I’m here every summer for one simple reason — Texas Tax-Free Weekend. It’s not because I could save a few dollars, but they have better selections. It’s like they stocked up for this weekend. My routine is to find the shoes I like. Get online to read the reviews about that particular model. Go back to the store and shop away. Skechers’ shoes last for a long time. I rarely have to buy them often. Because of its«Buy on get second one half off», I sometimes bring a friend to shop or buy the shoes for a friend. The return policy is very strict. You want to be absolutely sure of what you’re buying before leaving the store. One time, I had to return a pair of suede moccasins. Two were in different shades of tan. Ugly. They won’t take them back because a cowhide sticker was missing and they were«not salable». I went to my car and put the label on and said, «I want to exchange for a different pair.» The customer service is not the best but tolerable. Few years ago, I met a nice shore salesperson with lots of confidence and top of the line customer satisfaction. I asked about how long he worked there because I never seen him before. He said, «I’m the district manager.»

Bought a pair of school shoes here and decided to return them after getting another pair. Now the back of the receipt has NO time limit for returning the shoes so I figured I could return them 4 months later. Store manager was pretty rude and told me there are signs that say 30 Day return policy as well as on the receipt. Well, why don’t you read the back of the receipt yourself? Eventually she did and refunded the full amount with a pissed off look. Not the best customer service I’ve had…

I ventured inside the store after passing it so many times. The parking lot allows for plenty of cars, and it’s never full. Walking up to it, you will see outside the store all the 50% off shoes nicely displayed. And when you walk in, shoe heaven! Yes, it’s more on the athletic side, so it’s not going to be DSW gazelle shoes, but if you’re looking for the sporty look, comfortable, non-ankle-breaking shoe, this is a great place to start :-) I will definitely come back! Plus, DSW is right across the street, so if I still fancy myself a gazelle pair, I can swing over there too.

PROS– –LOTS of shoes! –The prices are amazing and they have Buy one get one half off! I got a pair of Shape ups, a pair of summer wedges, and a cute pair of Ballet flats from clearance and it only cost me $ 55! –Great Staff very friendly and lead by a great manager, she is always very helpful and really treats you like her best friend. Everyone that works here is very helpful! –They will try to find you any product you are looking for and can sometimes order things and have them shipped to your home. CONS– –Most of their product is on these tall walls, and they never have enough staff working to help everyone. Sometimes you have to wait a while to get something down. –Kids department is sometimes a mess. Again, so many customers and so few employees.

I came here looking for a particular pair of shoes to replace a pair I’ve had forever, not until I got home did I realize the shoes were made by «Simple» and not Skechers. Still, it wasn’t a wasted trip. The place is huge, like warehouse huge. They have everything from women’s, men’s, kid’s, and even those ridiculous ‘shape ups’ shoes. The place is actually organized by type of shoe. It was easy to walk around and take a look at literally hundreds of different styles. There is a clearance section in the back arranged by size. I didn’t think the clearance seemed any cheaper than the regular shoes, I think they are just back there because there are limited sizes of each shoe. I didn’t especially like the running, yelling, crying children that I found in here, but with children’s shoes comes children I guess. There are huge signs everything proclaiming«buy 1 get the 2nd at ½ off». That seemed like a decent deal, if you can find 2 pairs you want. We spent about 30 minutes in this store and my husband ended up with one pair of shoes. The cashier was nice enough to remind us of the promotion(proclamation?), but we let her know we only needed the one pair. She didn’t push anymore. There are a side variety of styles that mostly fall into casual to sporty shoes. Don’t expect to find a nice pair of heels or men’s formal shoes here. Yet, the place does what it claims to, it’s a footwear outlet(as the building says).
