Love this location! Brian is an expert barista, Jason is super cool, Max and John Michael have good jokes, and the blonde girl is always running s**t with a smile on her face. Awesome Starbucks!

Went to this Starbucks while browsing in Highland Village the other day. It was fairly crowded. The cashier got my drink wrong, and I had to wait for the barista to make me the correct drink. The cashier was quite rude, and the barista seemed overwhelmed. The location was in need of a good cleaning. Definitely not a place to study or even have a quiet conversation.

Nice Starbucks with easy parking but they close way too early (7) for them to be useful to me for relaxing in the evening and reading so I only go there in the mornings now and then when I’m driving by. Nice staff however.

I felt compelled to review this Starbucks I have been going to for over 10 years because of recent terrible experiences. On a Saturday morning there were 5 people running around not really accomplishing anything. One cashier, 3 people hovering around food section, and one barista. The crowd of 15 or so people waiting for drinks must have been a 20 – 30 minute wait (according to guy who left before me). After 5 minutes of watching the barista be totally flustered and getting drinks out incredibly slowly, I had to cancel my order and move on. Something had happened to the management of this previously well-​run store. I hope corporate takes note quickly and does an overhaul ASAP!

The service is always prompt and friendly here. However, the coffee consistently (last three visits) has an extremely burned/​bitter taste. Very disappointing in comparison to the many other Starbucks in the immediate area. This one is the most convenient for me in the am, which is why I keep coming back.

This is by far one of the most disorganized Starbucks. Up to 5 baristas can be found working and when it’s busy e.g. rush hour in the morning it is sad and embarrassing to witness their lack of management. Don’t even think that placing your order online will make it faster; all the opposite they just disregard of failing to fulfill the Starbucks promise of «no time? No problem, order online». Starbucks is all about the experience and baristas here seem to have forgotten about it.

Absolutely and by far and away the very best Starbucks in Houston. Always cheerful smiling well organized team who is happy to make suggestions and quick in-​service.
This is a smaller location, and an older location, so don’t go in expecting a disproportionately large number of workers serving you. Be patient and keep in line, you’re going to get served by the very best Starbucks has to offer.
The only negative comment I ever hear about this location or based on the lines to be served, it’s not anyone’s fault but your own that you chose to get in line at the same time every other thirsty person did. This is certainly not a reflection upon the staff.
Not enough positive accolades can be given to the staff at this Highland Village location as they are top notch.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They close at 7, but put their chairs up at 6 and lock the door at 6:30, and will physically move your things to mop instead of waiting until they’re closed to clean up.
Not generally a Unilocal commenter or complainer but it was shocking to see such disregard.

This Starbucks is always ridiculously packed and they seem to take their time. While I have no other choice as it’s right across from my job, seems like at their peak times, they could work on a better system of being a lil better.

Line pretty much out the door. 2 people working? Really?
Barista doesn’t even call out your order, you just have to guess who’s drink is who’s. By the time I got my iced coffee it was watery.
Restrooms were disgusting and no toilet paper. EW.

This is one of my haunts because: 1) it’s around corner from my house, 2) I have a gold starbucks card, 3) there is often space to work when I’m bored and need to get out of my house. It’s a bit spartan but it’s convenient and the staff is fast-​n-​friendly.
Keep your expectations in check and you’ll be happy w/​this not-​so-​unique Starbucks.

It’s nice to know that there is still a sense of compassion in this city. On my most recent visit I went for an afternoon treat and when I went to check out my card wouldn’t process. I checked my account and it showed that everything was fine but obviously something wasn’t processing correctly. Of course the one time I didn’t have cash…
The main point of the story is that the 2 gentlemen working, (and they were that), were very discreet about the situation and let me have my coffee. I said I’d be back later with cash once I figured out what was going on and they were insistent that there was no need to do so.
I am so appreciative of their discretion as well as their compassion and generosity. Keep it up Highland Village and Thank You!

The worst part about this location is battling the traffic on Westheimer. However, if you’re willing to take that on or go during an off time you’ll be pleased.
It’s a friendly place, roomy, great staff, and consistent drinks. My service has always been quick and the baristas are wonderful to my requests.

Small. Awkward inside. Awkward outside at the tables too I suppose. Not always clean. Parking situation is awful. Baristas are short with you, not friendly. Keep driving to one of the other Starbuckses nearby.
