After realizing the Doctor my fiancé had been seeing was simply passing out Vicoden Rx rather than addressing cause of chronic back pain; I decided we needed a spine specialist.
criteria included: proximity to home, minimally invasive, peer reviews and what grabbed my attention was his ad that emphasized Stem Cell therapy (which is newer technology).
Being big fan of Stem Cell and our mutual apprehension of traditional spinal surgery, we chose SpineCare. They had a location near us on 59 in Sugarland.. its not open but we decided to go get opinion anyway at this location.
1^st visit I was sold. Dr ordered Xray, MRI (kevins 1^st in 20 yrs of pain) & a Diskogram (inject dye to determine which spinal disks causing pain). All revealed probs in;L2, L3, L4. The disks were pinched terribly.
Since we had met out pocket ded for 2013, I encouraged him to commit to surgery ¹²⁄₄. It was actually done as a DAY surgery.
Kevin was walking, albeit on pains meds, the Next DAY at Dr orders. Dr sd walk 3mi per day by end of month. Kevin didn’t exactly do that, but none the less is competely healed.
Much less irritable, more walking/​driving/​sitting just all around useful. Not complaining about back pain all time.

Cost was a concern but; SpineCare was exceptional at handling insurance, Minimizing copays, and expediting FMLA paperwork. Brent (RN)& Gloria (handles insursnce, FMLA.) were exceptional.
2 WKS after surgery he was fully functioning and enjoying life… amazing, No vicoden… very small scar… day surgery!
They use your own stem cells mixed w ground bone…
