I have wanted to get windows my home windows treated with 3m film for a while. I researched, reviewed, and talked to people before I did so. Ultimately I made the decision to do so based on Texas heat, hurricane potential, fading caused by UV rays, and the potential protection from crime.
I emailed Solar X and received a call back within the day. Set the appointment and met with their representative for a quote. He answered all my questions honestly and asked me what I wanted/​needed from the film. He didn’t try to upsell or add anything. He gave me a quote for what I asked for and I felt it was reasonable for the product and service. Realistically I could have ordered the film and screwed it up trying to cut corners.
I scheduled the job that day. About two hours later I saw something I wanted to change. I did so without issue. The appointment was confirmed, the installation tech called and told me he was on the way. He arrived on time. He was very friendly and professional.
He explained everything before getting started and then worked straight through till the job was done. I know it’s mid October, but you could immediately tell a difference in the heat near the front of the house. I was worried it might be a placebo because I’m paying and I want it to work. I put a thermometer in the room and watched the temp drop 5 degrees.
The job looks great, everything was cleaned up and I’m glad I decided to do it. The folks at Solar X did a professional job. I’d use them again or recommend them highly.
