This deli is located in the building where I work so that really is the ONLY reason I visit. Strictly for convenience. The prices they charge are crazy. I pay over $ 1 for a canned drink and almost $ 3 for a very petite taco. I will only go to this deli for breakfast. You will be waiting all day when it comes to sandwiches and burgers. And the food is nothing special.

The rudest employees… they act like you are bothering them. If you come down at 9:50 for breakfast they act like they don’t understand English and then say no more. The breakfast stuff is still out and clearly available. Then at lunch if you come down at 1:45 they are pretty much packed up and one foot out the door to leave. The employees are the rudest and most unhelpful employees I have ever encountered at a deli. If they had nice and friendly employees the companies revenue would improve significantly. Our office calls the deli. Nazi Deli. We hate that place and avoid it at all costs.

When we first came to this building I visited daily to give everything a try. Breakfast is good, but you need to get there well before 9:30 and make sure you know what comes with your order because they don’t. Lunch is OK, but overpriced. Order anything from the grill and prepare to sit and watch the TV because it takes a while. I stopped visiting after they got new digital menus and raised their prices. I paid $ 11+ for a sandwich, chips and fountain drink. Seems the staff is pulled in several directions without a streamlined set up. Customer service is not valued here and only a few employees are nice, the rest act as if ordering something is disrupting their day.

Convenient, fresh food, and reasonable prices. The staff is always very friendly and has a smile on their faces. They have a salad bar, a large variety of sandwiches, hot plate(with a few daily specials), a grill for burgers and hot sandwiches, and a pasta bar. There is a large area right outside the restaurant that has a ton of tables and a few tv’s. It is a nice place to relax during a lunch break without having to deal with the crowd over at the Allen Center.

My coworker and I refer to this place as the breakfast nazi downstairs. Por que? They’re open for breakfast from 7am to 10am. If you come down there and want a taco at 9:50am, you’re pretty much SOL. I’ve seen them deny people of delicious breakfast grub at 9:51am even though the eggs, ham, sausage, etc. are still out! My rule of thumb is if I’m not down there by 9:30am, forget it. I’ll just suffer until lunch. I don’t eat here for lunch because I think you can get better food in the tunnels. However, they do make a mean breakfast croissant. Eggs, bacon, and cheese held together by a buttery croissant.

Skyline is a typical business breakfast/lunch place downtown. It basically caters to the business tenants of Heritage Plaza. It’s open at the crack of dawn and closes around 3PM. The prices are a little high for the area and sometimes the service can be slow given the amount of people in the place at any one time. Avoid going between 11:30 — 12:30 and don’t order from the grill if you can’t wait 5 – 10 minutes for a burger to be prepped. I would never go out of my way to go to this place, but frequent it because its convenient from where I work.

This Skyline offers salads, sandwiches, some cafeteria options, and a grill. There’s a huge variety of drinks and snacks. All in all, everything is overpriced, the service a little slow, and I can’t shake the feeling that I’m back in college at the local dormitory store. I mean the food isn’t terrible, but it’s just passable to leave you satisfied for a meal. The one redeeming factor is that there is plenty of seating and the atmosphere is nice and open. There’s a tall 2-story waterfall and a few TV’s that you can watch. There’s also a gym entrance nearby which can be fun for people watching. TIP — I like Tuna, but don’t get it here. You really shouldn’t ever order Tuna that isn’t in the form of Tuna salad at any cafeteria. TL;DR — Food is overpriced and edible. The seating area is nice though.
