa. The pricing here is a little higher than Ross but you know what? I“ll take this clean, friendly atmosphere, uncluttered store over Ross any day. Too bad I don’t think there are many of them around Houston but again when I would drive by and see the name«Stein» out of the corner of my eye I will not have my sense on auto ignore anymore, wow, time to visit the one near my residence on the 1960 side and while I’m there might as well google to see where the other locations are right? Thank you Stein Mart employee for surprising me and Stein Mart stores for ignoring you all of these years but I’ll make it up to you now. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Tip for new Unilocalers, if you have must made a review and it’s your first, chances are greater that that it might get«filtered out». Make at least 9 more and make sure they aren’t just one or two liners and most likely they will stick. Have a wundebar day.
