I love my new look. Bao never disappoints me. I feel good whenever I come out from this salon with a brand new look. If you are looking for the best salon in Houston, I would come here and ask for Bao. He is so great. I think everyone from this salon is amazing. Very friendly.

I have to give a HUGE shout out to ming li and his whole crew at this new salon. The staff is always friendly and excels in fantastic customer service. Ming Li deserves major kudos for his amazing hairdressing skills, he always does exactly what I ask for to my hair and then makes it look even better than what I had hoped for. He’s a true genius!

For a long time, I have been one to spend $ 10 on a haircut. I decided to finally treat myself to a relatively more pricey salon experience. After a friend referred me, I figured Secret Salon 316 would be a nice place to give a shot.
I was looking for something light and fresh for spring. Bao was very helpful and informative while cutting and styling my hair. The shampoo was great, and he was very receptive to any concerns I had.
I love my new look. I’ll definitely be back!

My friends asked me to try a different hair salon. After Unilocaling for awhile today, I selected ML2 as the place to try for the new year. However, they had no open spots, so the guy directed me to call Secret Salon 316, saying that it is their new location with a lot of experienced hairstylists. So I called, and luckily, there was a spot around 5 PM for me!
My stylist was Joan. She asked me what I’d wanted, and was surprised when I told her if she could try something new for me. I just thought that I needed a change for a trip tomorrow, so she took a look at my hair and started her magic. Let’s say I love the shampoo, very professionally done! The cutting & styling were carried out smoothly too.
My friends who have seen my new hair said they liked it, and it is much better than with my previous hairstylist. I love the décor & service. Will return for sure! :)

Secret salon, which has same team as ML2. Their owner and also the stylist, Ming Li, is one of the best stylist I ever know. Secret salon is located at Dun Huang Plaza as same as ML2, on the second floor of the Kung Fu Tea building. When you get in Dun Huang Plaza, look at your left top side and you will see it. The store design is pretty good, just like walking into a classic café, lol. If you still not find a good stylist, try Secret Salon and ML2 team, lots good stylists there for you.

Built and managed by same team of Ming Li Hair Design, this salon has a lot of the same stylists who work there. Located on 2nd Floor at Dun Huang Plaza above Kubo Sushi and beside Melody, it is designed to accommodate more hair appointments and less walk-​ins than Ming Li. Because of this, the salon offers a great environment for a haircut. They offered bottled water to the customers while I was there.
I’ve been going to the older Ming Li salon for years, but came here when my stylist Judy moved here. Weekends can be busy, so try to come on a weekday when it’s less crowded.
They also offer Shiseido salon hair treatments to help condition hair — per their store, it’s the only salon in Houston to offer it.
Judy takes her time making sure it’s right averaging 1 – 1.5 hrs to shampoo, cut, and style my hair. Great place and will keep going back!
