St Michael’s Catholic Church

Beautiful church, wonderful choir and plenty of seating for everyone. They are having a bloodrive sign-​up today and raffles with St. Michaels School. Parking is available near the church or off street free parking. They also have light breakfast snacks after mass. I really enjoyed the message given. It was exactly what I was looking for in understanding the message.

This is an enormous church serving an enormous congregation, plus visitors to the local hotels. In fact, they even will arrange for shuttles after mass for going back to hotels, which I’ve never seen churches do before! The singing was very good, the church was clean, parking was easy even on a crowded Sunday morning, so I can’t say a thing about this church that would drive any Christian or person interested in Christianity away.

Really pastoral priests and deacons, great lay ministers who head the various programs offered for the young to old, and love going to Daily Mass here. The Holy Spirit is working at this parish! And they have lots of things for young adults as well. Although now that I am married with a baby, we may try out other programs. As for the Liturgy, they do post Vatican II tastefully.

This is quite a church! Choir is beautiful at the 11am mass, the homilies are clear and applicable. Very family oriented with lots of activities associated with the church. Donuts and coffee are served after Sunday morning masses. It’s located in a congested area so if you’re running a little late prepare to park on the street. Traffic controllers help with, well. traffic. If you go grocery shopping after church like me HEB is conveniently located down the street. I recommend going to this church anytime you’re in the area!

I had just moved from CA and luckily I didn’t have to go to far to find a church. I feel blessed to have found this one so close. It’s absolutely beautiful. I recently went to their adult confirmation program and enjoyed it so much. The teacher Mary was amazing and definitely knew how to keep the class engaged which is hard for adults in the evening after a busy day. I don’t make mass as often as I’d like but I am always thrilled when I do make it!

I am new to Houston and have been trying out different catholic churches to find the best fit and I have to say this church came pretty close. From the entrance, to the inside to the choir to the priest, everything just made sense. It is a huge church with a huge congregation but it doesn’t take away from the intimacy of mass. Today’s homily was amazing. The priests are just full of life and make their homilies relevant to today. I will definitely be coming back. If you are thinking of attending, you’ll be glad you did.

My wife and I have been parishioners at St. Michael long before we got married in 2011. It is a beautiful church in the heart if the city, and we are beginning to get involved in some of the vast programs St. Michael offers to parishioners. Whether you are just starting, restarting or simply in town for the weekend, I highly recommend participating in your Catholic faith at St. Michael Catholic Church.

Beautiful church. I alternate between this one and St. Cyril of Alexandria. Both have priests that are down to earth and aren’t afraid to have a sense of humor. This church keeps mass right at an hour and actually has ushers. I haven’t been to a church in years that still has ushers.

Beautiful entrances to this church, very ornate sanctuary. The priests are so down to earth and cordial. Come share the experience! Parking can be tough during holiday season. Traffic cops to help parishiners cross to the church on Sage.

This is not my church, although I believe it is the church that is closest to me. I made an impromptu decision to attend a weekday mass, and went in.
The mass was already in progress when I entered. The church is under construction so I followed signs, and asked church members where the entrance was located. It turns out near the port-​a-​potties. Not exactly the best place, to put portable bathrooms, but that’s a side note.
The church is beautiful, traditional, and ornate. The priest (Father Nguyen I believe) led the mass and ended it with a group of prayers and a plea for more people to attend the daily masses.
I would like to attend on a Sunday, to get the feeling of the parishioners connection to the church. But I would be interested in attending again.

This school is really great, they recently hired a new principal who is fantastic. She has discipline and curriculum in mind. The teachers are great and I know the tuition is half the price of St. Anne’s. The office staff has been friendly every time I have been in, and the admissions director is wonderful! It is a great school, I am so happy with the choice!

This church is really beautiful — my godmother’s daughter got married here!
